Seonghyeon was in his room, half-watching a YouTube video (definitely not Junhyuk fancon fancams) when a thought suddenly caught him.
There was that one quiet, pretty spot in the Starship building he’d always liked. He always told himself he should take photos there someday… but he never did.
And for some reason, today, he didn’t want to go alone.
He got up immediately.
Junhyuk shared the room with Yonghoon and Semin. Luckily, they weren’t there.
Junhyuk was sitting on his bed, scrolling mindlessly through TikTok when someone knocked—then didn’t even wait for a response.
Seonghyeon was already inside, leaning casually against the doorframe.
Junhyuk looked up.
…how is he so pretty?
“Yo,” Seonghyeon said, trying to keep his voice steady. “Do you wanna take some photos with me?”
Junhyuk’s eyes lit up instantly. “Sur—”
“Okay, follow me.”
“Wait, let me change,” Junhyuk said quickly, already standing and walking toward his closet.
For a second, he thought Seonghyeon might leave.
He didn’t.
“Um, can you—” Junhyuk started.
Seonghyeon stared at him. “Leave? You act like I haven’t se—”
Before he could finish, Junhyuk shoved him out of the room, cheeks burning. “What!? Stop!? That’s not true!”
The door slammed shut.
Seonghyeon stood there for a moment.
…Cute.
Junhyuk, on the other side of the door, thought the same thing—face burning as he changed quickly. Especially into his favorite outfit. Not that Seonghyeon had ever told him it looked good. Definitely not.
⸻
When he opened the door again, his voice was small. “Okay, we can go now…”
Seonghyeon nodded once.
Then, almost instinctively, he grabbed Junhyuk’s wrist.
It was casual. Too casual. Like he didn’t realize what he’d done until Junhyuk spoke.
“S-so where are we going…?”
Seonghyeon stopped walking so abruptly Junhyuk almost bumped into him. He let go immediately, face turning red.
“Uhm… just follow me.”
“okay…”
The walk was quiet after that, but not uncomfortable. Just… aware.
When they arrived, Junhyuk slowed down.
It really was pretty.
A small staircase—barely seven steps—leading to a quiet corner with a bench. Behind it, a black glass window reflected everything like a frame.
“This place is pretty…” Junhyuk said softly, looking around.
Seonghyeon glanced at him.
“Yes… so pretty.”
He wasn’t talking about the place.
“L-let’s take the photos,” Seonghyeon said quickly, pulling out his phone.
Junhyuk nodded. “Okay!”
Seonghyeon showed him a reference photo from Pinterest—one person holding the phone while the other leaned in to take the selfie through it.
“That’s cute! Let’s do that,” Junhyuk said, smiling.
Seonghyeon smiled back.
⸻
After a few tries, they finally got a few good shots.
“Should we listen to music?” Seonghyeon asked.
“Suree.”
He handed Junhyuk one earbud and took the other one, settling into his playlist titled i love you.
Junhyuk didn’t think much of it.
The first song started playing—“Valentina” by Daniel Caesar.
One of Junhyuk’s favorites.
“Okay, let’s choose the best photo,” Seonghyeon said, opening the gallery.
Junhyuk leaned closer to him to see better.
Too close.
Seonghyeon’s breath caught.
His heartbeat was suddenly everywhere at once.
Junhyuk scrolled slowly, then stopped.
“This one. This is the best one, don’t you think?”
“Yes,” Seonghyeon said quickly. “It is.”
They sat there for a moment longer.
Then the next song started.
“i wanna be your girlfriend” by girl in red.
Junhyuk froze slightly.
He knew this song.
And more importantly… he knew the lyrics.
I don’t wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips...
Seonghyeon went still.
“I forgot this was in here,” he muttered.
Junhyuk looked at him. “Is this your favorite song?”
Seonghyeon nodded.
He couldn’t look at him.
Not with that playing.
Not when Junhyuk was sitting this close.
Not when Junhyuk looked like that.
Junhyuk felt it then.
This moment… it felt like a chance.
Before he could overthink it, he leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to the corner of Seonghyeon’s lips.
Seonghyeon froze completely.
“…Junhyuk.”
Junhyuk looked away instantly. “S-sorry.”
“No...”
Seonghyeon turned toward him.
His hand came up to Junhyuk’s cheek—gentle, steady.
Junhyuk looked back at him.
Their eyes dropped to each other’s lips at the same time.
And then it happened.
A slow, deliberate, certain kiss.
Neither of them wanted it to stop.
When they finally pulled apart, Junhyuk exhaled shakily.
“We…”
He couldn’t finish the sentence.
Seonghyeon answered it instead by pulling him back in for another kiss.
This one lasted longer.
When they finally broke apart again, silence settled between them—but it wasn’t empty. It was full.
Seonghyeon’s thumb brushed softly against Junhyuk’s cheek.
Junhyuk smiled first.
Then laughed quietly, breathless.
“This is really…”
“Should… should we go back?” Seonghyeon asked.
“Yeah,” Junhyuk said softly. “Before anyone sees us.”
They stood.
Started walking.
But this time, there was no distance.
Junhyuk’s hand hovered near Seonghyeon’s.
Then slowly—hesitantly—Seonghyeon’s fingers slipped between his.
Junhyuk’s heart practically stopped.
⸻
When they got back, Yonghoon was already in the living room.
They dropped hands instantly.
“Junhyuk! There you are, I need to talk to you,” Yonghoon said with a smile.
Junhyuk glanced at Seonghyeon.
Seonghyeon smiled.
“Let’s talk again later,” he said—and winked.
Then he left.
Junhyuk stood there for a moment, still not fully back in reality.
Yonghoon was talking, something about schedules, but Junhyuk didn’t hear any of it.
All he could think about was Seonghyeon.
His phone buzzed.
Seonghyeon had posted the photos.

Junhyuk let out a quiet laugh.
“…with my bro.”
