...Let's start from the beginning of all this...
— Kazuha.
. Scara has been strangely strange lately, every day he has a new bruise on his face or some other part of his body. I feel bad about it. I'm his boyfriend but... he never tells me about what happens at his house, he's never said anything, not a single word about it...
I was sitting next to him in the classroom, he was quiet, but with a smile on his face. It was a free period so we were free.
"Kazuha." He said my name.
"Scara?" I looked at Scara, he intertwined his hand with mine and tilted his head to the side.
"I'm going to kill myself tonight, with a whole bottle of Prozac or even a kitchen knife." The way he said it, it was so calm...
"Scara, are you oka-"
"Look on the bright side, when I die you'll be able to have my Nintendo 64 that I never let you play." He laughed "You'll be able to play it all night in your room."
"Scara, please... don't say that... you know I don't want to lose another person." I approached him and placed my hand on his cheek "Don't say those things, okay? I love you." I kissed his forehead.
"Uh..." He looked away and sighed. At that moment the principal entered the room to send everyone to their places because another teacher was coming to give us some material.

Now the room was completely silent while the substitute teacher wrote things on the board. Soon the bell rang and everyone put away their things. I quickly got up and started to leave the room.
"Hm…"
"Kazu!" I heard a familiar voice calling me. When I turned my head to the side, I noticed Gorou running towards me.
"Oh… Gorou." I smiled and waved to him.
"You're leaving already, right? Want to do something this afternoon? You know, you're my best friend." Gorou wagged his tail from side to side; he seemed happy.
"I think that—" As I was about to answer, I saw Scaramouche at the exit door looking at me with a strange smile. I knew what he wanted.
"So?! Shall we go?"
"Look… I don't think it'll work. I'm sorry, Gorou… I'm going out with Scara today." I gave him two pats on the top of his head.
"Ahhh! Really? Uh... then I'll tell Itto and Kokomi that it'll just be us..." He lowered his head and sighed sadly.
"Well, I'm going now, okay? Bye Gorou." I waved to him as I walked over to Scaramouche.
"Oh! Bye!" He smiled.
I approached Scaramouche and, with each step I took, Scaramouche smiled even more. It wasn't a normal smile; he seemed to be faking it.
"Kazuha..." he said in a low tone, closing his eyes and tilting his head to the side, still smiling "So you're going out with me today?"
"Yes... I am. It'll just be you and me, okay? Let's get ice cream, how about that?" I held his hand and we started to leave the school and walk towards our houses.
"Kazuha, I love you... you were the best thing that ever happened to me." He spoke, her head bowed but still smiling.
"Uh? Oh Scara... for me too, you were one of the best things that ever happened to me. I remember the day we started dating." I chuckled a little.
"Don't remind me of that... it'll be embarrassing. — He turned her face away, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks."
"What's wrong? Just because you ended up falling in the middle of school when you were confessing your feelings to me?"
"Yeah... your friends were all around, I could hear some of them laughing at me."
"Don't mind them... but look, nowadays we're together, right?" I brought my lips close to her head and kissed her there.
"Yes... nowadays..." He said in a low tone.
"We're here. Well, I literally live next door to your house so... I'll see you in a little while, okay? I'll come pick you up." I placed my hands on either side of his face and caressed it, then brought our lips together and sealed them in a short kiss
"See you later!"
"Ah.. yes. I'll see you in a little while."He put his hand on the doorknob and let out a sigh of sadness, and went inside.
I went home and was greeted by Beidou, one of my mothers. "Oh, how lovely! I saw everything, little boy!" Beidou hugged me tightly and started kissing my head and cheek.
"Mom..!" I was running out of breath.
"Beidou, let go of the boy, if you kill him we won't be able to see the two of them together again." Ningguang had appeared in the room, causing Beidou to let go of me.
"Ah, yes." She looked at my other mother and his face lit up.
"Well, how was class, Kazuha?" Ningguang asked.
"It was good... oh, and I'm going out with Scara today, okay? We're going to get ice cream." I walked down the hallway to my bedroom door.
"Awww, he's going out with his boyfriend! How cute!" Beidou said sincerely, making a heart with her hand.
"Mom!" I yelled, embarrassed, and went into my room, dropping my backpack on the floor and grabbing my phone.
I opened my WhatsApp and texted Scaramouche, but he didn't reply as usual. So I put my phone down and went to change, putting on some simple clothes to go out later. I left my room and went to the kitchen, sat in my chair and started to serve myself.
"Yes, yes. Soon I'll have to go back to the sea... not that I'm a mermaid in disguise."
"You are a mermaid, my mermaid."
"No, you are mine."
"Ah... oh, look, Kazuha has appeared again," Ningguang said.
"What are these conversations you two are having?" I asked, confused, looking at each of them.
"I was telling your mother that I'm going back to the sea, but the way I said it made it seem like I was a mermaid," Beidou replied, serving orange juice to the three of us.
"And I said she's my mermaid." Ningguang said, bringing the forkful of food to her mouth.
"But she looks more like her, doesn't she? Imagine your beautiful mother being a mermaid." Beidou winked at Ningguang, who blushed upon hearing what Beidou had said.
"Beidou, eat quietly." Ningguang said. Eating with my mothers is complicated; sometimes Beidou flirts with my other mother, or Ningguang slaps Beidou on the back of the head... ah... Even so, I love them.
When I finished eating, I went straight to my room, picked up my phone again, and looked at the notifications.
"Hm... Wattpad, X, Instagram, Amino... ah! Whatsapp." I opened my WhatsApp and it was a message from Scara.

