Chapter Text

Todoroki wakes up with a headache.

He didn’t even drink that much at the party and yet it’s enough to make him shove his face in his pillow. As he groans he hears his door open. Ugh, he really doesn’t want to deal with whoever dares to come into his room right now.

The mysterious person doesn’t say a word and Todoroki hears some muffled shuffling around his room. Suddenly, a huge weight just flings itself onto his back knocking all the wind out of him.

“Ow! What the fuck?!” He chokes out while struggling to get up.

“Hey, you watch your mouth.” A familiar gruff yet smug voice reaches his ear and Todoroki groans even louder.

“Bakugou, why are you like this? I can’t breathe, get off.” He turns his face to the side so he can breathe better but it seems that his tenacious blonde intruder has decided to play dead on his back. With such a goodnight last night, he just had to deal with this rude awakening.

Bakugou has the audacity to laugh and rolls over so their faces are squished together, “No, I don’t feel like it.”

Todoroki lets out an agitated sigh, “May I ask, why?”

“Because it’s passed noon and you wouldn’t wake up and you made me sleep on your dumb floor again.” Bakugou lists petulantly.

Todoroki rolls his eyes, “If my memory serves me right, you asked to come sleep in here with me by your own volition.”

Bakugou flicks his forehead, “Excuse me, I was under the influence. You have tarnished my innocence, and then you take advantage of me.”

The blonde rolls onto his back, sighing dramatically. This gives Todoroki this chance to push himself off and shove the blonde off of him. As Todoroki glares, Bakugou starts laughing his ass off. He’s making it difficult to stay annoyed with him.

Todoroki looks down and realizes he doesn’t have a shirt on. “Hey, what did you do to my shirt?”

“What do you mean ME?!” He tries to flatten all the hair on his head to match Todoroki’s, “If my memory serves me right, you took off your shirt by your own volition.”

Todoroki narrows his eyes, “I don’t remember asking for mockery.”

“Whatever. You said you got hot at like 2 AM then just took it off, happy?” Bakugou starts playing with his old Rubix cube, a gift from Natsuo.

“No.” He says flatly as he crawls his way into Bakugou’s space. “You’re in a good mood today, did something happen while I was asleep?” Bakugou starts tapping his index finger against the cube while his ears start to turn red, why did he get nervous all of the sudden?

“No,” he mutters quietly, “I guess, maybe I didn’t have a...terrible time with you at the party.” The blonde continues to look everywhere but Todoroki. He loves how easily flustered the usually confident blonde gets when it’s just the two of them. Todoroki ducks his head under Bakugou’s arms and turns his face towards him.

“I had a great time too, even without the lights and booze you still are as captivating as ever.” Todoroki says with a small smile.

Bakugou grumbles and pushes his face away, “Shut up, and get away from me.”

Todoroki chuckles softly and grabs the flustered blonde’s hand off of his face, “Mmm, I don’t feel like it.”

With that, Todoroki closes the distance between them and starts giving him quick little kisses on his perfect lips. Man, Todoroki loves this.

“Stop it, I’m hungry,” Bakugou complains against his lips.

“So get up then,” Todoroki says while nibbling softly on Bakugou’s lip, earning a quiet groan from the blonde. When Todoroki feels those strong hands slowly move up to his hair, he knows he got his way. They continue to lazily make out for a few more minutes until Bakugou’s stomach starts to rumble loudly.

“Alright jackass, I’m serious this time get off before I start taking out my hunger rage on you.” He swiftly pushes Todoroki off in one foul swoop and he can’t help but laugh a bit knowing that Bakugou could’ve done so earlier if he really wanted to leave.

They get up to stretch and Todoroki finds an old shirt to put on, “Are you going to make me something?”

“Why the hell would I do that?” Bakugou says while he finally cracks his back in the right place.

Todoroki pouts, “You didn’t make me anything yesterday, I had to starve for hours and I was reduced to restaurant food. I was in agony.”

Bakugou rolls his eyes, Todoroki’s surprised his eyes didn’t roll back into his skull. “You’re such a baby, you can barely fend for yourself huh? How does your sister put up with you?”

