Chapter 1: The cottage in the forest

Chapter Text

Rain was pouring outside, the wind blowing hard. In the middle of it all, was Jude. She was completely soaked and her purple hair was all over the place. Jude hated it. And to make it even worse, it was all Tai's fault.

She should've known better to not make a bet with Tai. Yet, here she was. On her way to some nightstore to get Tai her snacks.

Jude had no clue how long she had been walking. What she did know though was that this fuckass place had barely any buildings or places, to shield herself from the rain. Trees, trees and more trees at her left and a road with no one driving on it to the right.

Cursing Tai under her breath, Jude decided to just make a run for it. She ran as fast as she could, looking left and right. After a bit, Jude could see the outlines of something resembling a house in between the trees. It being the only way to shield herself, she went with it.

The ground was muddy, Jude’s boots completely getting covered. The sound of squelching could be heard through the forest. Other than that and the rain, silence filled the forest. The house turned out to be a small cottage. The walls were made of stone with vines coming down from the top. Bushes with pink and blue hydrangeas were lined at each side of a small, old looking, wooden door. The path leading to the door was made of stone with moss peaking out. The place looked deserted, yet well kept. It was confusing, to say the least.

Jude ran down the pathway, knocking on the door. Better be safe than sorry, she thought. When no-one opened she tried to see if the door itself was open. Lucky for her, it was. She quickly stepped in the cottage, glad to be finally safe from the rain and-

Oh

The inner walls of the cottage were painted pink with light-colored flowers. Amidst the walls was an old fashioned couch with lying on it a girl so beautiful, so angelic. Jude was mesmerized.

Long, blonde hair flowing down her sides. A small piece of hair tied into a bright red ribbon. Her skin was on the pale side. She was wearing what seemed to be a light pink dress going down till just below her knees. The sleeves were puffy and short. The girl looked so ethereal while sleeping, it made Jude almost jealous. This was not what Jude expected. She felt a bit.. Awkward? She wasn't really sure.

And then.. Then the angel's eyes opened, slowly blinking awake. Jude immediately noticed how green they were. A light, emerald like green. It didn't take long for the green to lock into Jude's pinkish eyes.

“... Uh, hi”, Jude murmured awkwardly. Invading someone's home is one thing, being a loser lesbian is a whole other thing.

Silence took over and before Jude could mutter another word out, the girl sat up straight in such quicksilver motion, startling Jude.

“you- you can see me?”
