Work Text:
momoko and ichigo have been girlfriends for three years now. their relationship was quite 'weird', as others labeled it, but they didn't care. love was love.
ichigo was a yankī—she was rebellious, was always hot under the collar, and was confrontational, always ready to put up a fight over anything that even remotely angered her. however, ever since she got together with momoko, she learned to (somehow) control those traits of hers. she was still short-tempered, but little by little, her patience extended as she observed her partner and her habits.
momoko, on the other hand, was ichigo's polar opposite. she was a lolita—a 'rococophile', as other people called it. they weren't so far from the truth though. momoko loved the rococo period so much, she would often times daydream about being able to live in such an era. in fact, she even adapted a few hobbies based off of what noble women in those times would enjoy, such as embroidery, going out for walks, and the like. she was like a princess, really.
despite her ethereal appearance, her soul was rotten, she said so herself. she was deceitful at times, but the girl also was judgmental, and overly nonchalant sometimes too. the good part here was, she didn't care about what others said, and played by her own rules. it was her life, after all.
despite that side of her personality, she still loved ichigo dearly. while she hated her guts at some points during their relationship, she couldn't bare to let her go, or see her hurting.
one day, they were both out together in tokyo, simply wandering around late for some fresh air. the once bustling streets were now quiet, and less populated, giving off a sense of calmness and solace.
"ichiko," - momoko called softly, yet suddenly.
"yeah?" - ichigo turned her head to face the latter, her eyes quietly analyzing momoko's face, waiting for her to speak.
"remember when i called you ichigo?" - she asked, a sly smile on her face.
"don't use that name!" - the biker snapped.
"ichigo!"
"don't call me that!"
"ichigo~!" - the lolita teased, riling ichigo up.
"i'll kick your ass!" - she rebuked.
"go on!"
then, momoko began to sprint away, giggling as her girlfriend started to chase after her. ichigo was a tad bit faster than her, so, of course, she easily caught up, nearly knocking momoko down as she grabbed her by the shoulder.
"ack!"
"told you not to use that name." - ichigo grumbled, brows furrowed as she looked at the lolita.
"i'd like it better if you called me a pet name, or some shit,"
"like what? darling? honey?" - momoko asked, a playful glint in her eyes.
ichigo's expression soured at the nicknames, finding it too 'lovey-dovey' for her tastes.
"or you could just call me 'babe'..."
"why? that's too boring! i prefer the ones i suggested, they sound sweeter."
"they're cringe, momoko!"
"oh, come on, honey!"
momoko giggled again, stepping closer to ichigo, almost standing chest to chest with her.
"shut the fuck up!" - the tougher girl urged, practically steaming from anger.
"make me..." - momoko smirked, all smug and prideful.
ichigo took that as a challenge, suddenly leaning in to kiss her, rough and hard. her tongue battled with momoko's, and her hands snaked down to her waist, pulling her in closer.
the other girl let out a noise of surprise, her eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. eventually, she melted into the kiss, her arms wrapping around the delinquent.
shortly after, they pulled away, breaths coming out in shorts of bursts as they tried to catch them.
"ichigo...! what was that for?! and, why'd you have to do it in public?!" - momoko whined indignantly.
"what? you told me to shut you up!"
"i didn't mean to do so in that way! definitely not through a vulgar kiss too!"
"the hell does vulgar mean?"
momoko sighed, not bothering to say what it meant.
"whatever..."
later on, they went back to their hotel, the both of them laid back on the bed. ichigo had her arms wrapped around the daintier girl, spooning her in closer. momoko had her own arms around ichigo's neck, her face close to hers too. she breathed softly, her eyes heavy as she began to grow tired.
"you getting sleepy?" - the tougher asked, her hands flexing around her waist.
momoko nodded, nuzzling her face into ichigo's neck, planting a few soft, sleepy kisses there. she smiled drowsily after.
then, gently, yet uncharacteristically so, ichigo lifted the other's chin up, peppering gentle kisses on her cheeks, before letting her go. her other hand that was once on her waist, now went up to cradle momoko's head.
"sweet dreams, ichigo. goodnight." - momoko whispered against her neck.
"mmm..." - ichigo hummed in response, wishing her a good night too.