“By keeping me fed like the strong growing boy I am.”

Bakugou slaps his hand over his face to try and stop his laughter, “You’re so annoying.”

He then swiftly opens the door and walks toward the elevator, with Todoroki only two steps behind. When they get into the elevator, Todoroki leans his head on Bakugou’s shoulder.

The blonde turns his head slightly to look at him skeptically, “Uh, what are you doing?”

Todoroki shrugs his shoulders, “I don’t know.”

He doesn’t know why, but ever since he realized he’s starting to fall for Bakugou, he’s had this urge to just always be touching him. He wants to be with him all the time and he wants to show people that Bakugou is his. It’s been a weird feeling to come about, but he’s grateful when Bakugou doesn’t push him away.

When they get to the ground floor, Bakugou starts walking and Todoroki feels a little disappointed that he can’t cling onto him until later. Well, if he asked to officially be his boyfriend he could. How is he going to plan that though? They’ve already done a lot of things that couples tend to do, so how does he make them progress when they’ve skipped a bunch of steps? Maybe it’s time to talk to Sero and Midoriya.

Uraraka and Iida bid them a good morning as Bakugou strays off into the kitchen. When he sits down, he clears his throat. “Good morning.”

As Iida was about to respond, Ashido comes in from behind him and screams, “Good morning my prince!” Everyone laughs while Todoroki rolls his eyes, he still doesn’t get why all the girls call him that.

“Glad you’re finally up!” Ashido speaks up again, bringing him out of his thoughts, “Last night was soo fun, I’m so glad you got to hang out with us!”

Todoroki smiles a bit, “Me too, we’ll have to do it again some time.”

“Sooner than you think my colorful friend,” Uraraka chimes in, “And we’ll actually get time to hang out together without as big of a crowd around.”

Iida lets out a loud ‘ahem!’ and both girls roll their eyes. “And it will be school appropriate, God Iida we’re not gonna drink in the dorms!” Uraraka snaps.

“And even if we were you wouldn’t be invited!” Ashido adds on as both girls put their hands on their hips.

His tall friend sighs, “Since this get-together won’t be as reckless, I'm going to pretend I didn’t hear that as long as all of you follow the rules.”

“Get together?” Todoroki asks.

“Oh yeah! Tonight we’re having just a 1-A only hangout in the common room, just to chill out from all the craziness last night.” Uraraka explains excitedly.

Ashido claps her hands, “It’s gonna be so cute! We’re gonna have a Smash tournament and we’re gonna play spin the bottle!”

Todoroki tilts his head, “Do people actually play that game?”

“If you would come down from your room with us more, you would know it’s a bit of a fun little tradition we do. It’s never awkward and it helps people gain confidence to actually confess, which is always juicy.” Uraraka says before taking a sip of her apple juice.

Hm, confidence they say?

“What time will it start?” He asks while sitting on one of the barstools next to Iida.

Iida pulls out his phone to look at his calendar app, “We have told everyone to come down at around seven o’clock sharp, but knowing a lot of these folks for as long as we have, a lot of them will probably be out at around seven forty five.”

“Okay, we’ll be there.”

“Who’s this we? Where are you going?” Bakugou suddenly comes back with two plates of curry for their lunch.

Todoroki breaks his chopsticks before he speaks, “There will be a get together tonight around seven thirty, I was telling them that we’ll be joining.”

Bakugou groans while taking the seat next to Todoroki, “Didn’t we just go to one? I’m not about to get all sweaty in a nice shirt again, who do I look like?”

“Oh come on Blasty, this one’s gonna be chill and it’s just gonna be our class, lighten up.” Ashido comments while trying to steal a piece of his chicken before he smacks her hands away.

Todoroki swallows the food in his mouth, “Like Ashido said–Wow, this is delicious Bakugou. Anyway, like she said, it's going to be smaller and I think it would be nice of us to participate for once.”

Bakugou turns his face to his food as he starts roughly chomping it. Todoroki can vaguely see the pink flush on his ears because of the compliment. He’s so cute.

