“Candace, are you sure this is a good idea?”
“Yes Stacy, I saw the neighbor’s dog open a hole in this tree.”
“But what if we get spotted? The Normbots are really scary”
“Stop talking so loud, I need to concentrate, I think… I almost… Got i-AAAA!”
The two ten year-old girls went tumbling down the trapdoor which had opened under them, eventually falling out into an underground room. This room was incredibly pink, and though a little worse for wear, seemed to have loads of high-tech gadgets all throughout. In the center of the room, there were three people, one of them was wearing a green military uniform with the letters “MM” on the front, the shortest one appeared to be not much older than Candace and Stacy, and beared striking resemblance to the first man, minus the different hair color. The third was wearing braces and a labcoat, and had curly ginger hair. When Candace and Stacy landed, all three immediately turned their heads to face the two girls.
“Great Googly Moogly! Carl! Get the mind erasing device.” the one in the military uniform exclaimed, causing the one in the labcoat to promptly salute and run off somewhere else.
“Mind erasing device!?” Candace repeated “I don’t wanna get my mind erased!”
“Well I’m sorry young lady, but we can’t risk you knowing the location of our secret headquarters. How did you find this place anyway?”
“Candace hit a tree” Stacy chimed in, clearly very nervous
“Because I saw the neighbor’s dog open it up.” Candace elaborated
“I told Agent P to be more careful when entering HQ” The military man said under his breath “Why did you come down here anyway? I thought Doof’s brainwashing made it so that people wouldn’t investigate strange occurrences." he said once again addressing the girls
“We want to help you out. You guys are the resistance against Doofenshmirtz, right?” Candace said
“No. We are the OWC… well I suppose we’re not too official anymore, so, yes, yes we are.” the military man said “but you young ladies can’t help us. This work is too dangerous for kids like you.”
“With all due respect mister…” Candace began “I don’t care how dangerous it is. I have two little brothers at home, and I don’t want them to grow up without any of the fun parts of life. I know injustice when I see it, Doofenshmirtz is no exception, and I won’t rest until he goes down down down!”
“That… *sniff* was beautiful” said Carl, who had returned and was now crying
“Pull yourself together Carl!” the military man said “now, as inspirational as that was, you’re still far too young to help us.”
“But dad…” the shortest one began, having not spoken until now “it sounds like they really want to help, and even if you don’t want to admit it, you need the help”
“Monty, this isn’t your decision to make; besides, we have plenty of agents, isn’t that right Carl?”
“Well sir, after our last mission… we uh…” Carl said very nervously “we’re down to just Agent Pinky.”
“Great Googly Moogly!” the military man said before turning back to the girls “well uh… it seems we could use some help. Do either of you have any skills that could be useful?”
“Well, I did find your hideout” said Candace
“And I know taekwondo” Stacy added
“Well, you’ll probably need some training, but we’re desperate, welcome to the resistance.” the military man shook both of their hands “I’m Major Monogram, but you’ll call me sir”
“Yes sir!” Candace said, performing a salute, which Stacy quickly mimicked
“Alright Carl, start their training immediately, skip the early levels we need them ready fast”
“Yes sir!” Carl said before turning to the girls “Follow me”
As they began to walk to another room, Monty turned to his dad “Can I start training too?”
“Monty, how many times do I have to tell you? It’s far too dangerous for you to be doing field work.”
“But they get to do it”
“Alright, but you have to promise me that you’ll be extra careful.”
“I promise”
“Alright, Carl take Monty too, but give him the full training, I don’t want him going out unprepared”
“Yes sir!” Carl said, stopping to let Monty catch up to them
When Monty caught up to them, he began to talk to the two girls, asking Stacy “So, she made that whole monologue about why she wanted to help; why do you want to help us out?”
“Candace is my best friend, I’m with her all the way”
