Work Text:

Everyone was shocked that they ended up in a strange dark room, including a few officers, two members from the Black Organization and somehow they got the undercover FBI agents too. The Kudou couple and Professor Agasa were grouped together while the kids stayed together with Ran, Sera, and Sonoko. Akai– his other identity, Okiya Subaru, was distancing himself from the group on his left as he was confused why he ended up here with them. He saw to his right where Kogoro and Eri were aware and alerted of their dark surroundings, although he couldn’t see what they were doing; but it seemed like they were protecting each other. He also saw a pair of teenagers, Heiji and Kazuha, also protecting each other.

He wonders so much if he wasn’t hallucinating.

Then finally he saw a familiar person in front of him, ‘he’ was looking and observing his surroundings on his left. He realised what he saw in front of him was Furuya Rei, Bourbon, or his other identity as the Poirot Cafe worker under Mouri’s detective agency. In his view, he doesn’t seem to mind at all since he still probably held a grudge against Akai himself.

Then a faint whisper suddenly came up behind him, “Shu..” Akai swiftly looked behind him only to see Jodie. She was a bit scared that she also ended up nowhere in a dark room with everybody else presented here, Akai had no choice but to whisper back, “I don’t know where the hell we are but we’ll figure out a way to get outta here. This place seems a bit shabby after all.” Jodie nodded as she began to observe her surroundings, Akai as well.

Everyone seems a bit tense, especially the kids. Why were the kids also taken here?

Something isn’t right.

Vermouth, who was distancing herself from the others, began to suspect that this might be an arranged plan to kidnap all of the people inside this dark room. How can this specific person or the group kidnapped all of them in broad daylight?

Subaru, or Akai, and Jodie were discussing about their upcoming plan to defeat the Black Organization’s members with few other FBI agents in their private room when they disappeared from the agents’ views, Vermouth and Bourbon were doing some work arranged by the boss when they suddenly got teleported in the dark room, The Kudo couple, Kogoro, and Eri were reminiscing about their high school moments in the past when they also got teleported but got separated as if they had been controlled by someone else. Not to mention, Professor Agasa and the kids were playing board games with Haibara and Conan until the four disappeared from the shrunken kids' views.

Ran, Sera, Sonoko, Heiji, and Kazuha were talking about their upcoming jobs and possibly families in the future when they also got teleported into the dark room, but somehow the Teitan trio were separated from the Osakan couple. The same goes for the Tokyo officers who were discussing the recent murder case that’s happening, also teleported with everyone else.

Suddenly a loud speaker spoke,

“Hello everyone, don’t fret that I’m not here to hurt all of you. I’ve reserved multiple seats right in front of your perspectives and a giant screen will show you the moment of truth.”

None of the people stayed silent as they began to get concerned of what this ‘speaker’ might do. Since no one dared to speak yet, few of these people knew what was coming. The people who knew about Conan’s actual identity, Kudo Shinichi.

“What’s the moment of truth that we’ll be seeing, huh?!” Sera shouted at the speaker loudly as she was also curious enough to know about this speaker’s identity.

“The moment of truth will be shown directly in your eyes if… you decided to sit in the arranged seats I’ve given to everyone in this auditorium. You can sit beside your friends or somehow partners. Then, I might give you a recognizable name you’ll know of.”

Everyone kept their mouth shut while few others clenched their fist in anger or perhaps in fear. Everyone in this room all suspects that Conan is actually Shinichi when they found out, especially Yusaku, Yukiko, Professor Agasa, and Heiji who were going to fear the worst, watching the scenes on the screen. All of them began to settle each other;

(ROW 1, BACK ROW) Kudo Yusaku, Kudo Yukiko, Mouri Kogoro, Eri Kisaki

(ROW 2, SECOND BACK ROW) Juzo Megure, Wataru Takagi, Miwako Sato, Kazunobu Chiba

(ROW 3, MIDDLE ROW) Jodie Starling, Akai Shuichi (Okiya Subaru), Furuya Rei (Bourbon), Vermouth

(ROW 4, SECOND FRONT ROW) Mouri Ran, Masumi Sera, Suzuki Sonoko, Tooyama Kazuha, Hattori Heiji

(ROW 5, FRONT ROW) Professor Agasa, Tsuburaya Mitsuhiko, Yoshida Ayumi, Kojima Genta

Once everyone sat in their specific row, Ayumi asked another question to this speaker somewhere else, “Uhm excuse me..! Can you tell us the recognizable name now?” The room fell silent as the unknown speaker began to speak again, answering Ayumi’s question,

“Well, of course I’ll say this specific name. Perhaps, does everyone here know who Edogawa Conan and Ai Haibara are? If so, let’s get to the point by watching together! Uncover more truth as time passes by, I might warn you that these scenes might be a little uncomfortable to watch but you’ll get through it. Good luck.”

“Hey! Wai–” Kogoro’s mouth was now covered by Eri, she was a bit annoyed at her “husband’s” sudden anger. To his loss, he kept quiet when others glanced at the bickering couple, clearly chuckling. Kogoro was left embarrassed with this whole situation even when he had no energy to get angry again so he and the other decided to watch the whole thing in one sitting.

The screen showed Mouri Kogoro’s Detective Agency and birds’ chirping.

“Wow, what a scene..!” Ayumi exclaimed in happiness but Mitsuhiko shushed her down, keeping the girl quiet. She showed a small smile to Mitsuhiko before glancing at the screen again.

The birds flew right after Conan’s sneezing happened, he sneezed onto the tissue paper while sitting on his mattress.

“Conan has a cold?!! That’s new..!” Genta spoke first, but the two kids also shushed him down. Genta realising their conversation might interrupt the whole scene, quickly apologized to the adults and behaved. The adults and the teenagers, after all, didn't mind his sudden reaction since they were also curious to know about Conan.

Ran appeared beside Conan as his face was tired, and asked him, “Are you okay, Conan-kun?” Conan replied back, “I’m okay.. My body’s temperature isn’t too high, if I slept all day, I might get better.” Ran hearing all of this, replied back at Conan, “Okay then, I’ll go first, also..”

“Hah?! This brat’s having a full blown sickness?! This gotta be a joke!” Followed by Ran’s small worry to her best friend, “S-Sonoko..!” Then she couldn’t do anything when Sera joined in on the conversation, “Heh.. he might have done something reckless to his health anyways–” This conversation was interrupted by Heiji as he was kinda annoyed by the girls’ conversation, “Oi oi.. Keep ya’ mouths shut.. We don’t want another interruption from the speaker..!” The girls went quiet when Ran saw a wink from Heiji, she smiled as she understood the signal that he might’ve stopped the conversation.

A distant voice by Sonoko can be heard from downstairs, “Ran! If you don’t hurry up, we’ll be late for school!” Followed by Ran’s voice, “Hold on!” Ran turned to look at Conan as she began to speak again, “I’ve already told Dad to prepare lunch for you, so just warm it all up, okay?” Conan replied in a tired manner while waving back at her, “Okay.. see you later.” Ran replied back, “Okay then, see you. I’ll be going now.”