Bakugou gives him a side eye, silently asking if Todoroki really wants him to go to this thing. Todoroki makes sure to turn his face a bit so the others don’t see, so he can give the blonde a warm smile. “I would appreciate it if you could come with me, it sounds fun.”

Bakugou sighs through his nose and swallows a bite, “Fine, I’ll go but if it’s lame I’m going to bed.”

Ashido and Uraraka both squeal in excitement and start telling Bakugou all the party activities. The blonde gets into a small argument with Uraraka when he calls them lame. She says something along the lines of only being upset because he’ll lose, so now the blonde is all into it and people are placing bets.

Todoroki tries his best to conceal his laughter at Bakugou’s quips but he can’t stop himself from staring. He hopes tonight will be fun as well, and maybe he’ll get a chance to talk to Sero too, just to at least think of what to say. He wants this to go right, he’s not going to be afraid this time. Bakugou has taught him to take on the world head first and to not let his fears guide him. He’s ready to put those skills to use on his most important mission yet.

~~~
The night has been sort of a blur, but the fun kind not the boring kind. Todoroki can’t tell how much time has passed through events.
Sero ended up winning the Smash tournament on a tie breaker knockout against Bakugou, who took the loss elegantly by throwing the controller on the ground. Bakugou still got some money by coming in second but he was still upset. That’s when Todoroki decided to pull him to the side to kiss that pout off his face, which worked like a charm thank you very much.
A bit after that, everyone got some snacks and decided to play a class game of Old Maid. Uraraka absolutely crushed everyone at it, to the point where after her fourth win she decided just to watch because ‘it’s not fair I’m so good at it.’ She was met with boos and a couple pillows thrown at her, which she gracefully dodged as she floated to the ceiling. Todoroki surprisingly won a round and Yaoyarozu gave him some candy, definitely the highlight of the night.
Once everyone grew tired of the game, Ashido declared that she was going to look for a bottle to use for the main event, taking all the girls plus Bakugou with her. When he angrily complained why the hell he was being dragged into this, she told him, “Because the faster we find this, the faster you can go to bed.” With a grunt, he went off to search.
Now with him finally gone, Todoroki thinks it’s the perfect time to talk to Sero about what to do. He walks over to the couch where his tall friend is sitting, packing up his console. Kaminari and Kirishima have seemed to disappear somewhere which actually works out in Todoroki’s favor.
“Hey Sero, may I speak to you for a bit?” Todoroki asks quietly.
Sero turns around to see who’s speaking and when they meet eyes his face lights up, “Oh hi Roki, of course! I haven’t seen you this whole time, pop a squat my friend.”
Sero scoots over so he can have some space to sit. The reality of what Todoroki wants to do tonight is starting to set in and he takes a deep breath to get his thoughts together. Maybe he should start slow? Should he mention that their thing has been going on for a couple months? Should he say how it started? Should he-
“Yo Roki, you alright man?” Sero stops wrapping cords to raise a concerned eyebrow at him.
Todoroki stares at the ground silently, he feels Sero shift to look at him better. “Hey you’re starting to freak me out, whatever this is you can tell me anythi-”
“I think I’m in love with Bakugou.”
...Well, that was a little more blunt than expected.
They’re both quiet for a moment, and Todoroki feels like he can’t breathe. As he’s about to open his mouth to explain himself, he hears Sero let out a surprised laugh. “I knew it.”
Todoroki’s eyes widen and he quickly looks back at Sero, “What do you mean you knew? How?”
Sero puts a hand on his shoulder, “Dude I notice everything. I’ve noticed the way you look at Bakugou when he’s not looking for the past month. My hypothesis is that whatever you guys are has been going on for a bit longer than that, am I right?”
Todoroki feels his jaw go slack so he snaps his mouth shut, “Ha, I knew it, you wanna know how?”
He nods, not being able to form words anymore. Sero pulls him close so he can whisper in his ear, “Because I’ve seen the way he looks at you for even longer.”
