Azure’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he heard music start to blast around the large auditorium. Oh my gosh! They were actually coming out! Just like that a figure arrived from the mist, they held a microphone in one hand and had their other hand pumped up in a fist.
“Are you ready, Robloxia?!” There was a roaring cheer from all of the crowd as Azure screamed with them, he couldn’t believe he was here! Actually here! And Two Time was about to preform in front of them, their body actually present in the same space as them.
Azure was suddenly shook side to side by Chance excitedly as they did a couple little jumps. Azure laughed and the real music started.

Azure found himself laughing maniacally and singing along loudly with Chance and all the other people around them, Chance had his phone out, recording the whole event, but it probably wouldn’t come out too well since they were jumping too much.
Much later, Two Time had preformed their unreleased album Shadows Die Twice Azure really loved what he heard, and couldn’t wait to buy every single piece of merch there was to that album, the vinyl record, the CD, and the cassette tape. He didn’t even have a cassette player!
The closing song had come to an end and Two Time slowly walked backward into the mist.
“My time here has come to an end, goodbye everyone!” There was then uproarious applause and shouts, Azure of course being he the loudest in the row.
After another long while the stage lights dimmed and everyone was herded out. As Azure walked through the row though, he spotted a backstage pass on the concrete ground, it was hiding under a chair, Azure bent down and picked it up. Oh dear, an ethical dilemma…Azure tapped Chance on the shoulder, why did he think they would be any better at solving this though?!
“Chance, look what I found” he could see Chance’s eyebrows raise and his posture grow stiff in surprise. “Should I find the owner or use it?” He questioned worriedly, and Chance put a firm hand on his shoulder “Azure, your literally the most wholesome little bean I know, I say this is karma, your winning streak! Don’t throw away a jackpot!” That was a pretty convincing speech, oh boy! Azure’s mouth widened into an almost maniacal grin.
“I’m going to see Two Time!” Both proceeded to squeal like little girls and Azure put the pass around his neck as Chance shoved everyone out of the way as they took a beeline to the backstage entrance. As they ran, Chance shouted excitedly.
“Tell me every single thing that happens in your conversation, I want no words missing!” Azure nodded and they stopped as they came to the backstage entrance.
A security guard stood, even taller and bigger than Azure in all black with his arms crossed, looking ready to fight anyone. Azure showed him the pass nervously, their hands shaking and he nodded. Azure smiled back at Chance then started to walk in, Chance was going to be okay though, because he heard his voice clearly behind them.
“So, handsome, you into red or white wine?”
Two Time arrived at a hall, they apparently just had to walk down and find Two Time’s name. The walk seemed ever long, and he started to doubt if Two Time was even in this hall, when they finally saw the star on the black door Two Time it said in big bold letters. He took a deep breath, this was it, this might be the moment that changes his life. He decided to expect the worse so if they were just alright then it would be way better than what he thought…they would probably…flip him off and call him a slur, yep! That’s now the standard.
His fingers wrapped around the cold door handle, a stark contrast to their sweaty palm. And he turned it as he slowly walked inside. There they were, taking makeup off at the vanity with the classic Hollywood lights glimmered around it. He saw their famous blue and grey heterochromic eyes flick towards him through the mirror, a smile came upon their face.
“Oh, you’re handsome,” they stood up and turned around so they came closer to him. They took his face in their hand and moved it to different angles as they wished. His face grew hot. “what do you do for a living?” They asked, this was weird. Anything for them though
“I’m a botanist” he said, and Two Time let go of his face.
“Do you have a room dedicated to me on your house?” They asked and Azure’s eyes widened.
“I live in an apartment and no” they smiled and their hand went to his chest, even more blush came to his face.
“Would you like to go to lunch with me tomorrow?” They finally questioned, and all the other questions made sense! They were trying to figure out if they were a creep or not.
“Y-yes!” He said and Two Time smiled, oh god they were so pretty, they couldn’t believe they actually have the one real person he had put on his hear me out cake. What would all his friends say?