Ran made her way out of her dad’s room while carrying her bag then closed the door which Conan glanced at the door being closed.

“Hm.. what a normal interaction, sounds like these scenes might be normal.” Takagi thought for a little before paying attention to the screen again. Sato and Chiba noticed his actions as they also began to think the same like Takagi while Megure looks like he wanted to go back doing his work but he couldn’t, that goes for the resort of the people that are starting to get bored.

Sonoko was waiting for Ran when she heard the door closed, who then saw her best friend in front of her. Ran came face to face with her best friend and said, “Sorry to keep you waiting.” Sonoko then asked her, “So that brat’s sick, huh?” Ran answered while glancing back at the door, “That’s it, he did say he’s okay but..”

Everyone watches quietly, not bothering to talk, clearly focusing onto the screen except for Vermouth, who was already getting bored despite trying her best to get interested in it.

The scene switched back to Conan sneezing onto the tissue paper again where he began to unwrap the blanket on the mattress, stood up, opened the door, and walked outside Pops’ room. He was walking when he heard the conversation ensued, he stopped in his tracks as he listened, “So, have you heard from Shinichi?”

This time, Vermouth suddenly gained interest when the name “Shinichi” got mentioned. Everyone else was shocked, even the Kudo couple and the professor. Ran was suddenly thinking about Shinichi now, she may have or not realised that Conan nor Haibara aren’t with them in this auditorium; she kept quiet as she and the other began to watch again despite the concerns of the missing high school teenager’s name being mentioned.

Conan’s face paled a little. The scene switched to footsteps coming down the stairs when Ran’s voice can be heard saying, “Not yet, why is that?” Sonoko replied back at her while walking down the stairs alongside Ran, “Poor you.. You should’ve left a guy like that, how can you have a crush on a guy like that?!” Ran replied back in an embarrassed manner, “Having a crush..?”

“I seem to enjoy watching teenagers' conversations a lot, I might deal with this easily..” Jodie’s thought seemed to confirm that this specific scene might be normal too, the same goes for Takagi, Akai or.. Subaru stared at the FBI agent before looking back at the screen.

Sonoko then put her finger onto her chin and continued the conversation, “By the way..” Dr. Araide appeared suddenly on the screen when Sonoko suggested that Ran should’ve been with Dr. Araide instead.

“WHAT?!” A loud scream echoed in the auditorium by Kogoro himself, he was shocked to hear from his daughter’s best friend suggest that she should’ve been with… Dr. Araide?!

Eri tried to calm him down by telling him to sit again, and he finally did when Kogoro saw Eri stared deeply into his eyes. The teenagers stared at the screen before the four people looked at Sonoko. She was a little startled when she accused herself of joking. Of course they didn’t buy her lies but continued watching again.

Ran was a little surprised while Sonoko grinned. The scene switched to Conan rushing back to his uncle’s room, made his way to open the window, and watched the scene while holding onto the bars on the balcony. He looked to his right and saw the pair already walking away from the agency. Sonoko replied to Ran again, “He’s a doctor and already an adult, he’s definitely more reliable than Shinichi himself.”

Few of them chuckled at Sonoko’s response, saying that Dr. Araide was better than that high school detective freak. Heiji kind of also chuckled a bit when he realised the girls were practically having a small laugh except Ran who was a little shy about this whole thing. The Kudo couple, Vermouth, Akai/Subaru, and Professor Agasa stayed silent throughout the scene. Once everyone’s noise died down, they continued watching again.

Conan’s face showed an annoyed expression, “Damn.. that Sonoko..” Then Conan somehow hallucinates that someone was walking behind Sonoko and Ran, it was none other than Shinichi himself.

Everyone gasped, including the kids’ jaws dropped as they were surprised by Shinichi’s sudden appearance, but he appeared to look a little different.

Shinichi’s appearance walked behind the teenagers as a smug expression showed on his face. Then Conan’s thoughts appeared while watching this figure walk, “Will I stay like this and never return to my original form?”

Everyone fell silent as they began to wonder the same, “Never return to his original form? What does that even mean..?” Ran seemed a little nervous when she stared at the screen, Heiji and Kazuha were the only ones who noticed her slight change in her behaviour. Heiji knew that this wasn’t the only time she had suspected Conan's Shinichi, but this was too different. It’s like.. She knew that Conan was Shinichi after all; everyone was also surprised that they were able to hear Conan’s thoughts too.

Conan stared down as his face dropped while reminiscing about his beloved, original body. He snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head, “No way.. No way!” His face clearly showed a determination where he suddenly closed the window and went back to his mattress, pulling the blanket slowly to half of his face, “Maybe because I’m sick, I began to hallucinate the thoughts I didn’t want to know of.” He closed his eyes, “If I don’t heal from this illness…” Then the screen went black.

“Is Conan-kun okay? He seemed a little determined to see that Shinichi person!” Ayumi asked loud enough for everyone to hear, it seemed that the people inside the auditorium got her question and message but didn’t seem to think much of it, except for Yukiko, Yusaku, Professor Agara, Ran, Vermouth, and Heiji. They seemed a little tense enough to know the next scene so they all began to brush it off and continued watching.

The screen abruptly cuts next to a bright blue sky then to a plate of food beside the sink, another scene of a table and a TV, then a clock ticking. Conan was fast asleep on his mattress when he heard the phone rang, he was woken up by the sound of his ringtone caller then he glanced at his phone. Conan tiredly grabbed his phone and answered the call, “Hello..?” The other end of the line was Haibara who asked him, “Are you sleeping?” Followed by Conan’s voice, “Oh.. Haibara.”

The three kids exclaimed in happiness when they heard Haibara’s voice. The adults and the teenagers were surprised to hear the girl’s sudden appearance.

“I heard that you’re having a flu.. Yeah…” Conan answered as he continued to listen to the girl’s words, “I know this isn’t the right moment, but..” Conan’s “Huh” replied back at the girl’s remark, “The tests for the new antidote turned out to be positive.” Conan then mumbled a word, “Antidote…?” Then he remembered that word, “Apotoxin 4869?!- Yeah, you wanna try it?”

“Apotoxin 4869..?” The words came out from Inspector Megure, followed by an amount of whispers from the others. Sera was suddenly so sure that this might be a permanent antidote to the pill created for shrinking adults to kids; her own mother needs it. Heiji, Yukiko, Yusaku, and the professor sat quietly as they watched the moment of truth that began to show right in front of their eyes.

Conan woke up abruptly from his mattress, determined to know the answer, “Of course, where are you right now? Professor’s house?” Haibara then answered ‘yes’, “I’m on my way home from school right now.” Conan replied to her again, “If so, I’m going there now.” He began to prepare himself by switching to his original clothes, ran out of Kogoro’s room and closed it.

He ran past the room downstairs just as Kogoro opened the door to walk upstairs, he yawned as he was too tired to deal with the boy. The scene cuts to a microwave heating up the food for Conan, Kogoro opens the microwave and takes out the heated food with his kitchen glove. He then opened the door while his right hand carried out a tray filled with the heated food and said, “Hey, now’s the time to eat lunch–” He looked down and saw no sight of the boys at all, “He’s.. gone?!”