When they lean back, Todoroki feels his face start to blush as Sero continues to wrap his console up like he didn’t just drop a bombshell on Todoroki’s heart.
“Don’t look at me like that Roki, you never notice these kinds of things so don’t get all in your head about it. So, I’m guessing you want to be something more?” Sero looks at him again with understanding eyes.
“Y-Yes,” Todoroki mutters, why does it feel like all of his words are stuck in his throat?
Sero flashes his famous grin at him, “Can I be honest with you? I really think you have nothing to worry about. You should just say it, fast and to the point as always. It’s in your nature and it’s one of the best things about you. I know you don’t think you’re the smartest when it comes to dealing with feelings but you can’t deny that there’s something in his eyes that sparkles when he’s with you.”
Todoroki thinks back to this morning and all the way back to the first time they were in his dorm room together and the way Bakugou pierced his soul just with his beautiful irises.
“Seems like you do.” Sero’s voice brings him back to reality with a jump and he realizes that he’s smiling again. Since when did Bakugou have the power to make him feel so light?
Todoroki lets out a shaky breath and quirks the corner of his lip slightly, “Yeah, I guess I do.”
Sero fist pumps the air and pulls Todoroki in for a hug. As he’s hyping him up, Uraraka storms back in announcing, “We got a bottle bitches!! Let’s play!”
Everyone starts cheering and starts to move some furniture to form a circle. Todoroki feels kind of nervous but kind of giddy at the same time to play, he wonders if he’ll get to see something exciting unfold.
~
Things started off fairly normal, it was actually pretty fun.
When Ojiro spun the bottle it landed on Hagakure and she excitedly yelled, “Finally!” He started blushing like crazy and when they finally kissed everyone cheered. Tsuyu ended up sitting next to Todoroki and she filled him in on Oijiro’s apparent longtime crush on the invisible girl. Good for them, good for them.
Todoorki’s pleasantly surprised when he realizes things really aren’t that awkward, he guesses it makes sense given their history as a class. He feels a flash of sadness bloom in his chest when he thinks about how much he’s going to miss living with everyone. He decides those are thoughts when he’s alone in the dark so he decides to ignore it for now.
When it was Ashido’s turn it landed on Uraraka, who promptly squealed and made grabby arms towards the pink girl. When they kissed everyone laughed and cheered, their friendship is very cute to witness.
The only time there was tension was when Jirou went and the bottle landed on Yaoyarozu, they both turned as red as Kirishima’s hair. The taller girl seemed to think Jirou didn’t want to and kept saying that if she didn’t want to there would be no hard feelings. Jirou smiled timidly and twirled her earphone jacks, “I’m blushing for quite the opposite reason Yao-Momo.”
The usually put together girl let out a surprised squeal and Todoroki laughs a bit seeing his friend get caught off guard. Their kiss was short and sweet and even Todoroki is cheering for them. The past five times they’ve had tea all she’s talked about is how much she adores Jirou.
When they break apart everyone claps for them again and Jirou looks over to Bakugou, who hasn’t really cared about anything going on until now. He raises his glass of soda and smirks at Jirou, it seems that the blonde was in a similar position as Todoroki.
At around ten o’clock around half the class has gone which means almost everyone has at least kissed someone. Excluding Mineta who Sero taped to the wall. Aoyama ended up landing on him and they gave each a kiss on the cheek. The sparkling boy seemed a bit nervous at first, but after the quick peck he was back to his normal self boasting how he’s the only one who can say he’s kissed the prince of UA. Todoroki laughs, oh if only he knew.
Kirishima is one of the last ones to go, mostly everyone has gone and it’s almost the end of the night. Kirishima is sweating bullets and looks over to Kaminari, who motions his hands to tell him to take a deep breath. Todoroki can’t understand why he seems so wound up until he sees that the redhead used a funny looking technique to spin the bottle.
As the bottle starts spinning slower and slower, Todoroki has this tight feeling in his gut like something bad is going to happen. Then the bottle stops, and lands on the person right across from him in the circle.
