Work Text:
One day, You awoken early still in the early hours where the sun was gleaming with golden hues turning a bit more yellowish, While the main reason you got up was to make breakfast, you were in a daze before realizing it was too early but since you were full of energy, you decided to tend to the garden at the grand front entrance, You were watering the flowers and plants after finding an old plastic watering can hidden away in a corner outside Mother Miranda's home built with the same things for House Dimitrescu; it's been a few weeks since you two actually became official, and ever since that, you were always filled with happiness like a humanoid sun.
While you were busy with tending the garden, Mother Miranda was already leaning against the manor's door frame, she awoken shortly afterwards after finding out the other side of the bed was cold, she silently watched as you did your thing; taking her time committing the scenery of you tending the flowers in your sleeping gown while humming a joyful tune into her memory before pushing herself off the doorframe and finally steps outside, she moves like a cat; her footsteps quiet on the pavement stone as she approaches your back— you never realized until she spoke.
“Little Bird.” You quickly jumped, stopping from watering another pot before turning around to see your beloved close; to the gods above, how did I get so lucky with a beauty like her? You smiled happily at the sight of her, fawning over her in your mind. “Miri!” You gleamed like it's been months since you've seen her.
“You're up early, my love.” Mother Miranda stated as her hands quickly went straight to hold you by the hips, “What's with all of this? Hm?” She questioned, tilting her head slightly on the side. “Well.. I thought your flowers needed a little watering! That's all!”
“Really? How thoughtful of my Little bird, but you do remember you're not allowed to do anything without me,” She leaned closer, her body almost pressed against yours.
You pulled away, huffing at how she's currently acting. “I know, I know..but maybe sometimes I should be able to do things myself? I know you don't want me to get injured slightly but..— I also want to be able to do things alone.”
Mother Miranda seemed irritated when you spoke those words, but she also gave time to think about it. She studies your face with a stoic expression; you couldn't tell what she was thinking, still haven't developed a skill into reading her. “Fine.” she muttered, almost letting the word out harshly as it tasted sour for her tongue, her fingers ran throughout her hair irritably as if doubtful of letting you do things yourself.
You smiled once more, placing your hand on her cheek, “Thank you, Miri.” You leaned in, closing the gap between you two and kissing her softly before pulling away— and of course, Mother Miranda doesn't accept short, tiny, soft, kisses; she filled the gap between you once more before a second even passes, her tongue deep into your mouth as she takes her time before running out of breath and pulling away, You were left flustered before letting out a laugh and being the happy person you were.
A while after, you both quickly regained your composure and talked about different topics; Mother Miranda returned to the porch to lean against one of the wooden pillars with her arms crossed over her chest as you continued spraying water over the rosebuds, a good amount of time till Mother Miranda returned behind you to wrap her arms around you and bury her face into your neck; breathing in your vanilla-like scent the trees were dancing while the birds sang a tune— the atmosphere felt warm and joyful; it was a cozy morning, something that most human beings miss out on by staying up late, or by refusing to get up.
Another hour passed, the golden hues were mostly yellowish and you found the right time to do something “Miri look!” Mother Miranda reluctantly let you go as you chuckled while running into the gleaming lights of the sun, you stepped on some dry golden and brown leaves on the gravel, you turned; holding your own hands behind your back and smiling with your teeth showing, “It's a beautiful morning!” Mother Miranda stared at you, her eyes wide with thoughts seeped in fast; I've chosen the right spouse, she's.. perfect. She looked at you, the corners of her lips lifting upwards; You made her like this, You actually changed her into something more soft, Mother Miranda let out a tear before letting out a chuckle, “You're beautiful, My love.”
She once again, committed the moment of you gleaming under the sunlight into her memory; You chuckled cheerfully “This is why I've been meaning to wake you up early with me! See how cozy and warm it is!” Mother Miranda let out a short laughter, “I'll try from then on to wake up early for you, but you better promise we spend the hours together,” You walked closer to her, your hands finding their way to hers, “Promise! Anything for you!” Mother Miranda continued smiling, from how close you are from earlier, you finally noticed a few stray tears and wiped them off.
Is this really how it felt to belong?
Mother Miranda held both of your cheeks, leaning towards you and closing the gap, she slowly pressed her lips against yours, savoring your taste, your scent, everything. She steadily slipped her tongue beyond your lips, taking her time and making sure this kiss was unforgettable, Mother Miranda pulled away to let you catch your breath for a minute before diving back in afterwards, After awhile, You two pulled away, both of you were breathing heavily as your hands still lingered on each other's bodies, shortly laughing softly afterwards before whispering a few terms of endearment to each other, and ending the moment.
“I love you, my sweet little bird.”
“I love you too, Miri.”
