Work Text:
When Ash took an agreement for an arranged marriage between the members of the Polish Cave and the Regime he didn't expect it to be with one of his secret best friends on the island. He knew that Multi was too focused on his goal, Graf was looking at Haiper through their whole conversation and Nexe was a dog. So at the end of the day it had to be Ewron. Who came up with this horrendous plan? Of course Haiper, who was too concerned about his radiation that he didn't think that the arranged marriage could destroy Ash's whole plan. However Ash would be a liar if he would say that the concept of marrying Ewron was bad. He might have some problems with this irritating red panda hybrid, but he was extremely curious how Ewron would behave in their "honeymoon". Ash was getting ready, trying to look at himself in the mirror. He definitely wasn't in the best shape but who would be if they had to get married to a person that killed their daughter? His eye was red, his face was swollen and the glitches on his other eye appeared with the strengthening force. He swallowed loudly trying to find himself in this new reality. He could've got married before, with Molly, but something pulled him away from that idea. Or maybe someone. Ash didn't know and the time wasn't right to immerse himself in the thoughts completely.
"You look great Supreme Leader"
Ash turned back and saw his best man. Haiper smiled at him and nodded his head.
"Are you ready?"
"Haiper don't piss me off. You know I hate that guy." - Ash bored eyes into Haiper - "It's ridiculous that I am the one who has to marry him. Why couldn't you and Graf get married? What is this economy for Fuck's sake."
At the mention of Graf Haiper wasn't really trying to hide his red cheeks. It was too obvious that Graf and Haiper were something but of course no one knew so Ash had to do everything for this shithole like Regime. Who even cared that Ewron bombed their Pantheon and it had to be him to get a peace between those two fractions? Stupid conditions.
"The ceremony is about to begin Ash. We need to go"
Ash only checked himself in the mirror for the last time and followed Haiper.
He was standing by the altar, everyone was there except the cherry on pie, Ewron. Of course he had to make a big entrance trying to fly into the church on Graf's flying dick. Ash was ready to strangle him with his own hands, but in the circumstances of everyone there he had to just softly smile and be ready for his death from embarrassment. The ceremony began and in a few seconds they were supposed to be matrimony. Duncan for whatever reason was their priest. Ash didn't even know he had papers for that but on this island no one really cared.
"Now it's time, for you, to say your vows." - the voice got to the most distant corners of this building. Everyone was quiet waiting for Ewron to start. Ash looked him in the eye and tried to read what Ewron was planning in his head. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. Before everything Ash allowed himself to check on Ewron. He wasn't wearing his usual assassin robes. His hair was stylized in a perfect mullet and his ears were pinned up. His eyes were glassy like he was supposed to start crying and his face was shining because of the lightning. He looked… beautiful.
"Ash" - when Ewron said his name Ash was sure that in a minute he would be on his knees praising this man with everything he could. - "One day I dedicated my life to you and now I can do it again. I am putting my heart on a plate for you to take it and lock it into the deepest part of you. You will decide if you want to break it or keep it safe from everything. I am your man from this moment and God my witness that I will do my best to be by your side in the happiness, sickness and even in the reflection of death. I am willing to spend my life by your side no matter what."
"Ash now your turn" - Duncan said, wiping his tears.
No matter how hard Ash tried to say something similar nothing came to his mind. He was too focused on analyzing every little detail of his future husband that didn't even realize that it was his turn to say a few words. Haiper had to wake him up and make him aware of everything. Ash never felt so vulnerable before.
"Ewron" - everything was standing still. All the noise from outside didn't matter to him. He was so blessed to have this man in front of him. "I just want to say that no matter what I will be by your side. That's all"
Everyone in the church went quiet, Ewron looked like he was betrayed and Ash just couldn't pour his heart out. He couldn't. It would destroy everything he has ever worked on, everything he loved and cared about. It would destroy the Regime's reputation, his reputation. It would cost Ewron his life and Ash didn't want that. He couldn't let his blade die. Not from the Federation hands, not from the radiation. Only from the senility.
"Ewron, do you want Ashswag to be your husband?"
"I do"
"Ashswag, do you want Ewron to be your husband?"
That was the moment when everything should go down. When Ash says no and everything is over for their relationship. Just say no Ash and you won't be hurt again.
"I do"
Finally after the long wedding reception, when everyone went to their homes and it was only them two left something changed. There was no happiness in Ewron's eyes, there was a hurt that only Ash saw. They were sitting outside of a Polish cave, smoking some cigarettes and looking at the stars. Ewron was first to speak, eyes following the constellations.
"It's beautiful" - Ash however was looking at Ewron, admiring him. How the moon was sitting perfectly on Ewron's cheeks. Ewron's lashes were so long that Ash was sure they were painted. Ewron's position was relaxed but the tension on his shoulders was visible.
"It is"
"What are you looking at?" - Ewron grinned trying to understand Ash's behaviour. He knew that Ash drank too much and it was showing. His eyes were almost closed like he was supposed to fall asleep right there. His body was trembling because of the wind and he had to lean on his hands to be stable.
"At you. I love you Ewron. I love you so much it hurts. I love your habits, your appearance, your stupid mouth that never closes, your blue eyes, your ideas, everything about you. I love you." - Ewron was so shocked that he didn't even realise that Ash is now crying into his hands. He stubbed out a cigarette and hugged his now husband. They were connected like two souls that were supposed to find each other. So similar but yet so different. Finally Ash hugged him too. After a while Ash stopped crying and their foreheads connected.
"You are my drug Ewron"
With those words their mouths finally connected. It was soft at first, uncertain. But then the fire came. Their tongues were in a matching rhythm and Ewron's hands were running through Ash's hair. They were clumsy, messy and extremely hot when they explored each other's mouths. It was electrical, aggressive and surprisingly wanted by the two of them. Ash's hands were on the other hips and were trying to pull him even closer than he already was. Their teeth were knocking and Ash was trying to win this quiet competition. From Ewron's mouth they were escaping a quiet gasp and Ash knew he won. He laid down Ewron while still kissing him and his hands started to explore more of Ewron's body. It was addicting. Sometimes Ewron would moan a little into his mouth or would pull a little stronger Ash's hair but Ash didn't care. He was ready to give this man everything. Ewron was first to pull away.
"Ash"
"Yes?"
"I love you too."