...An apathetic Bakugou.
Midoriya gasps and clings onto Iida in suspense. That was the only thing that caught the blonde’s attention. He quirks out an uncaring eyebrow and mutters a quiet ‘oh’. Todoroki feels relieved that Bakugou doesn’t really give a shit about playing and he’s just following instructions...but dammit the fact that it’s Kirishima for some reason makes Todoroki feel tense. He remembers a conversation last year with Midoriya, when he mentioned that he suspects that the redhead has a crush on Bakugou, but of course back then he didn’t care at all. Now it seems to be biting him in the butt.
He’s never had a problem with Kirishima, they just hung out together and he was a delight. Todoroki has immense respect for Kirishima for tons of reasons, so much so that he actually enjoys becoming better friends with him as of late.
...But the thought of them kissing right now is just sending a bunch of alarms in his head that he doesn’t know how to deal with. He opts to just fist his pants so tight that his knuckles turn white. He thinks he hears Tsuyu ask him if he’s alright but he’s too focused on the scene about to play in front of him.
Bakugou scoots towards the center and snaps his fingers in front of Kirishima’s face, “Oi, earth to Shitty Hair. We doing this or what? I’m the last one that hasn’t done anything and I’m tired as shit.”
Kirishima shakes his head to bring him back to reality, “O-Oh yeah of course! Sorry bro I just uh, wasn’t expecting this.” The redhead laughs stiffly and rubs the back of his neck.
Bakugou rolls his eyes, “Whatever Hair for Brains, just don’t bite me.”
The blonde lets out a yawn before sitting up and leaning towards Kirishima. Todoroki sees Kirishima swallow as he tilts his head. Bakugou quickly closes the distance while keeping his hands to the ground. Kirishima makes a surprised noise then flutters his eyes closed. When Bakugou tries to pull back, the redhead grabs his face to pull him into another kiss. The action made Bakugou’s eyes shoot open and starts to blush.
Todoroki barely hears the cheers and claps as he sees Bakugou look at his best friend with wide eyes and bite his lip. Kirishima gives him a smirk before he moves back to his seat, “Lucky I didn’t bite you, this time.” He says smugly with a wink.
Todoroki sees red and it’s not because of the guy’s hair.
Bakugou gets up swiftly and grabs his drink.
“Hey where are you going?” Uraraka asks as she comes back with her new drink.
“To bed Round Cheeks, what does it look like?” The blonde throws away his empty cup.
Uraraka groans, “Oh come on, the night is still young Bakugou!”
“Exactly my problem Short Stuff,” Once the elevator dings everyone yells ‘goodnight Bakugou!’ and he gives an uncaring wave. Right before the doors closed he looks at Todoroki but his eyes seem...distant.
Well shit.
How fast the night changes, now Todoroki wants to punch something. Midoriya seems to sense the energy and tells everyone they should watch a movie to fill the silence in the room. Kaminari and Iida start loudly debating over movie choices, Iida says that it’s too late to watch a scary movie and that it will disturb their slumber when they all know that he’s just a little scaredy-cat. When everyone starts to move the furniture back, Midoriya sneaks up to Todoroki’s side.
“You should just talk to him,” his freckled friend states while looking at him with his empathetic eyes.
Todoroki shifts his feet, “Talk to who?”
Midoriya bumps his shoulder, “Sero’s not the only one who watches things, you should just go. No one’s gonna notice if you leave right now, and I know Kacchan’s gonna go to sleep soon so I would move fast.”
Todoroki groans and pulls his hair, “You’re too nosy for your own good Midoriya.”
“Hey give me some credit, as my mom would say, ‘it’s out of love’.” Midoriya says with a laugh.
Todoroki smiles, thinking about how lucky he is to have him in his life, “Thank you.”
Midoriya waves his hands in front of him, “No, no, no it was nothing! Anyways hurry up, you know how he gets when we interrupt his beauty sleep.”
Todoroki nods and rushes to the elevator, Midoriya is right. It’s not like seeing that changed everything with them, if anything it made him want to be official even more. He doesn’t like sharing on a good day and there’s no way he’s going to ever let his beautiful, yet vulgar, partner in crime get away. At least, he hopes so, after tonight.
