The item in Ditto's hand was... strange.
Some items Ditto remembered from long ago—the wet box for playtime, the wall decoration that mimicked its every move, the cube with the rotating circle somehow powered by its trainer's clothing, the bin that made for a surprisingly fragrant bed, and… oh! The device that played music after inserting Ditto's favorite frisbee! Ditto really loved that one.
Many others, however, were a mystery. This one was square, shiny, gold... Unlike other materials, it had an appealing luminescent white line near the bottom. Ditto immediately wanted to possess it in great quantities. There was one house left to build after all.
Eyeing the shiny block excitedly, Ditto ran back to its home to craft many piles of it. It arranged the blocks in a square with a nice blue roof and a door, then added some vines and had its friends help it build a nice little pond and a mill.
A perfect match!
It ran to Tangrowth and asked them to follow.
"Ditto, this house is perfect!" Tangrowth said when the house first came into view. "It reminds me of all my favorite human treasures." They fondly touched the disk on their head before waddling around to admire the golden walls and appealing white line. "How strange, though, I've never seen this material before…"
They took a few steps closer and suddenly all the vines on their head stood on end.
"Ah!" Tangrowth's arms went up to pat the vines but it seemed they would not come down. "I'm all tingly!"
Curious, Ditto reached out. A powerful zap immediately coursed through its body, reverting it to its small, gooey form.
Tangrowth stared down at Ditto for a moment, then laughed.
"My dear Ditto... it seems you've made my house out of electricity!"
