Chapter Text
As I lay at the brink,
the pitiless curtain threatening to fall
upon this meaningless life,
shadowed thoughts crept in,
clouding my heart.
But that was when he appeared.
Like a sunrise scattering the warmth of a new day,
he appeared before me, radiating a light
which I couldn’t help but bask under,
reviving every fibre of my being.
That night brought forth a new dawn–
one I never expected to see.
Never before had I been willing to toss aside my own beliefs to honor those of another.
But for him, I’d give up my self in a heartbeat.
