Work Text:
Healer's body felt weak, horrible pain rooting from his stomach spreading to an entire body. Clenching his abdomen while silently hoping that the pain would go away. It was too much.
How many days did he manage with it? He wasn't so sure, but it was definitely almost a week.
Pain that was like something was squeezing his stomach. Like something was playing with it.
He never experienced this kind of pain, he never felt like this. He was never this weak. What was happening with him and his body? His brain was fogged with pain and agony.
The only thing he could do, was lay down and wait for it to stop.
He even tried to sleep, but didn't go as a successful attempt.
Even if the silk-like covers were warm and comfy, the ache refused to let him rest.
Even if Fount's comforting blueberry scent lingered in their chambers, he couldn't close his eyes and rest.
,,Oh, there you are my Light."
Fount's voice, soft and gentle as ever appeared behind Healer, who made no attempt to turn his head in his direction.
With a few steps, he walked towards their bed, where Healer was laying. Desperate for a rest, for relief.
,,What's wrong dear? Is everything ok?"
No answer yet, but Fount of Knowledge didn't leave. If anything, he climbed to the bed, laying down beside his beloved.
,,My dear?"
Virtue began to worry, he subtly brushed his fingers against Healer's sleep robes that he gave him. Then slowly raise up to smooth blonde locks.
,,Healer?"
A little whimper made it out from blonde's lips. Pained, quiet. But it still rang bells in Fount's head.
,,Are you ok?"
,,....No..."
The smaller man clenched his stomach even more.
It hurt, it hurt so much.
,,Oh, my Light..."
Brushing blonde hair away, Virtue could feel how warm Healer's skin is. How a shiver ran down his spine. How tired he was.
,,Oh, my precious Light."
Fount lifted the covers up to Healer's shoulders. Carefully, and filled with care. His beloved was sick, and obviously in pain.
,,Shhhh... it's ok....do you need anything? Tea? Medicine?"
,,....Tea....tea please..."
Fount just chuckled softly. His gaze never leaves the shorter figure in front of him.
,,Of course, I'm right back."
Kissing him on the top of his head, before leaving. He was hot, shivering and, oh, obviously in discomfort. He wasn't so surprised. After all, this weird and mysterious virus was bothering Healer for six days.
It was concerning, that it was there without any explanation. Without any reason or problem. It just appeared, and it looked like the medicine was not really working...
Though, what was, were teas. Herbal teas from the deep forest near his spire and near Healer's village.
It was helping with pain and nausea, but not sickness itself. Fount of Knowledge was desperate to find a cure, yet nothing showed up. No success, no discovery. He could only hope for it to just pass. But he refused to do it.
...
Healer was lonely, too lonely. The bed was too big, too empty. The scent of blueberries was still there, sweet like the Virtue himself. The only thing that was missing was, the weight next to him and his voice filling the silence.
Fount was gone for five minutes and he already missed his Blueberry.
,,I'm back, my dear."
Suddenly a voice appeared next to him. Feeling the weight next to him.
,,Come on dear, up. Your tea is here."
Carefully, he helped Healer up. A disoriented and little bit feverish blonde only looked at Fount with a little smile.
,,You are back.."
Fount laughed softly, his laugh melodic and gentle like a breeze on a summer day.
Smooth hand, running down blonde's cheek causing Healer to shudder.
,,My love, of course I'm back. I'm not leaving you."
With that, he kissed his forehead, with Healer humming contently.
,,Now, drink up. You will feel better."
He brought the cup closer to Healer's lips, slowly guiding him to take a slow sip.
The tea was delicious.
,, Better?"
,,...Mhm"
,,Good. Now rest my Light."
,,.... Don't go...."
His hand grabbed Fount's. Desperately, pleasingly to not go. He doesn't want to be alone. Not at least now.
,,... Please Blueberry...stay..."
He looked pathetic, so pathetic that it felt too bad to leave him.
,, Alright... I'm not going anywhere."
,, Thank you..."
Slowly laying down next to Healer, wrapping his arms around him. He could feel Healer to snuggle closer. Closer to his chest, closer to his heartbeat. Fount just rubbed soft circles on his back.
Before he knew it, Healer was comfortably napping pressed on his chest. With another chuckle, Fount pressed another kiss on Healer's forehead, falling asleep next to him.
