Chapter 1– introductions
Hello my name is Ethan hart fitzpatrik and im 16, I run the Wildwood high school dnd club with a few friends now let's get into a recent session where I introduce a new member
'Mari have you finished with your schoolwork orrr?' I asked as I started to set up for today's dnd session, 'you see Ethan, I made the very difficult decision to just ignore my work' Maria responded as she sat down next to where I was standing. 'So very difficult mari' Cassidy said as she and Noah entered the room, 'you understand cass, now you two sit' mari said, Noah sat down and said 'now we just wait for Ivory and Ant ' 'no need to wait my dear' Ivory said as she entered from a different door 'where's Ant ?' I asked, 'he is talking to evan, hun' Ivory answered 'of course ',' mari said in an exasperated tone, 'shush mari' Ant said entering the room 'gods finally, now let's start, first up i'm welcoming a new or i guess returning member' 'is it Andy?' cassi said immediately, 'oh my god, please say it's Andy' Ivory added, 'please Ethan' mari said 'you all are annoyingly correct, Andy come on' 'hello' Andy said as he entered the room, cheering erupted from the table as he talked 'come sit Andy next to Ivory, now let's start.'

'Okay Mari, what was your character's name again?' I ask as I pull out my dice. 'How rude of you to not remember, anyways her name is Nia and she is a centaur/bard.' 'I know what she is mari' 'shut up Ethan, if you don't remember her name then you don't remember what she is.' 'Can you two shut up and can we start?' Ant said 'anyways, you all are in front of a massive fence, barbed wire on top and an electric fence warning sign hanging nearby' I said 'I touch it, hun' Ivory immediately said 'you touch it and get electrocuted immediately, you take 20 points of damage and your cat now has some singed fur' 'NO WHISKERS' Ivory yelled, Andy flinched as he was sitting next to them and responded to Ivory’s yell with a 'shush, continue Ethan' 'thanks Love' I answered. 'Can I use my wings to fly over the fence?' Cassi asked 'I mean ya' I said 'thank you, good sir' she added. 'So flora flies up and over the fence but the bottom of her wing hits the barbed wire and she falls down landing on the floor a few feet below' I say 'is she okay' Ant asked at once 'ya she's fine' 'oh thank goddess, not so good sir' cassi said dramatically, 'can I use my axe to cut down the fence' Ant asked 'okay, Ant pulls out his axe and like slashes it over the fence it cuts a big hole and you all climb through minus cass who is bleeding out on the floor'

'End of session you all can leave bye bye' I say as I start packing up. The crowd filtered out in groups. Noah, Mari, and Ant walk out together chatting about Ant and evan, cass and Ivory follow, Ivory asking about a school assignment. 'How long does it take for you to pack up' Andy asked, still in his spot, 'you could leave y'know' 'I know I don't care,' Andy said as he walked up and put theirs, Ivory’s, and Ant 's character sheets on the table next to me. 'Jesus Ethan, you should fix your hair' Andy commented as he learned forward and started playing with my hair, I felt my face flush hot as Andy did. 'My love stop please' I said 'yeah, yeah' Andy said but he continued playing with my hair anyways. 'What was that?' Andy asked as my phone went off. 'Sorry love, it's my phone' I said as I pulled it out, the name maddi flashed on the screen, 'can I take this call?' 'of course' I picked up the phone as soon as I answered the phone I heard maddi say on the other side 'Ethan can you come home or come get me from mums?' 'What happened maddi?' 'hettys being mean again' 'tell her to stop and im not coming yet' 'ok, bye Ethan.' 'You ok?' Andy asked as he sat on the table, 'I'm fine, love' 'Okay, again Jesus' Andy said as they pulled out their phone, elara flashed on the screen, 'I'll call her back later, also it's like 7 pm' 'it is?!' I exclaimed 'ya, anyways i'm going to walk home now' 'bye Andy' 'bye Ethan' Andy said as he stood and walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek, before leaving the house. I pulled out my phone and texted my mother (mom, i'm going to come pick up maddi and hetty) (whatever, see you soon dear) 'DAD I'M GOING TO GRAB MADI AND HETTY' 'SEE YOU IN 20 MINUTES’ ‘OK ETHAN’

'Ethan how long is this' maddi said as we walked home 'oh my god mads you are so annoying' 'am not hetty' 'are so' 'Ethan tell hetty to leave me alone' 'shut, we're home' 'yeah!' they said at the same time. 'Ethan, maddi, hetty, come in' 'thanks linda' I said as I went in the house my sisters behind me, 'kids put your stuff away and come down for dinner, Ethan can you help me set the table' 'got it linda' I walked in to the kitchen to grab some plates linda and hetty talking behind me and Maddi walking to there room to put her stuff away. 'How was dnd today?' 'it was great dad' 'that's good' 'dad I got an a on my test' maddi butted in, 'what test was it maddi?' maddi said math as a response then hetty said 'you always get an a, no matter what test madeline' 'i know that esther' this was the point I zoned out but after 10 minutes we were told to get ready for bed.
