Snape is a busy person. He is always doing something. Working for Dumbledore is tiring. He´s not even sure if he wants to continue as a Professor.
The only reason he is here for over an decade is because he wants to protect this brat and the other students. He may look heartless but he´d do everything to protect the people even if he denies it.
This year might be his worst year. He has to see Lupin. Well, maybe not the worst. Last year, he had Lockhard. If he´s being honest, he has the feeling that Dumbledore picks out his old classmates out of all people he had an interview with. UGHHhh whatever, its not like someone ever listens to him.
The year didnt even start and he doesnt want to go to class.
Besides the fact, he got the feeling that Harry wont behave. Of coourse he wont. Like father like son.

Harry´s year didnt start well. He got attacked by a domentor and now he gets mocked by Draco. His new DADA teacher is also a bit weird. But its not good to judge someone he barely knew.
At the hall the the first grader got to their houses.

Snape looks moodier than last year. Weird. But its snape. He´s always like that.

Potion class is sooooooo boring!!!!!!
Thank Merlin that Harry has Ron. He also has Hermine but she stays focused.
After three years he noticed that Snape always talk to students while standing directly in front of them.
Especially with him. Why always him.
Maybe he´ll ask Professor Lupin why Snape is so weird.
"Potter, you should focus on your potion instead of daydreaming."
Snape commented while writing something on the black board.
"Yes,Professor." i mumbled. How did Snape see that???????

"Oh, Hello,my boy. You need something?" Lupin asks with a genuine smile.
"i wanted to ask you something::"
"Sure,my boy, what do you need?"
"Its about professor Snape..." he paused.
"DId he give you detention for no reason again? I´m sure he does mean it well but i can talk with him-"
"No,no," Harry interupted, "It´s just... I dont know- I just wanted to know if he always acted that way. You know, strict and all that stuff and that he likes to have real eye contact with people he tend to dislike..."
That made Lupin think for a while. "Well, he likes to see the reactions of the people to see how they feel. About the strictness,i´d say that he was always a strict learner. He´d always have a book in his hands. " He explains, deeply in thought and trying to remember something.
"But why is he so close?" Harry asks,still not understanding Snape´s behavior.
"Harry, don´t you know? He´s like.. almost blind. Don´t tell me you didn´t know."
"What do you mean he´s blind??"
"Harry, have you never noticed how he reads??"
"Well,if i think about it..."
Snape snatches the sheet of Harry that was given from Ron. he held that sheet close,he could smell the sheet if he wanted to. He looks like he´s reading letter to letter, before he looks up. "You think you are funny,you two? Making absurd comments on this sheet while i am teaching this class? If i teach so bad as you two are writing it here, why not just... leave? No one is stopping you,is there?" He asks,eyeing them carefully. "N-no,sir" Ron replies.
"...well,yeah,he holds it close to his face... but there is no way he´s blind. How did this even happen??"
"It was your father" Lupin answers,not letting Harry react before he say, "Of course by accident. Your dad was some kind... of prankster you know? He made a surprise box. You know, you open it and poof ,confetti everywhere. But it wasn´t enough for your dad, so he put some flammable stuff. To be honest, i dont remember what he put inside. However, Snape was the one that opened it. He was pretty close to the box and it really damaged him..." This memory makes Lupin wince. "Yeah, your mom then got Snape to Madam Pomfrey and he healed his injury. His sight wasn´t able to be saved,though..." Lupin doesn´t tell him the whole truth. He didn´t want Harry to see his father as someone cruel. He doesn´t want him to know that his friends bullied Snape... He still feels guilty that he did not defend the Slytherin
"That´s... crazy! How did not my dad get in trouble??"
"He did, he had to accompany Snape everywhere and help him the whole time until he felt confident enough to do things alone. If i remember it took only two weeks or less. Snape is really something."
"That´s just messed up. Does that mean Professor Snape does not see anyobody?? How does he always know where anything and anybody is then??"
"I wonder that as well..." Lupin mumbles, before he looks at harry "I guess,he just really has good ears and knows this place by heart. I mean he spend almost three decades in Hogwarts. While he studied and as a teacher."
That surprises Harry, he never thought that Snape spent almost his whole time in this castle? "Does that mean that Professor Snape never left Hogwarts?"
"Oh, no,well... he left for 4 or 5 years," being a death eater, "if i remember correctly..."
"For real? What did he do in these years?"
"Uhh,I do not know,my boy." He lies. "He and i were not in good terms"
"Oh,okay,but thanks Professor! It really changes my view!!"
"It´s nothing, my boy. Come to me whenever you need help."
"Of course." He nods enthusiastically and leaves the classroom.
