comparison

Summary:

Gun is a strong guy, he's trained many people before that have all ended up being very strong. Just his name alone sends fear in people.
.
.
.
So why the hell is he cuddling with his own student? Even worse, he can't stop thinking about the fact that Daniel reminds him so much of a lost kitten.

—
gun compares daniel to a kitten, the comparison gets to him. idk how to tag lol.
I'll try to respond to comments!

Work Text:

1. seafood

Whenever you see a cat eating, you would usually assume that it's eating some type of fish, right? That's just a basic stereotype about cats. "All cats love fish, and all fish hate cats.", something like that.

So when Gun sees Daniel constantly suggesting eating seafood after training, it doesn't take long until it feels like he's taking care of a cat.

Seafood can't be that good.

"Hyung! Have you seen the new seafood place?" Gun didn't even have to let Daniel finish his sentence to know he wanted seafood.

At this point, he knows what fish Daniel likes and dislikes, and he can even remember how Daniel specifically peels his prawn.

Why is he even paying attention to all these details?

Gun watches as Daniel fumbles around the pages of the menu. The poor boy, no pun, looked like he had just been from another planet.

Every page had a "sigh" or an "oh no..." from Daniel.

A loud scoff came out of Gun, "Just choose already, brat. I'm paying for it anyways." his foot was impatiently tapping on the floor at this point.

Somehow, that made Daniel face more sad.

"Exactly... You're my hyung, not some wallet." Daniel sounded so sad at the thought of spending Gun's money. It was almost sweet.

Does Daniel think Gun is broke or something?!

It wasn't until much persuasion that Daniel finally ordered the food he wanted. Seriously, this guy is way too humble.

When the food came, it didn't even take Daniel a second to devour it all. Gun genuinely started to look around to see if anyone was looking. Daniel was utterly humiliating him.

This guy was eating like some mad dog, sauce everywhere, he looked like a crazy beggar who got a coin.

He would do this every single time! Gun quickly tossed a napkin to him, his face unamused.

Daniel put down his fish and grabbed the napkin, finally realising what a mess he was in.

"Um, sorry about my manners. I just can't get enough of the seafood." Daniel muttered under his breath in embarrassment as he wiped the sauce from his lips and the table.

Can't get enough... Yeah, Gun can fucking tell. Daniel's weird obsession with seafood was like a baby kitten trying out catnip for the first time, but the way he ate it was like a viscous, starving dog getting meat for once.

Gun didn't mean to notice this, but the way Daniel ate his food was cute. Yeah, he ate it like a weirdo, but his happy smile was just too much. Almost like a baby kitten.

Wait, no. Gun is definitely going crazy, Daniel doesn't act like a cat at all, he just likes seafood, and that's all.

2. clingy

Most cats are clingy in general. When cats are young, they'll grow clingy to those who protected them. That's the law.

So it's no surprise that Daniel will eventually grow attached to Gun. I mean, Daniel isn't the type to wrap his arms around Gun 24/7 or constantly beg to hang out with him.

But the boy was clingy in his own "discreet" way. Sometimes, Daniel would text him out of the blue, and when asked why, he would say, "I just thought of you".

Hah, thought of him. Does Daniel think of him so much that he needs to text him almost every hour?!

But Gun's not innocent either. He would often wait outside of Daniel's school to fetch him once his school day ended.

"It's to train him, " is what he would always say to everyone. But mostly to himself.

Gun and Daniel have "trained" so much that Gun is barely even with his own group any more.

—

"With that boy, I suppose?" DG simply flashed a glance at Goo, the boy being Daniel, who didn't have Gun beside him. "Ya think?" Crystal gave him a nudge with an eye roll.

Obviously, the three didn't mind if Gun went to pursue his man to hang out with his student. But at this point, he was like a faded memory.

Goo took a seat, his back instantly resting on the soft cushion. "You'd think they'd be together by now. But, nooo, Daniel is just his studentttt." His voice dragging out, clearly annoyed by Gun's denial.

"Maybe they're already dating, and Gun's so busy with their dates he doesn't have time to tell us?" The suggestion from Crystal seemed likely, but...

"As if. As soon as Daniel even accepts Gun, that stupid guy would immediately flex on us being the first actually to bag their crush." DG's voice had a hint of annoyance in it as if he had already experienced it.

—

Daniel was cute. Yeah, Gun finally admitted that to himself. But can you really blame him?

Even when he's sweaty, beaten up, or eating like a mess, his stupid doe eyes made Gun's heart flutter. As they hung out and trained more together, the cuteness was unbelievably obvious.

Last time, Gun would always ask him to train. But now, Daniel is the one constantly sending out invites.

"Are you free, hyung?"

"Do you want to train, hyung?"

The guy was already trained enough. Gun needed his rest days, too. "Then just decline him," is what DG would always say. But he can't bring himself to.

But he's happy he didn't, because Daniel is literally fast asleep while lying on top of him, his arms grabbing tightly onto Gun's shirt.

If he didn't know better, he would think that the boy was about to purr like a cat, too.

Gun can't remember how they got here, and I can't come up with a backstory for it either. But he's happy, he's so lucky that no one can see the stupid smile on his face or his eyes practically turning into hearts by now.

Gun is very delighted that Daniel is relentless about training.

3. fuck it

Fuck it. Who cares about the four motherfucking crews? Goo, DG, Crystal, Charles Choi. Screw them all.

So long as Gun can be with Daniel, no one else matters in his life. The thought of being with Daniel until he dies, waking up to him, oddly sweet dates.

It's his only dream.

So, of course, when Gun and Daniel are training again, his punches are slow. Too emotional. They're weak, pathetic, slow, and unlike before.

They weigh him down.

It doesn't take long for Daniel to notice. After all, the staggering difference in the winning streak is obvious.

"Hyung, are you okay? Tired?" He immediately drops his fist and comes closer to examine. The boy starts touching his face and body as if he's some kind of doctor.

His face was pressed up close to Gun. Was Daniel always this cute? The man's gentle nature, but a strong body and willpower.

It's no wonder Gun fell for him.

However, the silence from Gun made Daniel realise what he was doing. He retracted his hands so fast and quickly babbled out an apology.

"I'm so so so so sorry! I didn't touch you anywhere weirdly, right? I'm so so so so-"

"I'm okay, brat," Gun spoke out, almost too quick, almost flushed. Daniel's shocked, but relieved face was too much for him.

Fuck it.

Gun doesn't remember when, but he knew that his lips were pressed firmly on Daniel's lips. Soft and sweet. Wait, what?

Gun quickly pulled away, "I was just curious, no feelings attached, I-". Gun found his mouth shut by the other man.

His lips on his again, this time, Daniel's arms were wrapped around Gun's neck. Slowly, he found himself wrapping his arms around the boy.

Hah. Bless all.

—

Goo, DG, and Crystal were all sitting in the same room, separate seats, in silence. Not awkward, just well aware of each other's presence.

Unfortunately, that silence was ruined.

A loud kick opened the door, and there he was, Gun. A large smirk was on his face, and he seemed way more content than usual.

"How's single life like?"

"Fuck you."