“Huff, what a troublemaker… just like Shinichi…” Sonoko suddenly had the guts to compare Conan and Shinichi together while everyone clearly glanced at the girl’s sight who started to agree with the comparison. Heiji was too tired to call out her complaints so he ignored her.

A street lamp can be shown while Conan ran to the Kudo Mansion, walked past the gate before tiptoeing back when he realised, “That’s right, I need a change of clothes..” The scene cuts to inside the professor’s house where Ai can be seen sitting on the couch while drinking her usual tea.

“Haibara-san! She finally appeared as well!” Mitsuhiko joyfully noticed her appearance first, followed by Genta and Ayumi, then the teenagers and the adults.

“Hmm..” The two members of the Black Organization clearly showed an interest for the similar girl on their screen; pretty sure Vermouth and Bourbon knows she’s still alive in that shrunken body rather than believing a lie that she had died from that train explosion.

Ai Haibara sips her tea when she glances at the door, seeing Conan carrying Kudo Shinichi’s high school uniform.

“C-Conan-kun?!” Ran’s heart stopped for a second when she saw Shinichi’s high school uniform carried by the small boy. Everyone was now focused on the high school detective’s clothes as no one knows why Conan had carried them all the way to the professor’s house, except five people, for now.

“Where’s the professor?” Ai answered his question, still holding a cup of tea, “He just went outside.” Conan rushed over to Ai when she suddenly asked if what Conan’s holding was his school uniform which Conan said, “Yeah, I’m going to make a surprise for all the people out there.”

Sonoko and Sera were shocked, their voices echoed throughout the whole room. The adults, the three teenagers, stared dumbfoundedly towards the screen except Heiji and Ran. Heiji knew this expression so he glanced at Ran herself, she was clearly shocked, her face dropped as she began to mumble a name where Heiji can make it out despite being three seats away, "Shinichi ...?"

Ai puts her cup on the table while saying, “You’re stupid, the security guard there won’t let you in.”

Kogoro finally said a word after being quiet for several scenes, “Tsk.. what the girl said is right anyways.” No one gave a shit about his words but continued watching the scenes.

Conan threw his high school’s uniform on the table, now bed for Ai to give him the antidote, “Now, give the antidote to me.” This exceeded a bit of his expectations when Ai gave him a thermometer instead, “First of all, check your body’s temperature.”

The teenagers except Heiji gave a laugh that Conan was given a thermometer instead of that ‘antidote’. The adults gave a small chuckle except the people on row 3.

Conan looked at the thermometer, closing his eyes and said, “Okay then.”

The scene cuts to a light where the thermometer can be heard beeping multiple times. Conan was fixing his clothes while Ai looked at his temperature level, “38.7 Degree Celsius, that’s too high.” Conan then gave a reasoning that he had run all the way here on foot and explained that his body temperature is that high. Ai hesitated for a little before asking him a question, “Are you sure you’re alright? Your body temperature is really high though.” Conan reassured the shrunken scientist, “There is nothing to worry about! Now give.”

“Wow.. determined to get that antidote much? What kind of antidote was he that happy to receive? A blessing?” Sera, who was determined to know that this specific antidote that both kids on the screen were talking about, mumbled quietly as she began to lose interest when Conan kept begging to get this antidote, given the fact that it was somehow a blessing.

Yusaku and Yukiko knew this was a little too far off that their son shouldn’t be trying this antidote when it’s still uncertain whether they actually worked, the same thoughts goes for Professor Agasa and Heiji.

Conan smiled as he thinks that Ai’s willingly volunteered to help him out by giving the antidote, Ai stared at him for a small moment before replying at Conan again, “The effect will only stay for 24 hours, but if you don’t feel too well, it’s best to stop regarding your condition today.” As she took out the white antidote from her pocket to show it directly at Conan.

“That looks like a normal pill though…” Genta mumbled quietly as Mitsuhiko and Ayumi nodded, then agreed on his opinion.

Ai gave the white antidote to Conan where Conan received it happily. Conan fisted the pill and smiled according to his plan. He went to the bathroom to put his clothes onto a toilet’s tank, Conan then sat on top of the toilet seat who began to look at the white pill on his hand. It took a second before he willingly ate the antidote to his mouth, gulped it downwards his stomach and sat there quietly, “With this.. With this, I can become Kudo Shinichi again.”

“Excuse me?!” Sonoko stood up while pointing at Conan on the screen, Ran stood up as well, followed by Sera and Kazuha. “N-no way.. Conan-kun..?” Ran’s small voice can be particularly heard by the middle row, the FBI agents and the Organization members. The teenagers sat down again, worrying for the next scene, this also got Jodie begin to suspect that Conan, who she thought of as the savior of unsolved cases, isn’t what she actually thinks of.

Vermouth, Bourbon and Subaru weren’t surprised as they sat silently, waiting for another scene to pass by.

Then the effect shocked his whole body which made his eyes blown wide. Conan screamed in pain as the effect kept making progress, “It’s starting!!!” His vision went blurry as he saw the ceiling that went fully white.

“Conan-kun!! CONAN!!” Ayumi and Genta’s screams worried everyone else in the room as they watched Conan scream in pain while absorbing the antidote, the professor and Mitsuhiko quickly calmed down the kids’ concerns as Ayumi felt her tear fall down from her eyes. Ran was too surprised about all of this so she sat on her chair back while wondering whatever the hell happened to Conan.

The scene shows the interior inside the professor’s house where “Shinichi” opened the bathroom door from inside. His appearance briefly showed from his pants, his torso, him fixing his tie, then to a recognizable face of Kudo Shinichi who smirked to his expectations.

Everyone in the room had their eyes blown wide when they saw that Conan looks exactly the same as Kudo Shinichi; except for Vermouth, Akai/Subaru, Yusaku, Yukiko, Professor Agasa, and Heiji. The Kudo couple had their fists clenched when they felt the amount of stares coming from the second back row, the middle row, and the second front row. Yukiko can sense Ran’s worried look on her face while the police officers stare at the Kudo couple who keep their eyes fixed onto the screen.

Even though Yukiko and Eri sat beside each other, the lawyer knew that something’s off ever since she observed their worried looks about their son.

“Shinichi” looked to his surroundings where he mumbled, “What? Haibara..?” Haibara!!”. “Shinichi” then opened the door to the empty dark room where Haibara always stayed, he walked inside and said, “That’s weird, where could she have gone?”. “Shinichi” looked at his watch and stated, “It’s already 12:30.. I might still get a chance to eat lunch.. Okay!”

“Hakase.. We have a bad feeling about this Conan–Shinichi person..” The kids looked at the professor’s side but the professor nodded at them saying that Conan should be just fine. The kids didn't buy the professor’s lie as they looked back at the screen to watch the next scene.

