A day after the events of the FNAF 2 movie
Michael Afton was a creep, stalking Mike for over a month now to understand why Vanessa had chosen some randos over him— her brother! A brother who easily figured out where Mikes friend, Jeremiah, lived. It was a smaller house considering he usually was the only one to occupy his home. But Michael... he just wanted to kill Mike, and finally create the symmetry his father almost created with the death of the short man's dear brother, Garret Schmidt.
From what Michael knew due to context clues, Abby had been getting ready for school but stopped in her tracks when an advertisement played on the television. One for a horror attraction... "Fazbears Fright" was the name. Then came on the screen information for applying as the night guard to watch over the place before it's set "grand-opening" in 5 or 6 days.
This sparked Michael's interest, being curious to learn more about this Freddy's "horror attraction."
"Mike! Look at this, there's a... horror attraction of Freddy's? Why would they do that. They need to let my friends rest!"
He came in half worried-half tired from just... everything. There's his extreme anxiety that he's being watched... but also because he hadn't woken up long ago.
"Abs— turn it off, we don't need to be apart of that nightmare anymore."
"But we need to go! We have to... it sounds like bad news, and we're the only people who have an idea on how to stop something like this."
"It is bad news, and I'm pretty sure Vanessa will handle this... wherever she went off to."
"That's the problem, Mike! She may be hurt... what if the marionette possessed her like me?"
She sounded desperate, wishing Mike didn't push her away as he'd done after her estranged brother made himself known.
He sighed, defeated once again by his little sister's persistent pleading. If Mike was taller, he would have kneeled down to her height, but alas she had her growth spurt already.
"We can talk about it after school, alright? And I'm sure we got ride of that puppet."
Abby looked down stubbornly, but she knew not to fight. It had been a rough night for the both of them.
"Okay..."
Michael's eyes watched as Abby left the house to wait at the bus stop, making sure to stay covered by the shrubbery around the house. And lucky him, it worked as Abby didn't notice Michael at all. Then he looked back at the TV that was surprisingly still on with Mike watching intensely as information came on screen.
"Come get spooked by old relics scavenged from past Freddy's location, The only way to see these is to come and get a good scare in yourself!"
Then the advertisement listed its location in town, just a few blocks or so from Jeremiah's house. Although the bigger man wasn't here at the moment; he has a job very early in the morning.
Mike immediately turned off the tv, unsure on how to approach this situation.
"Shit... this isn't good."
Said Mike, exhausted from the constant upbringing of Freddy's, feeling a little doomed. Yet he was still unknowing of the frail Michael watching him from a window, the son of the man behind the slaughter.
Something that Abby said reoccurred in Mikes head; what if the Marionette did possess Vanessa? Well, maybe Henry could help as it's his daughter who possesses the puppet. His mind was in even more shambles from everything going on.
Although for Michael... he was set on heading there, the attraction, next. And if things align, Michael could only hope the horror attractions night guard would be Mike. It'll give him the possibility to catch Mike alone, kill him– then Abby next! What a delightful plan...
Slightly after 4 P.M. when Jeremiah gets back from work
After a finally nice day at work, getting his mind off of Vanessa's creepy ass secret brother, Jeremiah reached home. Abby would be home very shortly, Mike still inside pondering a whole lot. Luckily Michael wasn't snooping around at the moment as he left to check "Fazbear Frights" out.
The man did his routine of checking the mailbox as it was flipped upwards, telling him there's new mail. But what he took out irked him, ruining his good mood.
"They made a damn horror attraction??!! Fucking hell..."
He huffed while reading into the news.
"This sounds bad. Abby can't hear about this."
She already did. But of course Jeremiah wouldn't know that, so he closed the mailbox and headed inside.
In his home was Mike looking as tired and worried as ever. Jeremiah didn't hesitate to speak up about his findings, hoping to catch Mikes attention.
"Ay Mike there's this new Freddy's—"
"I know. And I can't get ahold of Vanessa. I thought maybe- maybe she could handle this. And of course Abby seen the advertisement for it."
Jeremiah was almost lost for words, conflicted, but didn't go all crazy and instead had a suggestion.
"Shitt... how about that Henry guy ya told me about. Sounds like he's, ya know, kinda connected to this. So maybe he could do something."
"... Maybe you're right. I think he left a message last night, but I was just too worn out and busy to listen. We should both see what he had to say."
"Kay, hope it's something good."
