Memories of a Cute Aubrey
.
.
.
Aubrey is cute.
She has a cute pink bow.
She has long, fluffy hair.
She has lots of cute friends.
Aubrey is cute.
So why did she change?
The Aubrey I knew was cute.
The Aubrey I knew was more than cute.
Aubrey was super cute!
But then she grew up.
I don't know if I like the new Aubrey.
She's different from the Aubrey I knew.
How funny.
She's rebellious, not cute.
Her pink bow is now aquamarine.
She covers her brown eyes with contact lenses.
She dyed her long dark hair pink,
I guess that is the only cute thing left about her now.
Because now she carries a menacing bat everywhere.
Now she wears menacing clothes.
Now she has menacing friends.
Now she is menacing.
The new Aubrey is mean.
I miss the cute Aubrey.
It's like they're different people.
But can I blame her?
Aubrey has been through a lot.
She didn't lose her cuteness, the world ripped it away.
The world forced her to grow up too fast.
Poor Aubrey, she could still be cute.
She couldn't handle the pain, so she became menacing.
But despite everything, she's still Aubrey.
She still has a bow, just a different color.
She dyed her hair pink, like she promised Mari she would.
She still cares alot about her old friends,
even if she doesn't show it very well.
She still thinks about the old days, the time when she was cute.
A time she misses every day.
A time when she had a cute pink bow.
A time when she had long, fluffy black hair.
A time when she had lots of cute friends.
A time when Mari was alive.
A time that passed and became a memory, a little girl's memory.
But can I tell you a secret?
I think deep down Aubrey is still cute.