“Shinichi” ran outside from the professor’s home, walking past the Kudo Mansion before stopping to look at a tree, “I don’t remember a tree in my yard being this tall. Ah.. maybe it’s because I’m used to seeing it in Conan’s body, whatever.”

“Conan’s body..?” Ran’s thoughts began to overflow once again, seeing the fact that it might confirm her worries that Conan might actually be Shinichi, but she needs evidence.

“Shinichi” ran to Tokyo’s Central City filled with modernised shops and electronics, he walked as he saw those new buildings, “Have those buildings existed before? Is there a renovation?”. “Shinichi” examined his surroundings again before confirming his thoughts away, “There’s too many changes that I never noticed ever since my body shrank.”

Ran’s thoughts began to confirm once Conan’s thoughts were heard by everyone else inside the auditorium; that Conan is… Shinichi all along. She never knew that she had been lied to all those years by Shinichi, is he this.. reckless? The adults stared at the screen silently, processing their minds that the Edogawa Conan they knew is actually Kudo Shinichi.

Thus, they began to uncover more truths along the way.

The scene cuts to a recognizable school that changed all over the years where “Shinichi” can be seen walking on the school’s sidewalk. A soccer ball was kicked by another student to his friends, a group of teenage girls talking together and a few other students with each other. The lockers were definitely the same when “Shinichi” walked past them but saw someone familiar, “The Gorilla?”. “Shinichi” looked at his body before disappearing from his sight, “Haven’t seen him in a while ever since he aged.”. “Shinichi” then opened ‘his’ locker room, only to see a set of unfamiliar shoes inside, “What? These aren't my shoes! This is weird.”

“No way! Could this Conan– or Shinichi-oniisan teleport into the future?!” Ayumi questioned her curiosity outta her way, being baffled by this Conan or Shinichi situation. The officers began to look at the Kudo couple again, seeing them lowering their heads down. Eri was the first one to break their silence by asking Yukiko, “Yukiko.. Is that–?” Yukiko cuts off the lawyer’s questions abruptly, she glanced over before answering Eri, “We’ll explain once this ends, for now, we don’t want any questions.”

Eri nodded while Kogoro stared at the couple’s intentions, he doesn’t know whether this was truthful enough or a joke to make them feel releived. The officers continued to stare at the Kudo couple before looking back at the screen once again.

“Shinichi” puts his hand onto his chin before looking in another direction, “Don’t tell me someone’s been using it ever since I was absent the whole time from school?”. “Shinichi” stared dumbfounded at the locker room in front of his eyes, who then began to swiftly check the whole locker room one by one quickly.

“And… that’s his first action to check the whole locker room?” Sonoko giggled as she saw the whole funny moment with her eyes, her joke finally eased the harsh atmosphere inside the auditorium with everyone else, Ran too.

“As I thought, there’s nothing..”. The scene then cuts to a new hallway filled with unrecognisable students standing next to each other. “Shinichi” sprinted a little to his old classroom before standing in front of his ‘original’ classroom door, "Everyone must be surprised.” He smirked as he went almost inside the ‘classroom’ while saying, “Hello everyone—”. Everyone inside the room stared at “Shinichi” before talking back to their friends in specific groups.

“Pfft.. Hahahaha! Came to the wrong class as well, Shinichi-kun? Can’t believe I’m having second hand embarrassment from this teenager..” Sonoko teases “Shinichi’s” manner as she thought that the high school detective freak became slightly dumber, Ran yelled quietly to her best friend telling her to stop, which Sonoko did apparently.

“Shinichi’s” own face dropped as he thought inside his mind, “Why aren’t they not surprised..? While they.. Who are they..? I don’t even know them.. Did I enter the wrong class..? His face confusingly screams embarrassment at this point.

“Yeah you did, Kudo-kun.” Sonoko and Sera snickered as the adults began to follow the teenager’s small joke towards “Shinichi”.

“Shinichi” then moved backwards to see the class label ‘2-B’ once again, he put his right hand to his chin once again, “This is too weird…”. The scene cuts to him sprinting to another set of a hallway while thinking, “More importantly, I have to find Ran first. She must be having lunch at the Karate Club.”

“Wow, Ran! Looks like Kudo-kun still remembers your schedule after all, what a lovely and lucky husband you must have!” Sonoko leaned her distance between Sera and nudged Ran’s shoulder as the other girl began to accuse herself out, “S-Sonoko..!” Sera, Heiji, and Kazuha looked at the bickering best friends; sounding like they might have done the same to Ran as well.

“Shinichi” stood in front of the Karate Club’s door which appeared to be locked when he tried to open it, “The door’s locked.” Shinichi looked to his left and saw an unfamiliar door with a label on it, “Detective Club?”

“Wah! Amazing! They have a detective club in the school now?!” Mitsuhiko exclaimed in happiness when “Shinichi” mentioned the recent detective club added into the school grounds. Everyone was surprised with the sudden club addition into the school, probably the influence of Conan and the Detective Boys as well as AI and Ayumi.

“Shinichi” began to walk to see the Detective Club, who then opened the door to see a glimpse of familiar faces; Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta in order. The three aged up children who became high schoolers sat down by the table, looking at “Shinichi”. Genta’s aged up voice remarked, “He finally arrived!”

“G-Genta?!” Mitsuhiko and Ayumi screamed in unison as they both turned to look at the shocked person on their left. Sera, Sonoko, Ran, Heiji, and Kazuha looked into their direction as well before glancing back and forth which made Sera come up with a conclusion, “No way! They’re already high schoolers?! That means we must’ve already graduated—” Followed by Ran, Sonoko, and Kazuha’s high pitched screams, “WHAT?!”

The adults don't know what to say at this point. Whether or not that it was truly Shinichi or Conan in the future times then followed by the aged up children they always saw back then.

“Shinichi” was surprised by their appearance but was cut off when MItsuhiko came up to accuse him by stating, “As I thought, you must’ve had lunch somewhere else, am I right?”. “Shinichi” stared at the teenager confusingly as Mitsuhiko grinned, then began Ayumi who cornered herself to “Shinichi” himself, “We already promised together to eat lunch every Tuesday and Thursday, remember?”. “Shinichi” confusingly asked lightly while looking to his left and right, “Eh..?”.

“This is weird.. Why hasn’t anyone noticed that Shinichi hasn’t aged at all?” Takagi questioned politely to himself, thinking if he was actually hallucinating or just overthinking. What he doesn’t notice is that two officers on his left and Inspector Megure on his right seemed to agree on his suspicions regarding their actual ages; no one seemed to pay attention to their actual ages except them.

Genta’s satisfying expression began to show off his smugness as he stated, “I cannot stand eating lunch early, you know–” Followed by Mitsuhiko’s voice that made Genta freeze, “The smell of eel rice that Genta ate, spread throughout the whole class, you know.”

“Unbelieveable…” Mitsuhiko and Ayumi sighed in despair before looking at Genta who chuckled nervously at his neverending loving eel rice or eating eel in general.