They reached out and tucked a piece of his hair behind his ear.
“Beautiful” they said, and he was unsure if they were talking about their plans or him. They then stepped back and waved a hand at him. “Any questions? Or, need me to sign something? Although if the date goes well I’ll be signing more than a piece of paper” they said smoothly and Azure’s eyes widened.
“Sh-shit, I forgot something to sign…but uh…I do have a question, well, basically it’s my friends but…” oh god, he never stuttered! How come he was doing it now?
“Ask away, pretty boy”
“Where do you get ideas for your songs, is there a pattern to them or..?” Two Time plopped down in their chair and continued to remove makeup.
“I actually get all my ideas from dreams, there’s no order to anything whatsoever besides what order my mind’s saying it should be. Don’t tell the internet though, I love all the fan theories.” He smiled at that, how sweet.
The door suddenly opened behind them and in came a lady with a headset on, also wearing black.
“Amarah’s going to be here any second now,” she said and Two Time looked back and nodded at her, she then disappeared back behind the door. Two Time on the other hand had ripped a piece of paper from a nearby notebook and started to scribble something down with a pen. Azure walked over to see what since he had a feeling it was to him. They handed the paper to him.
“This is my personal number, you can text and I’ll tell you times and where and stuff. You can also just text me for fun!” He smiled and nodded as he stuffed the paper in his pocket. “My manager is coming though, so you’ll have to leave, so see you soon,…”
“Azure” they smiled fondly at this name.
“See you soon Azure” Azure felt a burst of adrenaline and heat as Two Time said his name, his actual name, to him they also said it so slow but with such intention, it made shivers go down his spine, he then rushed out, passing a couple people in the hall before bursting out to see Chance and that security guard dude.
“Chance! They asked me on a date!” Both Chance and the security guard looked at them with shock. Chance laughed.
“Come on dude, good one” Azure shook his head then grabbed Chance’s wrist and ran, most of the stadium was empty by now so they ran to their car fast.
Azure plopped down in the driver's seat. Chance coming in next to him, he quickly whipped out his phone and punched in Two Time’s number, Chance watched them judgingly as he loomed over his shoulder. Azure texted to the number hai, is this Two Time, there were immediate little bubbles floating up and down tauntingly. Then it made a little swoosh sound yea! Is this Azure? Azure smiled smugly at Chance who rolled their eyes
“I’m gonna need a picture,” Azure sighed. It is :) my frend’s a prick and dosebt believe me, could you send me a pic? More bubbles, where are they taking it? Only if you send me one first his cheeks flushed and he went to the camera, then backing the phone up in his hand and smiling sweetly as he snapped it. Then sent it…
Bubbles once more popped up but disappeared quickly, ur so cute ;3 they then hearted the image of him, his stomach did a flip-flop at this and he let out a tiny childish giggle. Then, the image of them came into view, they made a peace sign with two fingers as they smiled with a wink.
“OH MY FUCKING GOD” Chance exclaimed loudly.
“CHANCE, WHAT DO I SAY” Chance took a couple of breaths while putting a grounding hand on his shoulder.
“Say: can’t wait to see you tomorrow heart emoticon” Azure nodded and quickly typed it in I can’t wait to see you tomorrow <3 they texted back quickly hehe, you too and then he shut his phone off…
“I’m texting the group chat” Chance said in a dazed tone and Azure beamed, because this would be a large change, and it would be a good one.
Azure stood at the front desk of the restaurant with his hands in his pockets nervously, he currently wore a brown shirt with a couple buttons at the top and a collar, along with mint green pants that were surprisingly comfy, Two Time told them it was semi-formal and was outside, so he should wear something comfy for spring weather. Chance helped them pick out most of it, and of course he steered the whole outfit to fit with his limited hat.
He had been waiting for a while as the man at the counter didn’t believe Two Time was with him…he suddenly spotted them quickly walking towards the counter in a flustered hurry.
