Chapter Text
Every story of his has to begin with finding methods that will be used without hesitation to his own advantage. And this one is no different from the others.
He discovered one exploit after another. Until finally, the knowledge which was supposed to belong only to him and JamatoP, was on the verge of being exposed. He destroyed the places where the server's secrets were being revealed.
With this, a massive search for the remaining illegal items began. Regardless of breaking all conventions and laws, Spoke with Mapicc did everything with one goal in mind: to fix the world.
While messing around the farms, Ashswagg joined them in the quest. However, instead of slightly damaging these engineering creations, he completely destroyed them.
A flower farm ended up in ruins. And PlanetLord getting banned.
Everything was supposed to end at the end of light farm.
“The moment I give you exploits everything’s gone.”
Along with the sound of fireworks two new players landed on the top of the farm. They both were invisible and wore netherite armor. One, who stepped forward, had an emerald trim, while the other put on a diamond eye one. The second person, who stayed behind, most likely acted as a bodyguard of sorts, because he held a mace in his hand. Spoke was impressed ― that was the first time he ever saw such a weapon on the server.
“I see how it is,” Ashswagg chuckled, looking at the newcomers. “Very well, I will withdraw from this. It’s your win. For now, at least.”
Without any further explanation he equipped his elytra and flew away. Soon, the invisible players followed him.
Ash might have folded, but that did not change the fact that somebody innocent died from his actions. And in the long run ― from Spoke’s actions. He was the one responsible behind Planet’s death.
Therefore, the best course of action was to spy on Ashswagg. To discover, destroy and take everything he owned or planned. Maybe spending a hundred days inside his walls was not the healthiest idea, but hey, somebody had to make him pay.
“One day you are gonna look around and see you have fallen just right into my footsteps, Spoke.”
With the certainty that Ash could never rise again, Spoke left him without looking back. Or at least he thought so.
After all, he decided to create his empire using the stolen resources from his grand nemesis. A grand army, full of... random players that did help in taking on useless fights and, in the end, turned against him.
“You created an army that will kill you.”
The one who aided him was Leow0ok.
He was invited to join the Bounty Assassin Team, which was the largest faction of its kind on the server, led by Leo. Becoming a legitimate member required a lot of manipulation and cunning, not real, raw skill, but in the end: it worked.
Being a secret assassin was a perfect fit for him. After all, he had been cleverly escaping every trap set for him and staying inside human bases over the previous few months. Everything was going swimmingly until a small mishap. He burned down the base of a certain group of players.
BAT had no evidence against him, only vague suspicions. This did not stop them from obsessively following Spoke.
Eventually, a faction called the Law decided to hold an election for the server’s King. They backed up their own candidacy by capturing Wemmbu, one of the most dangerous players to ever live. BAT decided to join this virtuous cause.
Seeing Wemmbu on the platform in handcuffs, a thought occurred to him on how he could get rid of his own stalkers. Using the criminal, of course. With Mapicc, he helped him escape from the prison, but instead of getting the payment, he was ignored. At least Zam joined him.
He did not have time to come up with another plan when one day Mapicc left their shared base and disappeared. Spoke and Zam were led to the Farlands, where it turned out that Jamato had saved their friend.
“We can wipe them out in a single day with these exploits. Aren’t you trying to protect the server?”
“I’m protecting it from you.”
He attempted to kill Jamato to no avail. This whole situation made him remember that he could do something to get rid of BAT on his own. Exploits. But not without good, old manipulation. He had to convince his friends to return to the main server with him, after all.
There was something he had learned from the BAT’s data sets: there was one enemy considered as a much more dangerous player than both Wemmbu and FlameFrags. ClownPierce. As far as Spoke was concerned, ClownPierce had full control over the Nether, and therefore also all its resources. If the Law were to gather the nether resources from an unknown source, it surely would alarm Leo. Of course, a few other strings would have to be touched too, but the most important part of the whole operation could be easily done.
Spoke was not in the greatest relationship with Clown, but he knew another way on how to gain an unimaginable large amount of such supplies.
After returning, they convinced MinuteTech to work with them, which was not so hard to do. Surprising. Spoke remembered him from the one time he and his little army tried to overtake the End and the Guardian stood in their way. Months before he had been still trying to stay under invisibility potions and had been wearing a netherite chestplate with a diamond eye-trim. In that moment, however, he remained visible and changed his trims to fully netherite. He did not say where this change came from, and no one had time to press him further.
The first person from the BAT to join him was JumperWho. She was not a fan of the way Leo treated her spies, so she decided to leave and join Spoke.
They decided to split up into two teams: one would go with Spoke and break into prison once again ― apparently, Parrot was being held there, and he was the only good option to replace Lettuce ― and the other would go for resources. Well, the truth was, Spoke had an infinite amount of them, but he could not reveal all his cards that quickly.
There was no candidate in the prison. However, the whole escapade was not useless. Spoke pretended to find real riches in the Law's chests in one of the rooms. And they gained FlameFrags with Jaden ― a random person, but he was good with the mace, so Spoke did not complain.
Soon, they found Parrot as well. And with their combined forces, they were able to defeat the Law. A vote was held shortly afterward on what to do with the remaining faction leader ― the execution won.
During that time, Leo did not come to ask for forgiveness and to join them, but Spoke had stopped worrying about that just before the final battle. Rumors stated that BAT had fallen out with the Law.
This was soon confirmed when JumperWho arrived a few weeks later with the proposition that Spoke could return to BAT if he completed the initial missions again. She had apparently reconciled with Leo, but she intended to soon separate from him and start her own faction, only remaining in an alliance.
This was exactly what Spoke had been waiting for.
He knew exactly what ― or rather who ― he could use for his great comeback. Wemmbu came back to the main server and was looking for Flame for a rematch. After a few strings pulled here and there, he finally got what he wanted. Or almost wanted. He did not expect Wemmbu to be the one to emerge victorious.
He remained in hiding for a while. Finally, some time after rumors spread about Wemmbu's death, he decided to come out and claim responsibility for it.
However, he did not manage to arrive at the BAT’s base before a group of invisible players decided to hunt him down.
