What a Life.

Summary:

Yeo Taeju fell in love with a man he met in the streets.
Kim Euihyun fell for a strangfe man looking at him with amazed and stupid eyes.
It was for both the first time falling in love so they are trying their best to make it work correctly. The problem is that Taeju never felt the need to stop being self-centred with other than his family while Euihyun never learnt to love himself corectly even if his parents did taught him how to.
It's the story of two men divided by a sea of differences who fall in love with each other.

Notes:

It's my verry first time on trying to write something, let alone in english (┬┬﹏┬┬). To be honest, I'm not that good at it but there's a crual lack of LTIT fanfics so Imma write my own. I don't know what I want for it. I don't have that much ideas so I'll just write what I think would be good. I'll try my best and please, if there's anything you don't like about my fanfic in itself, just pass your way to another one. I'm always open to constructive comments about my writing style so don't hesitate. (my note starts getting long but I only want to show how sincere I am about LTIT.)
English is not my first language so fell free to correct me if there's any mistake.
ENJOY !

Chapter 1: First encounter

Chapter Text

One day, Yeo Taeju encountered a man.

He was the most angelic and ethereal man he had ever laid his eyes on. The world stopped turning and time froze as he gazed at him.

The man had such striking eyes, sculpted by the god of beauty himself. If angels ever fell to Earth, this would be what they would look like.

Nothing around him could distract Taeju from the man. Not only did he not notice Wonyoung calling from afar, but he also didn't  notice the man approaching.

"Are you alright? You've been staring into void for a while now," he said, his face looking concerned.

Up close, his face looked even more breathtaking than before.

"Oh my God... Wars have been fought for less than this beauty," Taeju thought.

A scent was beginning to waft through the air. Taeju didn't notice it at first, as he was so engrossed in watching the face. It smelled like flowers, but he couldn't identify it properly.

He started to answer the question he'd overheard earlier when he saw a worried man standing before him.

"Ah! Yes, I'm fine. There's nothing wrong, don't worry," he managed to say.

"Are you SURE?" he asked, and Taeju felt he had to double-check.

After all, why would a man he'd just met be asking him such a question?

He started touching himself, trying to find any spots where he might have hurt himself. After all, just a moment ago, he'd had a fight with Wonyoung, who'd ended up with him getting a pretty good punch to the guts.

The man's face began to show signs of annoyance. Taeju might look really stupid to him right now. He sighed and handed Taeju a tissue as he waved his hand around his nose.

"You're bleeding, sir. You've been like this for almost five minutes," he said, placing the tissue on Taeju's nose. Taeju didn't even notice. His world was far removed from what people might think.

"Is he even trying to stop the bleeding or making it flow even more?" he thought.

He quickly took the tissue from the man's hand and apologized. He shouldn't bother people like this. How old was Taeju to be bleeding over a simple, single sight? Talk about single, was he? If he was, Taeju wouldn't hesitate to make a move.

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice." He said, "I was too engrossed in watching you."

Taeju prayed to every deity he knew that he hadn't said it out loud. Otherwise, he'd be facing a lawsuit for harassment.

Taeju tried to clear his head. "What are you doing, Yeo Taeju? Trying to hook up with a stranger? Dude... you have a son!" he thought to himself, wanting to erase the thoughts he was having.

As he calmed down, an idea crossed his mind. "Is this man an omega? He doesn't seem like one. The first man I ever fell in love with isn't even the type to marry a man like me." He lamented before remembering something. He was a gangster. Nobody would willingly want a relationship with him anyway.

This was the second time Taeju had wanted to quit his job—the first time was when that Omega man he'd slept with one night brought in a child he didn't want to take care of, saying Taeju could do whatever he wanted with "it." At first, he didn't even know whether to just put it in an orphanage or take it home. The five little fingers wrapped around Taeju's decided the baby's fate.

He got the punch of his life the day he showed up at his parents' house with a baby. "So you finally managed to knot someone up! You bastard! Don't you know how to use a fucking condom?!" Yoo Jooin blurted out, as if he wasn't the reason Taeju had sex every time he was feeling fussy. He was the one who said he should try something like sex to calm down when he was stressed.

Taeju took the full force of the punch, trying his best to protect the baby's head. His father's punch wasn't painful at all, so he didn't dodge. The only reason he felt pain was all the words his father was saying out of disappointment.

Taehwa tried to stop him, saying he shouldn't do that since there was a baby he could have hurt. He sent Taeju to his old room to comfort the child, whose tears were already falling silently. "What a quiet baby." Taeju thought. "He hasn't cried once since I had him."

While trying to comfort the baby, he heard his parents arguing. He couldn't hear anything but didn't want to be honest. A few minutes later, he managed to get the baby back to sleep and took him to the living room where his parents were waiting, now calmer.