When he gets to Bakugou’s floor, he borderline runs down the hall. He can’t wait to see the look on his face. Will his eyes sparkle again? Will he try to hide his smile? Is he going to make some stupidly smug joke? Todoroki can’t wait just to hold him close-
“I need to tell you something, it’s important.”
Is that–? No, he must be hearing things. There’s no way he hears Kirishima talking right outside of Bakugou’s door. And there’s no way he hides behind the corner to get a better look at what’s happening. And there’s especially no way he sees a very tired looking Bakugou wearing some very cute reading glasses.
Bakugou takes off his glasses to rub his eyes, “Make it quick then, I have very little patience, even for you right now.”
Kirishima takes a deep breath and clenches his fists to keep them from shaking. There’s no way he’s going to say what Todoroki thinks he is, he feels his heart tighten in his chest.
Kirishma’s eyes burn with determination, “Bakugou-- Katsuki. We’ve been friends ever since first year and our relationship means so much to me, I don't know about you but I feel like we’ve always had some sort of connection.”
Bakugou tilts his head and narrows his eyes in concern, Todoroki feels his body shaking.
Kirishima continues, “You are one of my biggest inspirations and you’ve helped me gain the confidence I have in myself today, I guess...what I’m getting at-- What I’m trying to say is-”
“Oh my God can you spit it out,” Bakugou tries to interrupt him when Kirishima suddenly kisses him passionately. The blonde doesn’t move, his eyes have gone so bugged out and Todoroki didn’t even know he could do that.
Kirishima parts from his lips with a loud smacking noise that seems suffocating in this quiet hall. The redhead only moves about three inches from his face while cupping it gently, “I am so ridiculously in love with you and I want you to be with me.”
Kirishima goes in for another kiss and Todoroki can’t believe what he’s watching.
Bakugou stands frozen for another long moment until the reality of the situation finally hits him. The blonde blinks about three times before he pulls Kirishima by the shirt signaling him to stop. Kirishima takes a small step back, still cupping Bakugou’s face.
The stunned boy slowly reaches for his hand and guides down from his face, “Um...Well I wasn’t expecting that.”
Kirishima laughs while squeezing his hand, “You don’t have to give me an answer yet, I just couldn’t get enough of you tonight.”
With some new found confidence, Kirishima rubs small circles on Bakugou’s wrist. The blonde is an easy blusher, so Todoroki doesn’t know if he’s embarrassed, actually enjoyed it, or both. Only one of those possibilities Todoroki could live with comfortably.
Bakugou shifts his eyes to the ground and clears his throat, “Uh, I don’t know what to say…C-Can we talk about this tomorrow?”
Todoroki feels like he got punched in the stomach that Bakugou hasn’t just rejected him already. Does he...not want to?
Kirishima smiles and brings Bakugou’s hand up to his mouth to kiss it softly, “Of course, you can take as long as you need. Sweet dreams Bakugou.”
With that, the redhead skips into his room next door and shuts it gently. When Todoroki sees Bakugou look at the spot on his hand where it has just been kissed, he feels stinging behind his eyes and hurries back to the elevator.
He’s angry, furious even. When the hell did Kirishima get so damn confident when he hasn’t said anything in years? Who does he think he is? And what the fuck was Bakugou doing just allowing this to happen?
He’s also sad, a very specific sadness he’s never experienced before. There’s a loud voice in his head screaming that Bakugou will actually choose Kirishima because he actually understands his emotions better and he’s not a coward, and that Bakugou is probably better off with someone as bright as Kirishima.
When Todoroki stomps into his room, he throws one of his pillows at the door and screams into the other one. He hates this, he doesn’t know what to do. Midoriya and Sero’s voices pop into his head saying ‘just talk to him’, and he knows that’s the logical thing to do right now, but currently he’s feeling very irrational right now.
Just as he’s about to throw another pillow, he hears a quiet knock at his door.
Still fuming, Todoroki opens the door so fast he thought it might fall off the hinges. As he’s about to say something extremely disrespectful, when he sees who’s at his door the words die in his mouth.
