Work Text:

The bowl of Cheerios sat in front of Shrimpo. The bowl was scratched and looked like it had been through a lot. Shrimpo’s eyes stayed on it.

“Come on, Shrimpy!! Just eat it. I prawn-mise it won’t bite!” Finn said, he chuckled after his very funny joke. His eyes were locked on Shrimpo, his expression full of hope.

“I told you I wasn’t HUNGRY.” Shrimpo spat. It was true that he said he wasn’t hungry, but every time he said that, he was lying. He always ended up knocking on the fish bowl’s door asking him to make him something.

The two sat there in the cold apartment building that Shrimpo moved into a couple of months ago. Finn begged the crustacean to move in with him, but Shrimpo insisted he just lived in the same apartment complex. He only suggested it to shut the fish bowl up.

Finn hummed, he wondered what would make Shrimpo eat… he got an idea. “Fine.. you don’t want to eat the food.? That’s okay!”

“It is..?” Shrimpo asked, his mood shifted. Finn had never given up easily.. he was definitely planning something. His thinking was interrupted when he heard the spoon cling against the bowl.

As Finn picked up the spoon, milk and a couple of the Cheerios dropped from it. He started to lift the spoon to the shrimp.

“What the hell are you doing?!!” Shrimpo said. He watched as Finn mimicked an airplane. Shrimpos face was flustered and his tone was worried and angry sounding at the same time.

“Pleaseee, Shrimpy..? You don’t hate airplanes that much do you?..” Finn made puppy dog eyes at Shrimpo which made the shrimps cheeks go red. Was Finn crazy? He was trying to feed him like a baby!

Shrimpo sat there and thought. Was he really considering letting Finn feed him like a baby. Shrimp actually DID hate airplanes, but one thing he hated even more were those stupid puppy dog eyes Finn made. They were so controlling and they made Shrimpos cheeks flush. Shrimpo hated when his cheeks did that and when he felt sappy emotions. It was weird.

Shrimpo finally gave in.

“This is never… DO YOU HEAR ME? NEVER! to be talked about again.” The angry crustacean finally replied. He closed his eyes and slightly opened his mouth, his arms crossed. Was he really doing this..?!

“You got it!” Finn agreed and started to lift the spoon up to Shrimpos mouth. Shrimpo crunched aggressively everytime food was put into his mouth. He growled just one more time before finishing the food.

“You did it !!” Finn cheered.

“That was stupid.”

Finn lifted his fish shaped watch above the blue pajama top he was wearing.

“Well would you look at the time !! I’m going to go get dressed! It’s fishing time!”

Shrimpo looked up from the scratched up bowl that was no longer filled with Cheerios. Now it was just milk swaying. “WAIT.!”

“Hm.?”

Shrimpo got up from his chair, he paused before saying, “thanks. Stupid fishbowl.”

Shrimpo was kind of close… there was barely any room between the two. Shrimpo decided to close the only gap between them by pushing himself closer to Finn and cupping his cheeks.

What was he doing?!

Finn slightly giggled before pulling Shrimpo into a kiss.

Shrimpo’s lips were soft no matter how rough he always looked. Finn was enjoying this. Even more than he enjoyed feeding Shrimpo.

Shrimpo broke away from the kiss looking up at Finn. His eyebrows were still in their usual angry position, but his expression had still softened. “I hate you.” He said before opening the door for Finn.

“I love you too!!” Finn said skipping out the door, his smile even wider than it was when he got here.
