Chapter Text
Fischer, as he typically would, had been working non-stop in his lab for the past few days. He had lost count of how long he’d been working for, but he didn’t care. Whatever it took to complete his goal, he’d accomplish it soon enough. Hell, he’d throw himself off of a cliff just to fulfill it, he’d do anything.
Sylvestre came in without notice, not even a knock. Fischer didn’t even bother looking over his shoulder, he didn’t have any time to waste. “Ack— could you knock next time? You startled me.” Sylvestre really only came in to check in on Fischer, he hadn’t come out of his lab in days.
“Fischer, mon cher, you haven’t come out of here in days!” Fischer only ignored Sylvestre’s comment, though. He was fine like this, it was nothing he couldn’t handle. Fischer has gone longer without sleep, it wasn’t that big of a deal to him. If he was still up and going, he’d continue to work. He’d stop when he needed to.
“You aren’t ignoring me, are you?” God, could he just go away already? I don’t need his help, if anything he’s just a roadblock in my plans. I never needed Sylvestre, he just happened to come along at some point. Sometimes I just wish he was…
“FISCHER! This simply won’t do, you’re stopping now!” Even without looking over, Fischer could visibly imagine Sylvestre’s expression just by the clicky-ness of his heels. He didn’t really know how to explain it, the harshness of his heels just made it more obvious on what mood he was in.
Fischer could only complete one last task before getting picked up by Sylvestre. He forgot how strong Sylvestre really was, so being lifted over Sylvestre’s shoulder was the last thing Fischer had expected. “ACK!! LET ME DOWN YOU CRETIN!!” Fischer exclaimed, but it was no use for him.
“Hoho, not anytime soon bubbles! Although, before I make you catch up with your social life, you need sleep! ..Desperately!” While Sylvestre did seem to be taking the situation lightly, he was still absolutely concerned for Fischer’s health. Sylvestre was concerned if he had even been blinking!
“Sylvestre, seriously, I’m fine. If you could just let me work a little longer, I could—“ Fischer was abruptly cut off by Sylvestre. “Hohoho, no can do my darling! You’ve done enough already, the least you could do is catch up on some sleep! Everyone has been worried about you…even Mimi!”
Concerned? About me? They have nothing to worry about, my head is still intact, I’m fine. Although.. I guess I am a bit tired now that I realize it. I’ll just close my eyes for a second, and when I know I’ve closed them for long enough, I’ll be back to work!
Fischer had let his head go limp onto Sylvestre, who had readjusted him to allow his head onto his shoulder. Sylvestre didn’t really care about where to sit, so he ended up sitting onto the floor with Fischer still in his arms on top of him.
Fischer had already passed out, he was initially going to rest his eyes for just 5 minutes, but now he was gonna get a full rest. Sylvestre didn’t care how long he’d have to be in this position for, he didn’t care if Fischer slept over 12 hours, he was just happy that he could finally do the bare minimum for himself.