“Shinichi” stared at Genta confusingly while Mitsuhiko and Ayumi smiled as the girl began to speak again, “Maybe only Genta ate eel in his own lunch.” The teenagers laughed except “Shinichi” who began to realise that something was so wrong while the others laughed, “Genta? Mitsuhiko? And Ayumi?! What’s going on..?” The screen showed the trio laughing while “Shinichi’s” thoughts linger, “W-why are they here? Besides, they look like they’re high schoolers now.”

“Come to think of it, Ran-san. Shinichi’s acting weird ever since he’s with Conan’s friends, does that find ya’ weird or what?” Heiji finally spoke amongst the girls beside being quiet, then followed by a faint whisper from Kazuha, “Yea! He’s hanging out with them as if they knew each other..” The four teenagers looked at Ran as she was staring at the screen now, determined to find the actual truth by herself; seeing the look on her face screams worries from the four teenagers.

“Shinichi” stared dumbfoundedly in front of him when Ayumi stopped laughing as she noticed his sudden attitude or concern, “Conan-kun, you look a little different today..” Mitsuhiko joined in, “Must’ve been he’s not wearing his glasses today.” Then Genta continued, “Why not wear it after all?”. “Shinichi” paled as Ayumi saw his glasses peeking out from his suit pocket where “Shinichi” saw it as well.

The glasses that Conan always wears.

“WHAT?! THAT’S CONAN-KUN?!” The kids screamed in shock as well as the teenagers behind them, especially Ran and Heiji. The adults behind them were seen disturbed as they finally came to a realization that the person they saw at the beginning wasn’t actually Shinichi at all, but Edogawa Conan. To Vermouth’s surprise, the Silver Bullet she knows finally grows up becoming a sole carbon copy of Kudo Shinichi without ever receiving a permanent antidote of APTX 4869, then… What the hell happened with Sherry?

Conan finally took his glasses from his pocket and stared at it, before wearing it. His glasses shined before looking up to realise his actual identity while Ayumi observed his looks and smiled, “See? Now this is the Conan I knew of!” Then followed by Genta behind Mitsuhiko appearing on their right where Mitsuhiko spoke, “Hey, Ayumi-chan! You’re too close–!”. Genta said, “That’s right! Why are you always like that?!”. Conan began to look at a mirror on his left to see his reflection while the others bicker at each other.

“N-no way… Conan– no.. Shinichi…?” Ran mumbled quietly as tears began to roll from her eyes, Sera who was beside her began to calm her down by rubbing her back. The parents on Row 5 looked at the screen with such disappointment and possibly a surprised look on their faces; even the uncle couldn’t believe that this brat has grown up to be a high schooler, a carbon copy of that high school detective freak too.

Conan stared into the mirror as his eyes went wide open, “Don’t tell me..” The flashbacks happened back to the tree, the new buildings, Gorilla (Mr. Kishida), the different classmates in his ‘original’ classroom; then to the present time where Conan stared into the mirror. The trio looked at Conan confusingly when Ayumi broke off the silence, “What’s wrong, Conan-kun?” Genta then joined to continue the conversation as well as Mitsuhiko in order, “You’re like a dove that’s been shot by an air rifle.”, “Genta-kun, the correct one is a dove that was attacked by a bamboo stick.”

The trio looked at Conan when he asked a question, “Hey, you guys.. Does that mean.. We’re already in second grade of high school..?” The trio blinked multiple times in unison as they stared at Conan who then laughed at him while speaking together, “Of course! You’re so funny, Conan-kun!”

“No way… Then.. Why did you lie to me, Shinichi..? Why..?” Ran’s anger was ultimately brushed off by her overflowing tears that she couldn’t get it to stop, Sonoko walked towards Ran to comfort her while settling herself to sit on her right. Sera and Sonoko knew this might trigger Ran while watching these scenes together but she refused to leave once she found out the actual truth, and possibly asking Shinchi’s parents about his whereabouts after this ends.

“Really? I must’ve been dreaming! This dream started when Haibara called me.” Conan pinched his cheek to see if he was real or not, “This is not a dream?” He then quietly spoke while lowering his head down and his eyes wide open, “W-what’s going on..?”

He was interrupted by a familiar voice behind him which made him snap his thoughts up, Ai Haibara, “Hey, you’re blocking the way.”. Conan looked behind to see the aged up teenager and said, “Haibara!”. She didn't seem to mind when she called out her name, walked off to an empty seat in front of her, and began to read her book.

“Ai-chan? She’s a high schooler like us as well! That’s cool..!” The kids don't seem to mind the strange things that are happening but were too happy to see Haibara in her teenage years besides them.

Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko asked her a question and a statement in order, “Ai-chan, you’re not eating lunch? You could get sick later, you know? Even if you don’t diet, there’s still a lot of guys who like it. Conan appeared suddenly to nudge Haibara’s shoulder which made her look, “Haibara, can we talk..!” Haibara’s confused by his actions, “Wha–?” Conan then abruptly grabbed her way out of the room, “Just follow me!” Leaving the trio in confusion behind them inside the room.

Everyone stayed quiet, knowing the rest is about to show moments later.

They ran towards a group of trees where Conan pinned down Haibara against one of them, Conan began to speak once again, “What happened here? I already became Kudo Shinichi, why do I still stay as Conan?” His gestures changed as he pointed towards his heart, “Why do we suddenly go from being elementary school students to a second year high school students?”

Haibara straightened her posture and crossed her hands as she began to answer the boy’s panicked questions, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. But, I can tell you what happened in the last 10 years. About that Black Organization, we never managed to defeat it and we already have gone through elementary and middle school together..”

Everyone in the room gasped except the Kudo couple, Professor Agasa, Bourbon, and Vermouth. They now knew that Conan finally never got the antidote to return to his normal self as he began to experience his elementary, middle school and now a high schooler once again. Vermouth never expected this kind of moment to happen otherwise she and the others might’ve aged up completely 10 years prior to this incident.

Conan’s eyes blew wide, Haibara stated, “During that time, you’ve reinvented yourself over and over again with the APTX 4869 antidote I created. But in the end, it ends up forming immunity in your body. Finally, you cannot go back to your original body from 5 years ago.” Conan’s face widened in shock as his own face plastered on the screen.

“W-what..?” Whispers from everyone except the children started forming once again, seeing the actual truth regarding Kudo Shinichi’s disappearance and the sudden appearance made by the same teenager under a new identity, Edogawa Conan. The same boy that appeared on the day Shinichi disappeared, beyond a mere coincidence, turns out they’re the same person. Ran wants to get angry at Shinichi but she doesn’t have the courage at all since she remembered that Conan had swallowed the antidote without a water, then experiencing the same effects of the antidote the same way that Shinichi probably did.

Eri and Kogoro as well as the other adults couldn’t contain their concerns anymore, they now feel bad about what happened to this high school detective. They feared the worst as the next scene came rolling.

“You seem shocked, did you lose your memory because you didn't have lunch?”. Then the school bell rang, Haibara walked past Conan a few inches beside him before stopping in her tracks, leaving Conan shocked, “The second lesson begins, if you don’t feel too well, might as well go home.” She walked away from his sight while Conan mumbled, “Yeah.. I’ll go home..”