It’s Bakugou, and he looks very distraught.
“What do you want?” Todoroki asks coldly, even if he’s concerned he’s still so frustrated at everything.
“...I was going to see if you were still with the losers downstairs, but I saw that your light was on.” The blonde says while doing that tapping thing with his foot when he gets nervous.
Todoroki lets out an agitated sigh, “Aren’t you observant.”
Bakugou doesn’t seem to pick up on his harsh tone as he looks at the poster on Todoroki’s wall, “Heh, right. Anyway, something kind of happened and I just...don’t know what to do about it and I don’t really know how to talk about it yet.”
“So if you’re not here to talk, why bother coming?” Todoroki tightens his grip on the door.
He was expecting a lot of things, but he wasn’t expecting Bakugou to step forward and bury his face in his shoulder again. When they’re this close, Todoroki feels that the blonde is trembling a little.
“I don’t really want to think right now, because whatever I say will end up changing a lot of things for me and...maybe I’m a bit unprepared for that.” Bakugou mutters into his shirt.
They both know that means he’s afraid. As much as Todoroki wants to just pull him in and take away all of his worries, the voice in his head can’t get past the implications of that statement.
Whatever I say, does that mean he is actually considering Kirishima’s request? Is he actually thinking about leaving him behind?
Todoroki feels a sharp pain in his chest and abruptly pushes Bakugou away from him. The usually fearless blonde looks like he just got slapped in the face as he looks up at him with hurt eyes. “Hey, why did you-?”
“Spare me Bakugou.” Todoroki curtly interrupts him.
Something in Bakugou’s eyes turns sad and he suddenly feels a pang of self loathing knowing he was the cause of that. “Spare you? What are you talking about? If you want to know that fucking bad I guess I can try to tell you, I don’t get what I did to deserve that though.”
Todoroki stares at the ground intensely, he can’t control all these feelings any more. “I mean get over yourself Bakugou. You really had the nerve to ask me if I wasn’t messing with you the first night you kissed me when I was just your little toy the whole time. Was I a fun experiment? Did you get what you wanted?”
“Wha-What?” Todoroki hates how broken the boy sounds but he can’t stop himself saying the words that have been plaguing his thoughts. He wants Bakugou to hurt, just as much as he is right now.
“I think you know exactly what I mean, I guess I was just some little side quest so you could conquer your main event. Well bravo, you sure fooled me, are you satisfied? You’re a twisted little genius, I'll give you that.” He didn’t mean that, he just can’t stop.
“I hope you and Mister Manly have just a wonderful fucking life together with his dumb crocs and his weird need to just always tell you how amazing you are.” He’s going too far, he can feel it.
“I hope he’ll react okay when he realizes that all you do is push away all the good things in your life and act like you’re the victim. Maybe you haven’t really changed at all.” Fuck, that even hurt him to say that.
When he finally looks back up to Bakugou he gasps and if his heart wasn’t in shambles before, he doesn’t even know where to begin to put all the pieces together. Bakugou’s fists are clenched tightly to his sides as his body starts shaking violently as he stares at Todoroki with the most venomous stare he’s ever seen etched onto his face. But that’s not the worst part.
The worst part is that he’s trying so hard to fight the thick unshed tears from his eyes so much that his face has tinted red. His eyes are so glossy that Todoroki can see his upside down reflection almost perfectly.
Todoroki’s mouth is agape and he starts to panic, he didn’t mean to take it this far, “Bakugou--”
Don’t.” Bakugou cuts him off  in the most hateful tone Todoroki has ever heard.
Todoroki takes a shaky breath and tries again, “I--”
Fuck. You.” Bakugou spits out the words like magma and he slams Todoroki’s door in his own face. He feels like the wind has been knocked out of him, but not in the light jovial way it had this morning.
Fuck. Fuuuuck.
Todoroki slumps against his door and tugs his hair roughly. He hears himself sniffle in the quiet of his lonely room, “What the hell did I just do?”
For the first time in a very, very long time, Todoroki cries.
