“How did you all get your names within JiangHu?” OuYang ZiZhen asked.
“Right! We also want to become famous heroes, Wei QianBei!” Lan JingYi exclaimed.
“Just like Han GuangJun, my JiuJiu, and Xiao ShuShu,” Jin Ling added.
Wei Wuxian sipped some wine and awkwardly laughed, “Do you guys really wanted to know?”
The juniors nodded. Wei Wuxian didn’t smile or frown. He calmly said, “I shouldn’t explain this to you kids but-“
“Stop calling us kids, Wei QianBei!”
“We are already adults!”
“I am also the sect leader of LanLing Jin Sect! I am no longer a kid too.”
Wei Wuxian looked at each of the juniors looking at him eagerly and finally gave in, “Just like you, A Ling. Because of Jin GuangYao’s downfall, you were forced to inherit the sect leader’s position and take responsibility. And no matter if it’s LianFangZun, YiLing LaoZu, Han GuangJun, SanDu ShengShou, or ChiFeng Zun, we were all forced by Wen Sect to the verge of death to fight for our lives, to fight for the future, to overthrow QiShan Wen Sect.
“I was force by being thrown into burial grounds, Han GuangJun was forced by the burning of Cloud Recesses, SanDu ShengShou was forced by the burning of Lotus Pier and the loss of his parents. ChiFeng Zun is the same, his father was killed by Wen RuoHan. LianFang Zun was also forced to go undercover in Wen Sect, despite the bad things he done recently before his death.”
Wei Wuxian took another slip of wine, “See, we all are youths that want to enjoy our lives back then, but we were all forced by war to mature and we in the end after surviving war and overthrowing QiShan Wen Sect, we became famous. We aren’t different from you. The only thing is different is the tragedies we once went through to give you all better lives.”
Lan WangJi who also sat at the table gave a curt nod, “The peaceful days now you have exists because we fought and sacrificed for it. We don’t want you to be famous, we just want you all to live the lives we never have the chance to live.”
The juniors had read the history of their past, but never personally survived through it. It’s was impossible to imagine how it was like to live in such a chaotic time. What Jin GuangYao did compared to the criminals they read in the history books, did alot less damage. So even after surviving the second siege of burial grounds, the juniors would never know, unless if unpredicted tragic future events happened in future to change their lives.
