Pomni was furiously typing on her notebook, the click claking of the mechinal keyboard generating a constant rythim that allowed those around her to be able to take a peek into the depths of her ire.
“hey Pompom” Jax leaned against the couch, resting his chin on the top of her head “watcha doing?”
“pirating the “the amazing digital movie”” she huffed in a low growl, shark teeth acting as yet another indicator of her mood.
“wow, pirating indie animators? And I thought I was the bad guy?” he batted his eyelashes at her
“weren’t you the funny one or something?” at no point her ticktacking stopped or slowed down, nor her eyes left the screen
“I can be both” he shrugged before perking his ears towards the sounds of footsteps
“Pomni!” Ragatha irrupted into the room, clearly agitated “you aren’t going to actually steal from an indie show, are you?”
“it’s not stealing, its pirating” Ragatha jolted in her surprise, so focused on Pomni that her brain had barely registered his presence “you can download a pirated game zero, one or a thousand times and the company would had lost no money whatsoever”
“I wish it made them lose money” OK, now that was kinda concerning. Sure, she could be mad, but this seemed to go beyond that.
“B-but ind-“
“”Indie” my ass! F”*@!rs are drowning in money! And besides, pirating is a symptom of a bad service! Gabe Newell said that, and I think he knows a little bit more about this topic that you do since he invented!” she stopped taping but didn’t moved her head, clenching her jaw in frustration “and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of PC!”
She huffed and puffed and growled while all Rags and Jax could do what’s to exchange worried looks
“they are going to release the ending in theaters!” she continued, before any of them could try to calm her down “and guess what!?”
“w-“
“it’s not global! F!*k anyone that doesn’t live in murica or japan or Latam I guess!” she want back to typing, in the real world the computer would had already given up by now.
“…I mean, they are going to release it for free globally two weeks later” Jax wasn’t sure if he was trying to calm her down or ragebait her even further… meh, he would decide later “you could just”
Jax felt in every cell of his being that he SHOULDN’T finish that sentence, but when the dread hit his brain the words had already left his mouth “Wai-“

“…YO WHAT THE F-!?“
“it’s not about patience! It’s that NO ONE can avoid spoilers for two whole weeks, its impossible! Specially since it’s the ending of a popular show!” she stopped for a second, inhaling deeply “it’s a f@#$*ing “pay or be spoiled” model and some people won’t even get the former option!”
“I mean” Ragatha started, hugging herself and looking at the floor “a study showed that people enjoy things more when they are spoiled s-“
“and!? it should be my choice whether to get spoiled or not!”
“W-well, you could try to email a local theater asking them to showcase the movie” Ragatha was moving like a drowning sailor trying to latch onto anything that could save him from water filled lungs
“yeah, because that’s alwaaaaaays works” she rolled her eyes so far back into her skull that for a second her pupils disappeared leaving behind two milk white orbs “besides, this is about principles! Some people don’t live in places with access to theaters! Some people don’t have the means to afford the time or money!”
“not counting how annoying theaters can be, with kids screaming and people on their phones” Jax was poking a bear with a long stick hoping that it would attack someone else, and so far, it was working
“exactly!” she covered her face with her hands “ugggggh, I can’t believe I used to support them”
“The only reward for loyalty to a company is deception and betrayal” Jax nodded with closed eyes
“…well, I guess then your options are either be spoiled or pirate the movie” Rag’s took a seat upon the couch, was there truly no other option
“yeah, if we lived in a place where it would be released then at least I would have the choice of paying a ticket for day one… I guess I could also join the amish”
Well, at least she was joking now, that was a good signal
