Work Text:

“Well it’s not like it’s anything fucking new,” Katsuki grumbled as he moved through his small apartment, away from the window, and towards his phone to call his boyfriend, Izuku, and warn him about the torrents of rain that were currently shaking the tree next to Katsuki’s building. Katsuki made it to his phone and lifted it off of the kitchen counter, where it had been sitting next to a heaping pile of all the crappy snacks his nerd loved.

He dialed the phone and lifted it to his ear, to tell his stupid(adorable) boyfriend, who he desperately wanted to see, that they would have to try to find another time that somehow fit into the cramped schedule of patrols they’d finally navigated successfully for today. Fucking rain.

Or rather, he was about to, before he heard a knock on the door. A very specific knock. Katsuki made for his door, growling, “Deku, I swear to all fuck if your stubborn ass actually walked in that shitstorm,” though he didn’t really get to finish his thought as he opened the door to indeed find Izuku on the other side, green curls soaking, dripping onto his also sopping Allmight t-shirt. Fucker didn’t even put a jacket on.

“Kacchan!” Izuku lit up, freckles and bright, round emerald eyes on full display, along with a smile brighter than the flash of lightning that could be seen in the distance of the hallway window. At least that’s what went through Katsuki’s mind as he grabbed his nerd by his sopping Allmight shirt and yanked him through the door. Katsuki scoffed as he frog marched Izuku to the bathroom, scolding as he went.

“Seriously Deku, why the fuck did you think that walking 2 miles in frigid rain without a jacket was a good idea?”

Izuku turned his head to look at Katsuki as they passed a hanging picture of the two of them as kids in the hall, “Well, going back would’ve taken too long, and I really wanted to see you!” He said this with puppy dog eyes on full display.

Katsuki grunted, scowl sharp and face warm as he opened the bathroom door and gestured for Izuku to get in there. “You can see me when you’re clean and warm, nerd.” Izuku laughed before getting in the room and turning around, confusion showing on his face as he spoke.

“But, Kacchan, I don’t have any clothes-,”

“Relax, Deku, you can take some of mine.”

Izuku’s expression shifted from confused to flustered as he nodded sheepishly and whispered a soft, “thank you.”

Katsuki’s face got redder still as he let out a small, “tch,” and closed the door to grab Izuku some clothes.

———————————————————————————

It was about 30 minutes later that Izuku came out of the shower, clean, with damp hair, and wrapped in one of Katsuki’s hoodies that hung loose over his smaller stature. Katsuki had been waiting on the couch for about 10 minutes, having grabbed all of the snacks that he’d gotten earlier, the Allmight blankets, pillows, and changed into pajamas himself. He looked up from his phone to see Izuku with a smile slowly spreading across his face, eyes bright. He smirked and opened his arms with a, “C’mere, nerd.” Izuku’s smile grew wider, if that was possible. He came up to the couch, setting himself down on the plush fabric, and curled into Katsuki under the blanket, Katsuki’s arms wrapping around him tightly. They stayed like that for a minute, simply enjoying each other's company, feeling each other's warmth to the soft backdrop of rain.

Izuku lifted his head to look at Katsuki, curls mused by Katsuki’s hand, eyes bright, yet soft in their emerald shade, a smile gracing his face. “Are you still mad I came over?”

Katsuki’s eyes narrowed and he lifted a hand ominously as he spoke, “Don’t think I’ve forgotten about that, Deku.” Izuku blinked, confused slightly, until Katsuki’s hand began to run back and forth across his side, and he squealed and giggled as his boyfriend tickled him.

“Kacchan!” Izuku yelped, and squirmed under Katsuki’s touch as tears of laughter ran down his cheeks. Once Katsuki slowed down, his face, and voice softened as he spoke again.

“Next time that happens, I’ll come to you, Izuku.”

Izuku looked up at Katsuki, face serious, “But then you’d be the one wet.”

Katsuki smirked again, “Better me than you, nerd.”

Izuku shook his head, “I’ll do it.”

Katsuki’s hand pushed slightly on Izuku’s shoulder as he insisted, “It’ll be me next time, Deku.”

“Me!” Izuku did the same.

“Me!” A shove.

“Me!” Another shove

“Fine!” A surrender, “Shit, Nerd, fine! It can you,” Katsuki folded with an exasperated shake of his head as Izuku settled himself down on Katsuki’s chest, smug in his victory. Katsuki chuckled as he reached for the remote, and turned on an Allmight movie they both liked.

Izuku nuzzled into Katsuki’s chest, enjoying the warmth and whispered softly, “Love you, Kacchan.”

Katsuki smiled, which was rare in most places with most people, but here? His love wrapped around him under warm blankets, with the rain soft in the background, surrounded by food, and accompanied by a movie they had loved since they were brats, it came easy.

“Love you too, Izuku.”
