Summary:

Tyler and Joey meet up with their classmate Jon in the hopes of scoring some weed right before seeing Joey's cousin beat up Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. It takes an odd turn but not a bad one necessarily.

Work Text:

Joey gave Tyler a smug grin as they walked up behind the gas station.

“You ready for tonight man?” Tyler asked, his whole body flooded with excitement.

“Absolutely! Tonight’s the night! My cousin’s finally gonna get one over on Stone Cold! He’s finally gonna whoop Steve Austin’s ass!”

“Are you guys talking about wrestling?” Asked a new voice coming from behind them.

The two boys turned around to see a babyfaced kid about their age with long blonde hair who wore a black hoodie and black jeans and generally looked like the kind of person who was trouble to hang out with.

“Uh, yeah, yeah, my cousin’s The Rock. We were just talking about watching Wrestlemania at my house tonight. Are you Jonny Ambrose?”

“That depends on who’s asking,” countered the blonde.

Tyler and Joey looked at each other in annoyance. Yep. This was the guy.

“We talked to your friend, Eddie, he said you could hook us up with some weed,” Joey explained.

“Maybe I can, maybe I can’t, how do I know you guys aren’t cops?”

Tyler groaned. “We literally go to school with you man! You’re in my freaking algebra class!”

“And you sit across from us at lunch! Just tell us how much and we’ll go home,” Joey insisted.

Jonny looked around suspiciously. “If you’re not cops, tell me so.”

“Are you serious man?!” Joey shouted. “I’m Joey Leakee, that’s Tyler Rollins, do you want our money or not?”

“Hey hey hey, the law says, if you’re cops, you’re legally required to tell me that you’re cops!”

“If we’re cops then we’d obviously be undercover in which case we don’t have to tell you shit, dumbass!” Tyler retorted.

Jonny’s shoulders slumped. “Oh shit, for real?”

“Look we’ve got $75 each, that’s $150 total, how much for that?” Joey asked.

“Oh for that much, I can get you guys a whole pound plus tax.”

The two boys gave each other impressed looks.

“Okay! A pound of weed for $150! You got it!” Joey agreed.

“Wait plus tax? Weed is illegal in Florida!"

“$140 for the actual weed, $8.40 for Uncle Jeb. That’s how business works.”

“But your business is illegal!”

“Hey, not paying the piper is how they got Capone.”

Joey nodded. “He’s right. That did happen.”

“That’s income tax you idio- Fine. Whatever. Here’s the money. Keep the change.”

“Yeah…”

Jonny made a face like he was thinking about something.

“What is it?” Joey asked.

“The weed is free if I can come over.”

Joey and Tyler exchanged concerned looks.

On the one hand, they could spend their money on pizza, soda, and chips (and maybe a couple packs of beer), on the other…

“You’re not gonna do anything weird are you?” Joey asked.

Jonny shook his head. “Best behavior! Promise!”

Tyler looked at Joey skeptically. Jonny was nice enough, albeit a bit odd, but he’d never done anything to actively hurt anyone, save for the time he got really drunk at a house party and went on and on about what a “sick guy” he was. That was… That was really weird.

Joey looked at Tyler who nodded at him. He was an oddball but free weed was free weed.

Joey looked back at Jonny. “Best behavior. Absolute best behavior. Say anything weird and we’re kicking you out.”

Jonny nodded. “Fair.”

“And we’re keeping the weed.”

“Hey! I got a business to run!”

“AND SO DO I YOU LITTLE SHITS! NOW GET OUT OF HERE!” Shouted a fourth voice.

“Old man Vincent!” Tyler gasped.

“Run!” Jonny yelped.

“OKAY! YOU’RE COMING OVER AFTER ALL!” Joey hollered, as the new trio ran off.

“SWEET! WHERE DO YOU LIVE!” Jonny hollered back.

“JUST FOLLOW US!” Tyler yelled.

Notes:

So I didn't want to use everyone's real names for this but I didn't want to use everyone's actual ring names either because "Roman Reigns" obviously doesn't sound like anyone's real name unlike "Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose" and "Tyler Black/Seth Rollins". So I decided to combine Joe Anoaʻi with Roman's original ring name Leakee from when he was first getting started in FCW, and combine Mox and Seth's ring names with Dean and Tyler Black. Hence Joey Leakee, Jonny Ambrose, and Tyler Rollins