I put my phone in my pocket and left my room, heading to the front door to leave, but Beidou called me.
"Kazuha!"
"Uh?" I turned around and looked at her.
"Take care, okay?" She smiled and waved at me, making me sigh.
"Okay, Beidou." I turned around and left the house, went to Scaramouche's house and knocked on the door.
The door opened revealing a woman with purple hair, she was tall and had an angry expression on her face.
"Can you tell me who you are?" The woman asked.
"I-I'm Kaedehara Kazuha... Your son's boyfriend...?" I replied. She looked at me a little confused and then rolled her eyes.
"She is a girl , my daughter, okay?" she said, turning her face back and looking at the stairs. "Kunikuzushi, your boyfriend is at the door." I saw Kunikuzushi coming down the stairs with a sad expression on his face. He seemed handsome, but with that expression...
He came to his mother, who seemed to whisper something in his ear. I couldn't hear what it was; it couldn't be anything bad.
"—L-let's go, Kazuha..." He extended his hand towards me, and I took it. We started walking towards the ice cream shop.
"What did your mother whisper? It was... something good, right?"
"Ah? Hm... It wasn't anything important."
"Are you sure?"
"Uh-huh... Everything's... fine, Kazuha." I decided to ignore it; we just kept walking until we reached the ice cream shop.
We went inside and walked to the place where we could get our ice cream. I got a chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate topping, Scaramouche got a Neapolitan one also with chocolate topping. We went to a table and started eating our ice cream.
"Are you enjoying your ice cream?" I asked, a smile appearing on my lips.
"Yes, it's wonderful, hehehe." He laughed, looked at the ice cream and started licking it. The way he licked it made me feel a little... strange.
"A-ah..." I continued watching him lick the ice cream.
"Kazuha? Why are you blushing?" He asked, and I snapped out of my thoughts when he asked the question.
"Ah! It's because... B-because..." I looked at him again, his head now tilted to the side with a small smile on his lips.
"Don't tell me that... you got excited watching me lick an ice cream?" His last words came out lower, like a whisper.
"What?! No! Nothing like that, haha." I looked away and licked my ice cream, trying to ignore the embarrassment.
"Would you like me to do this to you?" He stuck his tongue out and licked the ice cream again, his face had a somewhat mischievous expression and a blush on his cheeks.
"S-Scara! Don't do that, it makes me embarrassed." My face felt hot and red, Scaramouche just laughed.
"Okay, okay... But if you want... I have the whole afternoon free to spend with you."
"Urgh... You're so beautiful, there's no way I could be mad at you..."

The afternoon passed quickly. I was lying with Scara in an empty, quiet field. It was getting dark, so I took him to watch the sunset with me.
"It's so beautiful... Isn't it?" I turned my face towards him. He was smiling with that enchanting smile of his; he's incredibly handsome.
"Yes... Magnificent, even more so seeing it with the one I love most." He turned his face towards me, straightened his back, and sat up. I did the same.
"Kazuha, I love you so much..."
"Oh, I love you too—" I couldn't finish. My mouth was silenced by a kiss. He started to climb onto my lap, so I placed my hands on his waist.
"Look at that... Kazuha finally touched my waist. You always touch my face, but never other parts of my body." He wrapped his arms around my neck and finally sat on my lap. "Hehe, are you wanting something more?"
"W-what?! No!" Scara, stop being so silly!" I turned my face to the side and blushed slightly. I felt something on my neck, it was wet and warm... Scara is giving me a damn hickey, that idiot... "What's this? What are you doing?"
"Marking you, you're mine, the only person who truly loved me." He tilted his face to the side and placed his hand on his neck, running his fingers over the pale spot
"Don't you want one too? You know, I've never received one..."
"You're so stupid..." I sighed, brought my lips close to his neck and began to place some kisses, before finally leaving a mark on the spot. Scaramouche groaned as I marked him in different places on his neck.
"O-oh~ it was only once... You're quite naughty... Haha." He laughed, starting to hug me tightly "Oh, how I love you..."
"I love you more, my little kitten." I pulled him closer and started kissing his face, hearing more giggles escape his lips; he's so cute and beautiful.
"I think we should go now, it's getting late." He stood up and I did the same, taking his hand and we started walking home.

