Work Text:
The wind rustled his quills, as the tranquil scenery of blue and white shone before him. In the distance, there were birds to be heard, along with his friends. He loved his friends, he really did, but right here in this moment, it was peaceful, calm. The way he liked it best.
His chest rose, intaking a big breath of that fresh, salty beach air that he had come to call home. Even the sun pricking at his eyes wasn’t enough to bother him. He cupped his hand above his eyes. Pure white clouds, floating lazily above the shimmering stillness of the water, reflecting his current state of mind and off the surface of the ocean. Truly heaven on earth.
Lying back on the sand, his fur gently sinking into the fine particles of the soft ground, he closed his eyes, crossing his arms behind his head, the sound of tiny waves rolling against the shore lulling him into a narrow state between sleep and wakefulness. One that anyone would wish to stay in, forever.
He knew he would do anything to protect this peace.