“Kudo-kun..” Sera lowered her head as she mumbled, she now began to think by 10 years later that her mother remained aging as a normal teenager like her as her adult self already approached, never finding out about her older brother being alive or dead. She started to think that the Kudo Shinichi, 10 years from now, might not exist anymore in Mouri Ran. Ran continued watching despite her continuous cries throughout the whole scene, Vermouth could only glance at her direction, “Angel..”

The scene cuts to a fully developed city of Tokyo, a car and a truck honking at a traffic, people walking on the sidewalks, then a reporter’s voice reporting news about a familiar person, “Our special guest this time is Detective Hattori Heiji.”

“HEIJI?! HATTORI-KUN?!” Sonoko, Kazuha, and Sera looked at the other Osakan detective on their left while Ran stared at him, seeing that he had also become a detective too. The officers were surprised to see that the son of the Superintendent Supervisor had become a fellow detective too.

Conan began walking on the sidewalk while lowering his head down as the reporter’s voice continued, “He has solved one of the most difficult cases in all of Japan. A few days ago, he founded a new detective agency. Looks like you’re busy, right?” Conan snapped out of his thoughts as he looked at the aged up teenager, Hattori Heiji on the screen with the reporter, “No… no.. no.. no..”

“Heiji?! T-that’s you?!” Kazuha stared at the aged up Hattori Heiji on the screen while the others saw how his appearance changed 10 years in time, Heiji could only stare at his future self silently as he began observing the way he acts.

The reporter asked a question, “Heiji, I heard you were nicknamed ‘The Lady Conqueror of Naniwa’, what’s your comment?” Heiji smiled as he answered the reporter’s question, “Isn’t that too excessive–?” Then a sudden voice interrupted behind him, the aged up teenager, Tooyama Kazuha, “What do you mean by ‘Conqueror of Women’? He’s just a dark tanned guy!”

“K-Kazuha-chan?!” Ran dried tears still lingered on her face as she swiftly turned to look at Kazuha who was wide open at her appearance as well 10 years later. Even Heiji was surprised that she hasn’t changed at all in a decade.

Conan snapped up as he watched the couple bicker in front of the livestream report, “Hey Kazuha! Don’t ever enter the camera like that without hesitation!” Heiji’s face dropped as Kazuha fired back a small argument while smirking, “What are you proud of? Have no dignity?” Heiji argued back, “What do you mean ‘No dignity’!?”

Conan stared at the teenagers’ that he knew of when he was shrunken while listening to their bickering on livestream, “Hattori? Kazuha?”. The screen cuts to them facing angrily right in front of their faces as the reporter cuts them off, “Sorry to interrupt, but when will both of you arrange your marriage?” This caught them off guard when Heiji and Kazuha looked back at the reporter who shoved her microphone towards them, “Marriage? M-M..Marriage..?”

Ran finally strengthened herself to be stronger as she finally teased the Osakan couple, “No dignity, Hattori-kun? And discussing marriage after that? What a cute couple..!” Sonoko and Sera snickered as they gave them stares, this made the Osakan teenagers embarrassed of their actions presented in front of the livestream, especially filmed directly in front of the citizens.

The scene cuts to Mouri Detective Agency once again where Conan stood, watching the agency from the ground, “This place hasn’t changed at all.” He began to walk back inside the agency when it showed a familiar aged up person, Suzuki Sonoko sitting down on the right side. Conan opened the door and then looked at Uncle Kogoro who was drinking his usual beers, “Look who’s here, you home early.” Conan looked at Uncle Kogoro as he remembered the way he acts, “Uncle clearly hasn’t changed a lot.” Sonoko looked back in Conan's direction and chuckled, which made Conan a little surprised, “Look at that naughty brat skipping school again, huh?”

“Sonoko?!”

“Sonoko?! That’s you in about 10 years?! You still managed to look the same!” Ran’s jaw dropped as she looked to her right, Sonoko still managed to make that opportunity, “Wow! I really became even more pretty in the future! Praying that all of the money and wealth goes through me in the future too!” Sonoko playfully prayed as a joke which made everyone stare at her in an amusing manner; Ran, Sera, Kazuha, and Heiji gave her a look before ignoring her remarks once again to look at the screen.

Heiji wonders if the speaker is tired of the sudden interruptions, I mean the speaker doesn’t seem to be angry and was just curious to know about their whole reactions to this specific video.

Sonoko then gestured to Conan a little, “It seems like I don’t think I’m the right person to scold you. Because I was lazy, I used to come home from school early too…” Her sentence was cut off abruptly by the uncle on her left, so she looked in his direction, “It’s nice to be the daughter of a rich family, you got the life you wanted..” Kogoro opened another can of beer as he drank it quickly, this made Sonoko argue at his problems with drinking beers, “Uncle drinks too much beer!”

“Oto-san… you never really changed this much, do I need to remind you to take care of your health?!” Ran looked back at her father who sat in the upper row where everyone can also be seen glancing back at the uncle. The Kudo couple gave him a small smile while Eri gave him a deep stare; Kogoro was terrified but he didn't dare to say anything else.

“Don’t be a fuss about it! Ah.. Ever since Yoko Okino retired and got married, I've gone crazy if I don’t drink.” Kogoro took a sip and cried while reminiscing the moments he probably dreamt of, “My tears..”. Sonoko and Conan looked at the uncle before Sonoko excused herself to get a beer too, “I’m going to drink a beer too, hehe.” Conan watched as Sonoko disappeared from his view and thought in his mind, “Those two.. They don’t seem to find my presence a bit strange.. Maybe I was already here for 10 years..” Conan sighed desperately as he thought again, “Did I really lose my memory?”

“Definitely you are, Kudo-kun.. Now I really wonder about this whole APTX 4869 and their antidotes.” Megure remarked quietly, the three officers listened as well as the FBI agents and the Black Organization members who heard his statement. Now Furuya Rei really wonders about himself whether he’s still in touch with Conan or Shinichi in the future, technically he couldn’t answer that; Vermouth probably thought the same as Bourbon too.

“By the way, about the marriage, it seems like Ran has made up her mind, yeah?” Conan stared at her while Kogoro questioned, “Made up her mind?!” Sonoko then answered his question, “Of course, she decided to get married, with Araide-sensei.” Kogoro spat the beer liquid while Conan was shocked that he stated, “Married?! Araide-sensei?!” Sonoko was confused with Conan’s expression when she suddenly asked him about it, “Why are you so surprised? Didn’t you already know about it?”

“N-no way you’re taking this seriously, Ran! It was definitely a joke–” Sonoko looked to her left at Ran who was staring at the screen before looking back at her, “No way! I would wait for him and still be with Shinichi for ten years!” The teenagers looked back at the screen to watch how Conan’s expression went wide as he listened to adult Sonoko’s statement about Ran’s marriage.

