Chapter Text

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom.

This kingdom was old and ancient, wild to the core. This was the Fae Kingdom, known to many mortals as the “Fairy Kingdom”. It was ruled by the Morningstar, a powerful being who earned his right to rule through blood and sweat, defeating an ancient evil that plagued the world, his crown a testament to his trials.

For a time, after the war, peace reigned across the land. Creatures roamed, plants grew and the mortals? Moved through life, their lives so short compared to humans. At first, the Fae and the humans kept their distance, separated not just by culture but time. But the Morningstar grew curious, turning his eye more and more towards the humans, away from the stresses of his kingdom, of managing the different clans and Lords who made up of it. Eventually, he had the idea to disguise himself as a human.

One day he met a woman, a strong fierce woman who captured his heart. Together, they gradually fell in love. He made her his Queen and the two ruled together in harmony, spawning a daughter. A little Princess of mixed descent. A half human and half Fae child.

What a little miracle.

But Time is a cruel mistress, and one that takes no prisoners. For the happy family of three didn’t get to be happy for very long. It started with a cough. It started with a cold. It started- and then never ended. The Queen withered like that of a rose in winter, the once vibrant life turned to ash.

And three became two.

Then two became one.

For the Princess soon went missing, leaving the Morningstar to grieve along, fighting to keep his kingdom intact. No one knows where she is, but the throne waits for the day she returns. As for the father?

Oh how the Ancients will tremble- Hell have no fury like the anger of a good man.

As for others?

Well…Why should they matter?

You’re not interested in that.

Notes:

Just gotta lay down the groundwork.
