Chapter Text

It was definitly not a pleasure to encounter Asakura Takeshi.

I was excaping from cops at that time, having robbed a car, driving until the cities faded behind me. Sleeplessly, another few miles stretched. When the sky bottom was dyed opal, I saw a suspicious man at the edge of the road. Additionally, he gestured me to stop.

I was quite regretted that I stoped. Maybe I just need to blame my messy life for ruininig all my sense. So that's the reality, I stopped, then surprised to found an Asian face under his curly golden hair. He grabbed a long iron stick, with his head tilted to one side. I was convinced that I saw some blood on that stick. Something was wrong. But when his sharp eyes catches mine, I knew that there was no turning back.

He grined, which seemed surprisingly gentle, then went around to reach my car door handle. The moment he opened the door, some rusty smell mixed with heat wave flooded in.That was sicking

" You are fleeing, right? " A husky and, I don't know how, a kind of teasing voice. " From the cops. " He added, keeping the grin.

I didn't answer. Actually I was frightened. Every single part of this man produced a dangerous breath, slightly whispering an undiscovered accident, possibly, a murder.

" Aha. " He said with a complacent voice. " You killed your wife. "

" No! " I shouted, Realizing that my necklace was exposed to his sight. How could I be recognized as the same kind? " It was a grievance. And she's alive. " I said dryly.

He didn't say anything. When I gazed at him agaim, I found him already rest aginst the seat, asleep, safe and sound. with complex emotions about this whole ridiculous thing, Iwas wondening why I acted more like a murderer.

As the sun rises in the morning, my sleepy mind took control and almost sent us to death when an advertise board suddenly bursted into my sight. The skid awoke the man, well, awoke both of us.

" shit. " My head was aching. The board seemed innocent, it looks like the result of aging. I realized that it must fallen from a building, which means, we arrived in a town.

" Hungry. " He said.

I slowly drove around to explore this area. There was a store nearby. But I was not sure whether I was wanted. Then I heared my car door was opened. The man, the illogical man jumped out despite the car was still moving.

I made a skid again, Unbelievably staring at that ramshacled, tippler-liked figure pacing towards the store. I could never had such a good chance to get rid of him. I just need to reach out my arm to close the door... just a few seconds...

At that moment, a gun shot tore this dizzy morning, which freezed every drop of blood in my body. Just between this tiny moment of hesitation, I knew that I have lost all my chances, for the horrible criminal dashing facilely with a handful of goods and a shining revolver, slipping into my car when I just about to step on the gas. The chaos he produced was thrown behind the sandy airflow blew by vehicle exhaust. We are now truly geddamn accomplice.

Now I was driving a robbed car, accused for attckting Eri and her collegues. My only passenger may have killed someone and even owned more than one piece of weapon. Could it be worse? Even when the man's hand holding the noodle cake pieces was dangling around my mouth, trying to share his robbed Top Ramen with me, I almost ignored his danger, just wanting to say" Leave me alone. " He didn't seem to mind my frayed nerves and just made his typical expression again, that could be dmost described as "naive", making you forget how psychopathic he was. However, for some unknown reasons, I don't think he would kill me. But the physical reaction was so honest in the face of fearness that I couldn't even relax my frowned eyebow. I'm tired of feeling like I'm fucking crazy.

So I turned on the radio for some potentials that it may divert my attention to this anxiety about not knowing where to go. The old device signed as it started to work. After a crackling static noise, a wanted notice followed.

"...Looking for an escaped serial killer. The suspect, Asakura Takeshi, a Japanese male, 28 years old, 6 feet 75 inches tall, with golden and curly hair. He was last seen wearing a Snakeskin leather jacket, and perhaps moving on Route 119. The suspect is armed and extremely dangerous. If you see this person, do not..."

I turned off the radio.

We kept hurrying to our unknown future. The store must have called the police, so we must drive to another route before alerting more people. Asakura remained silent and calm in most hours, but you don't know when he will suddenly break this weak balance. When dusk fall, he seemed quite glad about those orange in the distance and even wobbled his head, whistling a strange melody.

While when stars could be seen, our gasoline ran out. We were stuck in the entire darkness, only starlights staring down, and perhaps, cops approaching.

I found a pack of cigarette in those grabbed stuffs, thinking it is the situation to light one. I haven't smoked since I met Eri.

" Stop that. " He said, " It's smelly. "

" You hate smoke? " I was a bit astonished. "Then why take this? "

" I didn't mention. " He murmured in unsatisfaction.
" Annoying. " The low roar from his throat was low, like a trapped beast's painful tolerance.
I suddenly heard a loud bang, and the vehicle shook. He was kicking the tires.

" Hey! "