“Araide-sensei has proposed to her 2 years ago. But, Ran still believes that Shinichi will eventually come home…”

The scene shows a greyish flashback where Ran can be seen putting both of her hands on her chest while Sonoko continued, “And she waited all the time in their memorable place until Shinichi came home. Conan then asked her, “Memorable place? Then where is that place, Sonoko-neechan?” Sonoko then replied to Conan, “How would I know a place like that?” Sonoko drank her beer just in time when Conan had gone out from the agency while Kogoro watched him leave.

“Kudo.. don’t tell me you..” Heiji thought as he focused onto the screen, keeping his mind straight as he feared the worst was finally happening in front of his eyes, the same goes for the other teenagers and the adults.

Sonoko was a bit surprised when she heard the door crack closed. The scene then cuts to the Tokyo Red Tower from downwards, then to the interior of the tower where Cona can be seen running inside and stopped in his tracks, he looked to his surroundings then saw a couple looking at the camera together. Then a flashback happened where Ran can be seen looking at the camera to view the environment outside, she was then interrupted by a can of cold coke on her cheek which completely caught her off guard and sees Shinichi holding two cold cans of coke on his hands while grinning.

Shinichi gave one to Ran while the other for himself, Ran smiled and laughed; the flashback ends as Conan gritted his teeth while reminiscing the past that happened. He then snapped away from his thoughts and turned back to go somewhere, the Tropical Land.

“Are we really watching Shinichi-oniisan’s past or Conan-kun’s past..?” Ayumi started to get concerned about this whole scene. Mitsuhiko and Genta noticed that the professor had gone quiet ever since he said that Conan was gonna be okay, he wasn’t. Now the kids are finding out the truth amongst the people inside the auditorium.

The scene shows the evening day of multiple families gathered at the Tropical Land where Conan can be seen running at full speed, thinking about Ran. The flashbacks appeared again of his future girlfriend, Mouri Ran talking to him as Shinichi listened, the him observing the men in black trading illegal drugs, then Gin who struck him down with a metal pipe while Shinichi kept paying attention at the men in black, who was then swallowed an APTX 4869 forcefully by Gin himself; grabbing by his hair. He was then found as the kid himself by the police or also known as ‘Edogawa Conan’.

“Is that how he–?!” Sera broke the silence as she was shocked to know the truth now, followed by Ran, Kazuha, and Sonoko. The adults including the FBI agents, the members of the Black Organization and the fellow officers were shocked about the flashbacks shown on the screen. Eri and Kogoro looked briefly at the screen before looking back at the Kudo couple who still lowered their heads down and crossed their arms; the other couple looked back at the screen once again, seeing the moments fall apart.

Conan ran as he was so damn tired and then muttered, “Shit!” Then suddenly a highrise building appeared where three glasses of wine and a candle on the table could be seen; a fancy restaurant showed on the screen. Conan rushed inside the building where he looked to his right and remembered a flashback of him having dinner with Ran, happily talking together. He looked to his left and saw someone familiar, Ran..?

“That’s you, Ran?” Sonoko asked her best friend beside her to which Ran answered back, “No.. that’s not me… but it looks like me..”

Conan was relieved as he made his way to touch the unknown girl’s back and said, “Ran..!” The unfamiliar girl who looked like Ran looked back at Conan which caught Conan off guard from the resemblance, he then apologised about his sudden manner.

“Turns out you have another lookalike other than Kudo-kun, Ran-chan.” Kazuha remarked while looking at Ran’s direction; Ran looked at her and nodded at her statement whose girls began to pay attention on the screen once again.

That very night, Conan was walking back on the way home, the Kudo Mansion, when he saw the gate wide open as if someone had gotten inside. The screen went black for a little before Conan opened the front door. He looked upwards before looking down to see a pair of heels; he immediately thought of Ran, to which he smiled, “That’s Ran’s!”

The scene showed the interior of the Kudo Mansion’s library where a light upwards shone from the moonlight, a dark familiar figure can be seen standing. Conan opened the library’s door where he saw her, “Ran!” As he was about to turn on the lights, he heard Ran say, “Don’t turn on the lights.” This apparently made Conan stop in his tracks and was a little surprised about her manner. Ran finally talked once again as tears rolled down from her eyes, “I don’t want.. Conan-kun to see me crying again..”

“Ran-oneesan… Conan-kun..” Ayumi’s tears also rolled down from her eyes, watching the emotional moment on the screen. Ran was taken aback by her future self, crying her tears out; maybe the effect of Shinichi not coming back.

Conan was still a little surprised as he slowly realised what happened, he put his down to his usual standing pose as he watched Ran slowly wipe her tears away from her cheeks, still facing backwards. She turned to look back at Conan and smiled as her remaining tears shined by the moonlight, “This place is full of memories between Shinichi and me.” Conan realises that he had gone too far this late, seeing Ran emotional makes his heart ache and couldn’t do anything to prevent this happening. They stood a distance away from each other when Conan asked a question once again to confirm his thoughts, “Is it true.. That you’re getting married.. With Araide-sensei..?”

“C-Con– Shinichi…” Ran clenched her fists as this was happening, Sera and Sonoko couldn’t stay put together as they were about to say the same thing as Ran herself. They couldn’t believe that this was happening in front of their eyes. Heiji and Kazuha pretty sure would’ve done the same thing; might as well the kids too who are basically having the front row treatment.

Conan ran towards Ran as he begged her, “Don’t do that..! Don’t get married to each other!” Ran then looked at Conan and asked, “Why is that?” Conan stayed silent for a second before opening up to finally tell the truth, “Because I.. I’m going to feel sad.” Conan couldn’t stay put anymore as he took off his glasses and showed it to Ran, “Because.. I am Kudo Shinichi! So, please.. Never get married!”

“Shinichi..?! Kudo-kun?!” The whispers and the words suddenly blew up into a mindblowing truth where Edogawa Conan finally confessed the truth towards Ran that he is Kudo Shinichi. Inspector Megure, Eri, and Kogoro looked at the Yusaku and Yukiko who sighed at their son’s choice of words. They had no time to question them when another voice interrupted them from the screen.

Ran’s shock can be seen while trying to accept that Conan in front of her was, Kudo Shinichi..? Shinichi– Conan stared at her before shutting them tight. A set of books on the shelves showed Ran walking towards Conan, keeping her hands back while saying, “When you entered high school, you really do look like him.” Conan stared at her before interrupting her once again, "That's because.. I don’t look like him, but I am him!”

Ran finally answered this time in a tired voice, “Thank you, for trying to cheer me up.” Ran took Conan’s glasses from his left hand while Conan looked at her confusingly, he seems to know that she still doesn’t get his words either, “But, I’ve already made my choice, I’ve already waited for 10 years.” Ran helps out Conan by wearing his glasses onto his eyes, Conan stares and blinks at her while Ran continues to speak, “So, 10 years from now won’t be much of a problem, I will reject Araide-sensei's proposal tomorrow.” Conan’s face lit up in a small happiness.

Everyone stayed quiet as if they didn't have any other words to speak on except asking questions for Yusaku, Yukiko, Haibara, and maybe the professor as well.

