I was already leaving the house, and since I didn’t want to seem like a screw-up, obviously, I told my brother where I was gonna be.
Y’know, like how a responsible child would do.
“Arun! I’m heading out. I’ll won’t be gone for that long.”
"Where are you heading to?” he asked.
“Out for coffee with a friend.”
“Is this the one that you told me about??? You know the reason why you came home looking all pink?”
“No context. See ya, love you, bro..!....”
Listen, ok… maybe I could’ve felt a few things, but this meet-up with Superfish (who I somehow seem to trust) is the only reason this is happening. Besides, there’s no way I’m his type, and that he’s mine.
I arrived right on time, though I was one minute late. same thing.
I see him just sitting down casually waiting, but he didn’t seem bothered, considering that he wasn’t looking at the many girls who were taking photos of him.
I caught myself staring at him. Why? Idk. His teal hair brings a pop of color, and the first thing I notice when I look at him, I thought. So.. WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER, DEEJ!!!
He turns in my direction, waving, raising his hand to gesture where he was in the cafe.
“Hello there. Human,” he said, with a pleasant look on his face, his iconic smirk.
“You know my name already, just say it,” saying as I was teasing him, since he called me “human".
“Hold on, wait, what was it again?” I gave him a look expressing that I was over with that joke.
“I’m just playing, I know, it hasn’t even been that short, I would say," smirking as he said that.