“Azure! Oh jeez, I’m so sorry guys, I should’ve given you a visual descriptor” they said to counter person who smiled and nodded nervously before Azure felt Two Time reaching for his hand. He grabbed them and they him, before leading them through two big doors and to a gazebo with a nice table and a bowl of chocolate covered strawberries, oh boy, he loved chocolate covered strawberries. The two sat down and Two Time immediately grabbed one.
“I was starting to think you ghosted me-” they shoved the strawberry in their mouth. “I’ve only known you for a bit though and I still had a feeling you would never do such a thing,” they said with their mouth full then swallowed. Azure looked down, he really wanted to eat the strawberries…but for some reason it felt rude.
“There’s also gonna be camera people coming through real quick, just make sure to look cute, which shouldn’t be hard for you” Azure smiled sheepishly and put a hand on his cheek as he looked to the side, he saw Two Time smiling coolly out of the corner of his eye.
“So, you said you were a botanist, do you do field work often?” Azure nodded passionately “yeah, I recently went out and did a study on my favorite plant, which is nightshades, that was really exciting! My very favorite is bittersweet nightshade, although we did the study on belladonna, did you know women in the Victorian era but belladonna in their eyes to make their pupils bigger because they thought it made them prettier? They also put oleander in wedding bouquets so I suppose they weren’t the brightest-“ Azure continued to talk as Two Time listened with keen interest. They even asked questions! Azure was expecting this to be a good date simply because it was Two Time, but even if they weren’t a rockstar, he would’ve thought this was a great date.
Those camera men that Two Time had talked about eventually flooded their table, but only one side so they all could get the courtyard in the background.
“Just pretend like no one’s here” they said slowly and calmly then picked up a strawberry and pressed it to his lips, he opened up and let them feed him, most cameras flashed right then, a good image he guessed? He couldn’t focus on that though, because the way Two Time looked at them, so calm and cool, made his heart skip a beat, he felt such elation just by their face.
“They should go away when lunch is served which shouldn’t be long” Azure nodded and he was fed another strawberry. There were suddenly waiters coming up from behind the camera crew and they backed up with disappointment. Pasta and soups and a lot of other things that Azure and Two Time definitely could never eat all by themselves.
“Are we gonna be able to eat all of this?” He questioned nervously and Two Time laughed.
“Of course not! This restaurant is known for large portions, and restaurants love to live up to their reputations,” Azure took a fork and twirled some pasta into it.
“How much did it cost though?” He put the fork to his mouth and took a bite, oh! That was really good, was that truffle? And the pasta definitely didn’t taste from a can.
“Don’t worry about the money, I’m paying” he nodded nervously, usually he would fight a bit more, but he knew half of this was probably worth all of his college education.
“So you said you liked nightshade, hm? I’m sure you know about my nightshade album then? Was that a chicken or egg?” Azure smiled.
“Yeah, that’s my favorite album actually, I like slower songs…but I liked nightshade far before that, that was just the album that got me to start listening to your music”
“So you like slow songs? I can write you a single if your all right with that” Azure’s cheeks grew warm and he fought the urge to smile as he laughed nervously.
“Only if you're all right with that, but I thought you only wrote songs based off of dreams?”
“I feel you qualify” his head suddenly felt light, he felt like he needed to scream into a pillow about now.
“How charming…”
Azure perked up in the grocery store as he heard a small ping and a buzz in his pocket, he quickly snatched his phone as he placed a bottle of vanilla extract in his cart. A text from Chance with a screen recording.
He turned his phone down and clicked on it, it was a news video, bleh, he never watched the news
“In other news, the well known singer-songwriter Two Time seems to have found a boyfriend, but not in the place you might expect from someone with so much money and fame!”
Pictures flashed on the screen, the ones of them and Two Time in the gazebo with the strawberry, he looked so happy in them…more pictures came on that he does not remember them taking, such as more pictures of just him now laughing or just smiling happily.