Ran smiled at him, Conan was about to confess another sentence while Ran listened to him, “Ran, actually I…” Then he felt the immense pain from the antidote before, he clenched onto his chest where Ran started to get concerned of his wellbeing. Conan collapsed on the ground while Ran was confused and worried about him, she began to call out his name multiple times, “Conan-kun! Conan-kun?”. Conan felt that he was dying right in front of Ran, holding onto the harsh pain that the antidote gave out the side effects, “My body feels like it’s on fire! What the hell’s happening?!”

Then the screen went black.

Vermouth suddenly remembered it was definitely a dream, she suddenly thought of the antidote making Shinichi his way to the future, ten years later; “Silver Bullet, you really are special.” . While Jodie might’ve been the second one to remember that it was actually adream as well.

Conan woke up from his dream– or a nightmare that he experienced on the couch in the professor’s house while wearing his high school uniform. He trembled in fear and shock as he remembered every single detail that happened in the nightmare itself. Ai Haibara was sitting on the couch across from the boy, holding his watch and stated, “3 hours and 20 minutes, 20 hours faster than expected, it looks like this attempt has failed.” Conan glanced at Haibara’s direction as he finally gained his consciousness by listening to her words. Conan asked her a question, “So, you’ve been keeping an eye on the development of the drug?” Ai quickly answered his question, “Yeah, even if you managed to return to your original form.. You instead fainted and started having nightmares.”

“Ai-chan… Conan-kun.. All this time he was having a nightmare after taking that antidote?” Ayumi was the one who was being talkative throughout the scenes, she couldn’t stop asking questions. She heard a faint whisper coming from the professor which the boys might’ve not heard him say despite being only one seat away from him, “Yes..”

Flashback appeared again that shows Conan in his original body struggling to cooperate while Ai talked, “It causes you to hallucinate because your body temperature’s too high, although the antidote is actually quite effective.” Then it shows the white antidote of the APTX 4869, “But with your high body temperature, actually reverses the effect.” The flashback shows the present of Ai talking again to Conan, “But thanks to that, I got my hands on that new data.” Conan stared at her before giving up completely.

“Shinichi… Is there really a good way to tell me the truth for now, even in your shrunken body?” Ran thought for a small moment before laying her body on a complete rest against the soft chair.

“I’m tired…” Conan complained a little, saying that after he went through much pain and regret that he might have to wait for another 10 years but it seems impossible. He continued, “I’m going to go home and rest.”

The scene cuts back to Mouri Detective Agency where Conan was fast asleep with his heat towel resting on his forehead, Ran suddenly appeared beside his mattress when Conan opened up his eyes to see her, although his vision is blurry, he could make out the appearance of what it seemed to look like the teenager herself; Mouri Ran. “You’re awake? Sorry then..” Conan suddenly pushed the blanket away from him while also looking at Ran when Araide-sensei came inside the room with them, “Ran…neechan…”

Araide-sensei made a small noise which made Ran and Conan glanced at his direction, “It seems like you’re okay.” Conan then interrupted him, “Araide-sensei..” Then suddenly another teenager appeared standing on the doorway, “Thank goodness that there is Araide-sensei! After hearing your condition from Ran, he wanted to come over to check on you.” Conan was surprised to see the teenager he knew back to normal, “Sonoko..!neechan..”

“I have so many questions yet I don’t feel like asking one..” Takagi muttered under his breath, no one heard about his mutter, apparently he was relieved that no one seemed to hear his complaints.

“Conan-kun! We came here to visit! But… the place feels a bit dirty here..?” Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta took turns speaking before Kogoro interrupted Genta's curiosity, “Sorry if it’s dirty, besides this is my house!” Conan smiled lightly as he realised that his life was back to normal once again, “You guys..”

Araide-sensei checked Conan’s health and confirmed directly to him, “Your fever has gone down, you’re healthy now.” Conan quickly buttoned his clothes just as Ran was relieved to know he’s now okay, Kogoro asked a question regarding the boy’s sudden whereabouts that afternoon, “Oh yeah, where did you go that afternoon?” Conan glanced up towards Kogoro in his annoyed face while also stating his words once again, “I gave you your lunch but you suddenly disappeared.” Conan excused himself, “I– I just went to the toilet..” Kogoro wasn’t buying any of that, “Really? I thought you pretended to be sick and went outside to play.”

“You and your unstoppable reasonings for that boy, keep it going, Dear.” Eri crossed her hands while she declared out her intentions for her ‘husband’. “Oh.. eh.. I-it’s normal..” Kogoro muttered under his breath where the other couple on their right chuckled before focusing onto the screen once again.

“Of course not!” Ran and Araide-sensei glanced directly at Kogoro who was still not buying it at all before looking back at Conan, “What did I do that for?” Ran asked Conan again then glanced at her father, “That’s not possible, right? See? What did I say?” Kogoro tried to excuse himself, “But this is weird..”

Ran stood up from the ground and exclaimed happily, “Okay, I’ll be preparing dinner for everyone else here! How about you guys eat together too?” Sonoko, Mitsuhiko, Ayumi, Genta happily said yes while Araide-sensei and Conan smiled at her.

“Finally went back to the usual again, Ran-chan.” Sera announced to Ran that she shouldn’t worry about things anymore, which made Ran feel eased up a lot; the same goes for the other teenagers.

The scene showed a table filled with food that Ran had made for everyone else, showing the happiness felt by the children, the teenagers, and the adults around the tired Conan. As Conan was about to eat, he looked into the direction of the other kids and teenage Sonoko across the table from him. He smiled but saw something familiar; the same actions that they make but this time it was their high schooler version and adult Sonoko.

Conan realising that, shook his head and snapped out from his thoughts then shut his eyes for a second before opening up to see their original selves once more. Conan sighed heavily as Ran noticed his attitude changing, “What’s wrong, Conan-kun?” Conan snapped out of his thoughts again and just smiled as if he was fine, his thoughts can be heard inside the auditorium though, “For the first time, I felt relieved to be Conan.”

“The food’s really great.” Ran thanked him for the compliment of the food she made, Araide-sensei then complimented her cooking skills again, “It seems that you are good at cooking–” Then the scene cuts to Conan swiftly eating the food faster than any other human being will be.

Then the screen went black.

“Oh? It’s the end already? Man! That feels like we watched for hours!” Genta complained as he stood up from his seat, then the speaker appeared again.

“Close enough, little one. All of you have been watching this video for only 22 minutes and 14 seconds. Before you all leave, I’ll be erasing your memories before leaving this auditorium! Good luck continuing your normal lives once again.”

“Wait what! We haven’t asked them a question—” Eri pointed at the Kudo couple before anyone could see her pointing at the couple. Everyone’s visions went black and tired just as they were about to protest, they couldn’t do anything to stop the speaker from doing so. The Kudo couple and the professor felt relieved once the speaker knew what ‘they’ were doing. Everyone was gone from the auditorium the moment the ‘speaker’ erased their memories and let them continue their normal lives.

Something just doesn’t feel the same, does it? Let them stay curious for now.