Jooin held out his arms so Taeju could place the baby in them. He didn't say anything but the years Taeju spent with him taught him all the signs he should know to live a peaceful life on Earth, breathing that precious air around him. Taeju gave him, and as soon as he did, he was ordered to kneel.

He didn't resist or hesitate for a second.

"Taeju, I did tell you to try sex. I also told you to protect yourself. Didn't I?" Jooin said in his passive-aggressive tone. His question wasn't really a question at all. It was his death sentence. If he didn't answer right now, he would hear his ancestors calling him. He nodded, looking down.

"How old are you, Hah?" Jooin asked.

"Twenty," Taeju replied. The shorter the answer is, the better.

"So you knew, Hah?... And yet, you had the audacity to bring a baby home, Hah? What am I going to do with you, Taeju?" With that tone of voice, it was actually a pretty good decision to bring the baby with him. Otherwise, Taeju would already be six feet under.

"Did YOU give birth to it?" he said to waiting a bit. When he received no answer, he continued, "I'm sure it wasn't you, so where is the one who birthed him?" he questioned.

Taeju looked down. And then he replied in a muffled voice, "He... just gave me the child and left, saying I could do whatever I wanted with the child." What kind of sharp words will he get now?

Unexpectidly, he got nothing. He just heard an exasperated sigh at a "Poor you, little thing. Your parents are so irresponsible."

That was direct blow Taeju's self-esteem.

Jooin didn't even bother to even talk to Taeju again as he was absorbed at looking the baby laying in his arms. He looked just like Taeju when he was a baby. A cute little baby.

Taehwa spoke because the silence in the space was killing them.

"How old is he? Is it even a boy or a girl? What's his name? Did you do all the documents needed to register the child as yours?" he said genuinely concerned. At least, one of his parents didn't just threathened him to death with a single stare.

Taeju enthusiasticly get up on his feet to take all he has about the child. Almost nothing. Just a birth certificate and some papers he got from the court of family affairs.

"He is three weeks now and ..., he's a boy. An Alpha" he started rolling his eyes here and there trying to remember all he knows. "He don't have a name yet as he is not registered yet. But I did all the necessary to start the procedures." he said sparks in the eyes like a disco ball.

"Luckily, the other father gave me the birth certificate so it was quite easy to bring the affair to a court. I did the DNA test too and it was approved. They gave me the court order so I can register him now." He stopped and hesitated for some time. "I ... just I wanted to present you before I do it. I also wanted to have a little bit of help for his name as I don't have a clue on how name him."

"Of course the DNA test was approved!" Jooin said annoyed "You have the same face!"

Taehwa looked at his husband and smiled before checking all the papers. That took him about five minutes. When he rose his head to look at Taeju, he has the impression that the son who was a baby just a while ago became a man. His last-born baby boy stoop up without an ounce of hesitation as he looked at the man.

Jooin has no choice but let it slide. Taeju showed enough determination and repentance by trying his best. "You piece of shit. At least, I don't need to punish you as life already did it." he said with an annoyed voice. "You better give him the life he deserve hah! Else i'll just whipe off your name from the family register" he said before returning his attention to his first grandchild.

He didn't show it but he was quite happy to see his family getting wider. Even if he didn't expect it to be Taeju first.

He looked at Taeju one more time and "Do you even have time for him? You have to go to uni and your job too." he reminded.

"I was planning to quit my job to have the maximum time with him as I can't stop my studies" he said with a sad look on his face.

Of course he would be sad because it's a job that he affectionate a lot. But he couldn't help but stop it so he could raise his son.

The two parents looked at their son before looking each other. Their eyes said it all before they told Taeju the idea they came with.

"We can take care of him, don't stop what you like. You will finish Uni in a few months anyway. Just stay her until then."

After that day, he did his all to get the birth registration form and the family relation certificate.

The baby finaly got a name : "Yeo Ajin" (雅珍). A- for elegant (雅) and -Jin for treasure (珍).

The day he presented his son to his family, he got so many side eye on just one minute. He remembered Yeo Wonyoung blended on the floor by laughter.

So much memories. Finaly, he didn't stop his job and was able to take care of his son.

Now, he was demanding if he should stop to get a chance with his new-found loved one.

Notes:

I'm so happy to finaly write that idea down. I wanted to write it so much but avery time, I thought about the differences between the country I live in and Korea (that basically means that I have to make researches to not just write shit with no sense)
Thank you for reading and I'll try my best to upload chapters the fastest possible. (I'm a student so I don't have that much of time.)
I'm thinking of how I would link them up --
1) Taeju would search out the wherabouts of the man he met and then do some stalking to finaly getting them friends and the story become a friends to lovers
2) Euihyun fells some interest about Taeju as he is talking about his son and by who knows how, they end up sleeping together and Euihyun get pregnant. It will be a stranger to lover.
If you have any idea, fell free.

THANK YOU !