I dropped Scara off at her house and went to mine. Beidou and Ningguang weren't home; they must have gone on a date. I went to the bathroom to take a shower, then I was going to sleep... I have class tomorrow and I'm really tired. I took a quick shower and got dressed, walked to my room and plugged in my phone to charge, lay down on the bed and... fell asleep quickly.

I was woken up by siren noises, blue and red lights flashing in my face. I got out of bed sleepily and looked out the window, seeing that the lights were coming from an ambulance that was in front of the Raiden family's house.
It was around 2 a.m. I left the house and walked to where the ambulance was and several people were around it. They were curious people. I approached a woman; she seemed completely terrified by what had happened there.
"Hey, can you tell me what happened?" I asked the woman, she looked at me a little sadly, sighing and shaking her head from side to side.
"Are you related to the Raiden family?"
"I'm Raiden Kunikuzushi's boyfriend, or Scaramouche."
"Well, Kunikuzushi, she..."
"Kazuha!" I heard someone calling my name, when I looked it was Kunikuzushi's little sister, Nahida "You're here!" She came running towards me.
"Nahida, what happened?" I crouched down to her height.
"You know Kunikuzushi? He... He suffered so much at home, our mothers didn't like him because he was an "annoying" and "stupid" boy, and besides, they hated him for being a trans boy... Ah..." She sighed sadly. I was a little shocked by what she said, but I let her finish "He... He cut himself daily and faked a smile. He really loved you, but he couldn't bear all the depression inside him, so he... Took his own life... He hanged himself in his room a few hours ago."
"Scara... He... He's dead...?" I stood up, my eyes wide and unsure how to react "No... Haha... Tell me it's a lie, tell me it's a lie...!"
"Kazuha, calm down... Please." Nahida tried to calm me down, but it didn't work; I started crying a lot.
"Kazuha! What happened?!" Beidou started calling me and running towards me along with Ningguang; they seemed to have just arrived.
"No, no... It can't be... No..." I started repeating the same word several times.
"Kazuha... I'm so sorry... But he's gone..." Beidou moved closer to me and put her hand on my shoulder.
I looked ahead again, seeing Yae Miko and Raiden Ei being taken away by the police, certainly for mistreatment and incitement to suicide... After they took them away... I saw Scaramouche's body being taken away by the ambulance. I tried to run towards it, but Beidou started holding me back and wouldn't let me see him one last time.
"Kazuha, stop!" She held me tightly; I cried loudly and attracted the attention of several people.
"No! Beidou, let me go please... I have to see him one last time, just one last time!" The ambulance put him inside and they started to drive away "NO! BEIDOU LET ME GO!"
"KAZUHA STOP!" She yelled, so I stopped moving and lowered my head "He's gone, there's no going back!"
"No..."
"Kazuha... I think it's best if you keep this box of his... It has things that will always remind you of Kuni." Nahida handed me a box full of things, inside it was his Nintendo 64, the damned Nintendo...
"Scara..." I fell to my knees and cried even more.

The next day... I didn't go to school, I stayed home lying in bed without getting up, I didn't eat, I didn't drink anything... I just kept remembering everything we went through together...
I sat up a little and looked at the box Nahida gave me, I pulled it onto my bed and started taking out the things inside... Photos, love letters I gave him, poems, drawings, anime figures, his... phone... and the Nintendo 64... Underneath it was a letter, it said "For Kazuha"... I opened the letter to read it...

I cried reading the letter... I hugged the letter and let the tears flow. I looked at the Nintendo and started installing it on my TV in my room. I turned it on and picked up the controller. I turned on a game that was there and started playing, I couldn't stop crying... But it reminded me so much of him...
"Scara... Why...? Why didn't you ever tell me about this? I... I could have helped you..."
