The spring of insects 1.
On a rather cold day in Konoha, most people were at home or taking refuge in buildings away from the biting cold that was affecting the poor unfortunates who remained outside. But to the surprise of many people now engrossed in the village library, a little spring had settled at a table, in the process of read books about medicine to move forward what was, for most adults who rarely went to the library, a disturbing sight, but for regulars, it was like seeing a leaf fall from a tree in Konoha.
Sakura was rereading a book Lady Tsunade had recommended to boost her medical knowledge, but honestly? Sakura probably had a better chance of finding information she didn't know from more advanced books, but Tsunade had insisted that a good doctor must work on their basics and had given a clear order to the Librarian. Sakura was not allowed to approach the medical books available to ninjas without a document written by Tsunade herself authorizing her, which did not help little Sakura who hoped to learn things faster and more interestingly because few people really recognized her, but Sakura was a little genius with a memory that surpassed most people.
Of course, many people ignored this fact because of the two prodigies she was teamed up with before all that happened. But it wasn't a problem that this "secret" remained between the people she cared about, and having such a memory wasn't really a gift because some events she preferred to forget seemed to love resurfacing when she wasn't revising.
Sakura had her nose buried in her book, sometimes tucking her pink hair behind her ears as she turned the pages rapidly. She only raised her head when she saw Shino. She stood up, giving a small smile when she saw him. He had his hands in his pockets and his usual round glasses with tinted lenses which, I must admit... suited him quite well.
Sakura: Shino, hi, how are you?
Shino : I came to get you. Your mother encouraged me to eat at your house today, and since you weren't home, Mebuki sent me to fetch you.
Sakura : Oh, I'm sorry Shino, I didn't pay attention to the time. Thank you for coming to pick me up.
The little petal got up from his chair and then came to tidy the table with Shino's help. The two youngsters quickly finished putting away the books before heading outside. As they walked through the streets of Konoha towards Sakura's apartment, Sakura couldn't help He rubbed her hands together, blowing into them to warm them in the cold breeze that seemed to penetrate her completely. Shino looked at her before tilting his head slightly towards her while looking at her.
Shino : Are you cold?
Sakura: Yes But it will be okay when we get home.
As she blew into her hands again to try and warm them, she was surprised to see Shino's outstretched hand. She smiled and placed her hand in his. Shino then shook Sakura's hand before putting it in his pocket and continuing to walk through Konoha as if nothing had happened.
It was pleasant to walk with him like that and Shino's big hands were warm And she had to admit it... Inside Sakura's stomach, she felt a strange sensation of warmth.