“Two Time had apparently met this man who was just an average Joe with a backstage pass, a fan most likely living his dream! Said person is a botanist that works at Robloxia’s wildlife institute, his name is Azurewrath and has published a book called Seeing Solanaceae along with many other papers. Will this relationship end happy? Or will human greed take place and the taunt of money corrupt possibly pure intentions, updates will continue to flow here, on channel 5 news”
Chance texted him again. You might be famous now that thought…scared him, it scared him quite a bit, he texted back Chance o shit.
There was then a tap on his shoulder and he jumped as he spun around.
“Oh, sorry, didn’t mean to scare you, but are you Two Time’s new boyfriend?” Azure looked down at his seat pants and stained gross white t-shirt.
“U-uh, no!” He said, like a liar, then ran away with his cart squeaking annoyingly behind him.
Once Azure got home, he fell back onto his couch, another text buzzing, he groaned as he thought it had Chance. But perked up as he saw their name scrolled on the bottom of his phone. Two Time they had said, hiiii cutie he smiled with relief and enthrallment. Hi :) they texted back do u wanna watch a movie at my haus 2 nit? They then gave him the address, he giggled maniacally and kicked his feet before texting yea, sounds great ☺️ oh, ew, what was that emoji?! Hehe sys
Azure nervously rang the doorbell of the large rowhouse in front of them, it was made out of brick and had a blue awning, it of course wasn’t as grand as it could be, but Two Time was kind of known for not liking big things, that was another appeal to their profile, they didn’t like fancy stuff, and it wasn’t pretend, most of their money went into charities and stuff like that, and Azure was scared that it would now go to him. He clutched a bouquet of myrtle, roses, and ivy, it meant courtship in the Victorian language of flowers, Two Time of course wouldn’t know this, but he knew, and it made him feel good to give someone flowers.
Maybe the flowers were too much though…was it too much for a second date? Probably…he was about to throw the flowers in the bushes before the door opened and Two Time smiled at them.
“Aw, did you bring me flowers!?”
“Yes” he said quietly and nervously, not stuttering though! Two Time took the flowers and gave Azure a kiss on the cheek. They then were invited inside as Two Time stepped to the side and closed the door as the two walked in, it seemed older than they thought.
He followed Two Time to their kitchen as they got down a vase from a shelf and quickly filled it with water before carefully placing the flowers in, they took a bit to admire it before taking the vase and placing it on the island counter. They then energetically moved to Azure, they grabbed his hand and led him into the TV room which looked perfectly set up, there were blankets and pillows and of course a large flatscreen TV.
Azure plopped down on the surprisingly comfortable couch and looked over to Two Time who was looking at their phone busily. They looked back up at him and put it away,
“I ordered pizza, so it should be here soon,” they leaned over and got a remote on the coffee table in front of them. They then sat down next to him.
“What movie do you wanna watch?” They asked while kicking their feet. Azure smiled mischievously.
“The one with you in it” Two Time froze and put their head in their hands.
“Noooooooo” they whine and Azure smiled
“Yeahhhh!” He snatched the remote from them and quickly found the movie. “Reveler, Reveler, Reveler!” He chanted the name of the movie, it was an action movie about a sad drunk who makes it as a spy. Two Time wasn’t even a main character, they had fifteen minutes of screen time at the most.
“Fine, but I’m hiding under the blankets when I’m on” Azure nodded and giggled.
That was when a sudden noise made Azure perk up, it was the door bell, he immediately stood up before Two Time could and quickly went to the door. He opened it to see an annoyingly familiar freckled face.
“Elliot….” He said with defeat, and the blonde beamed at him.
“Azure! Well look who’s here…” Elliot smiled widely
“Just give me the pizza, dude”
“Ohhh~ are you on a date” he said teasingly and Azure huffed.
“And that would be none of your business” there was then a call from the TV room.
“Azure! Who’s at the door?!” Azure stared Elliot dead in the eye as he yelled back, like if he looked away, Elliot would tackle them.
“It’s just the pizza guy! I know him!” Azure snatched the pizza out of his hands and slammed the door on him.