Mike gave a "ha" without opening his mouth before going to play the message left for him.
"3... 2... 1... This message is intended as a warning. Mike, I wish we had more time after our conversation about Charlotte, but I'm sending you this message now incase I... I can't deliver it in person. There are things you need to be aware of. I was William Afton's business partner for many years, and although the equipment I have left over from that time is outdated, I can still track some of the animatronics. Mike, the Marionette—
Mike- get out as fast as you can, she's coming for you!"
Then the message ended abruptly, Mike and Jeremiah giving a worried look at each other before both looked back at Mikes phone.
"Did he just die?"
Said the taller man abruptly.
"What—? I don't know... let's hope not. And it seems like you were right, Henry Emily is more connected to this than just having his daughter killed by William Afton— his business partner."
"This Afton family is really messed up, dude."
"Yeah, but I thought about the whole family ordeal with Vanessa... and her brother. Anyways, they didn't choose to be born an Afton and have a man like William as their father. You get what I'm saying?"
"I get what you mean, Schmidt. Tho personally I think they still should be accounted for things they've done. But... ah, man. This is hard."
"Yeah... I just think Vanesa deserves a good apology. She really
"Alright... but how are we supposed to do something about both this horror attraction and Vanesa. And not to forget how the Marionette is apparently out for you...??"
"That's what I'm not sure about. But the marionette can be put to sleep by a music box, like the one Henry gave me."
"I'm guessing it's not permanent, is it?"
"Yeah, it has to be winded up every so often or it eventually stops..."
"Damn."
Mike took a look for himself at the newspaper, noticing Fazbears Fright advertised its need for a security guard to make sure not a single breaking and entering occurs. Seems like they didn't want their spooky, authentic relics to be swiped.
"Says they're hiring a night guard."
"You seriously gonna go there, dude?? For what we know, these relics could be blood thirsty animatronics..."
"Well I need to investigate this pop up attraction."
"Fine, alright. But you better be prepared for anything, dude..."
"Yeah yeah, I know. I'll head there now, just tell Abby where I've gone and the night guard shift I'm getting. And also that she can't go near the place at all, it's not safe for her to."
"Ain't safe for you either."
"Someone's got to put an end to this."
Mike said lastly before walking out of Jeremiah's home, pushing the door which closed it as he neared his car. He got in it and unconsciously speeded his way to Fazbears Fright.
Fazbears Fright parking lot
In a matter of just a couple minutes Mike reached the building, met with a parking lot near empty. Only two cars parked to where he became the third. It sickened him the more he thought about this places opening day. How people could just get away with profiting off children's death in the form of a horror attraction.
On entering the building there was a cast of fog coming from a machine, making Mike struggle to see slightly. He managed to make his way to a worker half asleep behind the prize counter, looking to be the only person in the building with him.
"Hey, do you happen to know where I go to apply as the night guard here?"
The young man wasn't paying attention, jumping awake when Mike spoke.
"Oh— yes, you don't even need to sign up for the job man, you got it. Just come after closing, I'll write down your name if you're able to do it."
Mike was genuinely confused by it being that easy to apply, but accepted as he needed to investigate every little crevice of this extremely green place.
"Um... yeah, I guess so."
After getting confirmation from the new employee the worker grabbed ahold of a pen, ready to write the stubby man's name down.
"So, what's your name?"
"Mike Schmidt."
Quickly the boy wrote his name down before looking back up.
"Alright, I got it down. There'll be a call from our phone guy each night!"
"Phone guy...? Whatever, thanks."
Said Mike who immediately began to leave, not wanting to be in a place like this any longer than he has to. After getting in his car, Mike stared up at the sign as he thought to himself, 'a horror attraction popping up soon before the demolition of the destroyed Freddy's... that's just odd.' After finishing that thought he drove off back to Jeremiah's home, at least happy he didn't have to be gone long.
Back at Jeremiah's house
"I'm back."
Mike announced, closing the front door before turning back to Abby who looked confused.
"Did you even get the job? You weren't gone for long."
"I, uhh... I was confused too. I guess I just have to come at night, and there'd be someone who'd call me? Yeah, not a very good system they have."
"That place sounds weird..."
Abby irked.
"It is. I'm only doing this to hopefully put it to an end before it opens.."
"Okay..."
She seemed a little sad he was basically risking his life to the unknown AGAIN. Anything could happen at tonight's shift, the next, and those after before opening day.