Azure then quickly returned to the TV room, pizza in hand. He set it down on the coffee table and opened it up, it did look utterly delicious, all the evenly spread golden cheese, one side decorated with pepperoni that was just a bit crispy on the edges of the small meats. Azure picked up a slice of pepperoni and took a bite, the taste was still all right, he’s definitely had better. Azure then clicked on the movie which he had suggested and the beginning credits started to play.
After most if the pizza was gone, Two Time closed up the box and fell back onto the couch, they spread a blanket over both them and Azure. Azure quickly slipped his boots off in a panic and folded his legs to the side so he could fit under the warm blanket. That’s when he felt another warm something press up against him, it was Two Time, they had placed their head on his shoulder. Azure smiled softly, and pulled them in close. Wow, when had he ever thought this would actually happen. Two Time’s hands wrapped around his waist. They then made a happy little hmph that seemed very impulsive and instinctive, it…caught him off guard and he looked down at Two Time.
Azure saw a cute little person pressed against them, dark haired and with soft siren eyes. That…wasn’t a god was it? They’re a person. A sudden surge of confidence came to Azure’s chest and he slouched down on top of them, placing his head on theirs. Their hair smelt nice…like hibiscus and lily of the valley. It reminded him of the green house, and of home and instead in tensing up and getting flustered, Azure relaxed.
The movie had ended and Azure had found Two Time with their head on a pillow on their lap. They look sleepy as they shifted around and looked up at Azure. They smiled though and Azure’s heart warmed. He felt not as someone who admired, but someone who loved, really loved. Their face wasn’t shockingly beautiful, they were just adorable.
“Can I tell you something?” They whispered, Azure nodded. “I’ve never kissed someone” Azure felt like he was at a middle school sleep over again, he had admitted the same thing, then, he had admitted he loved one of the other girls there, they only barely remembered the quiet thing, but he remembered the overwhelming urge to want to be closer. When he said this though, he was laughed at, laughed at and pushed, and they pulled his pants down, and none of the girls ever talked to him again, no one in his school talked to him again, even his parents talked to him less, everyone abandoned him.
“I-…why are you telling me this?” He asked and Two Time smiled.
“I wish to choose you to be my first kiss” they said and Azure’s eyes widened, he nodded slowly and Two Time sat up. They shifted closer and then smiled awkwardly.
“H…er, how do you do it? I’ve see movies and stuff, but those things aren’t always right” Azure let out a soft chuckle and took their cheek in his hand.
“Don’t worry, I can show you” Azure said gently and Two Time’s hands folded over their lap in a polite waiting position as Azure leaned closer.
Their warm untouched lips finally came into contact. Azure then felt special, not to the world, not to their higher power, but to someone they loved and what else could he want. The kiss deepened to the shortest second before Azure pulled away. He looked at Two Time who was beaming a stupid yet charming amount.
“Wow!” They mused then cupped their own cheek. Azure was just thinking of how fondly he thought of them on only the second date. In Azure’s experience, the relationship was either fourth base first night, short lived relationship lasting that night only. Or second base on the fifth date followed by abandonment, this is why he stopped dating a while ago and just focused on work. Who needs a partner if they have the power to leave you rotting.
“We should do that more often,” they said with a innocently pleased smile, and Azure couldn’t help but laugh. How sweet.
“Yeah, of course” there was then a pause and Two Time’s smile faded as he bit his cheek and looked down at his hands while fidgeting with his skin. “So…uhm…does that mean we’re…partners?”
“Yeah, if you want” he looked up at them with shimmering eyes and nodded. Azure then jumped as his phone buzzed on one side of the couch, his heart skipping a beat as he whipped around, then grabbing it and looking at the time, he clicked the notification off, it was a reminder to leave by 9:30 since he had work tomorrow. Azure looked up at Two Time almost guiltily.
“I…I have to go home, I have work tomorrow” Two Time nodded with understanding and stood up, blanket sliding off their lap without care.
“Alright, you get some rest, I can’t wait to see you again”
