"God why are you always so stuck up!" Isagi yelled at Rin pissed off at him. They've been arguing like this for an hour because Rin sprained his ankle and swore he was fine to walk on it and pushed Isagi away to then immediately fall to the ground and make it worse. Still he refuses the help Isagi is kindly offering.
"Shut up you useless lukewarm" Rin countered back then stood up with Hiori's help and walked away. Isagi was furious at the scene why did Rin so willingly let Hiori help but not him? He stormed off angry and vented to Bachira about the interaction.
"You know you shouldn't treat Isagi so badly if you want him to like you back" Hiori suggested to Rin hesitantly while helping him to his dorm. Hiori was one of the only people Rin let in even since the S*e incident happened, he was the only person who knew about Rin's crush on Isagi but him being the tsundere he is never admits it and instead picks fights with Isagi.
"What makes you think I care what he perceives me as" Rin scoffs but his hand twitch and Hiori knew he hit in a sensitive spot.
They finally got to the dorms and Rin fell asleep on the couch so Hiori left. In Rin's dreams Isagi was there and like normal they were fighting but this time Isagi had enough and abandoned Rin just like S*e had all those years ago. He woke up in the morning breathing heavy and clutching his chest through his shirt but why did it feel different than last nights shirt..?
Rin thought he was imagining it until he went to the bathroom to wash his face, he looked in the mirror and saw Isagi?! Why did he have Isagi's face? Is he still dreaming? He pinched his arm and winced, okay not dreaming.
He picked up his phone or Isagi's phone and called himself, cute Isagi had him saved as "Rin Rin ♡" wait what?! Before he could process the contact name Isagi picked up. "What do you want now asshole" Yikes maybe he DID go too hard last time.
"Have you looked in the mirror" Rin asked weird hearing his own voice talk to him the way Isagi does. he heard Isagi's panicked "what?!" and knew he just saw the issue.
"What do we do?!" Isagi asked louder than normal since he's panicking and Rin just calmly said to go to his place in an hour to figure this out.
The hour passes faster than expected and now they're face to face or facing themselves? They sit at Isagi's couch and start trying to come up with solutions that don't work and end up fighting again. Rin wasn't even paying attention to Isagi's yelling he was so mad he was debating making out with him to keep him quiet…WHAT, okay Isagi's body definitely isn't good for him he's been feeling so tense and energetic all morning.
"Are you even listening to me?!" Isagi yells and Rin finally registers the fact he was still talking, hesitanted, then shook his head.
"Your body feels weird extra energy into things i don't normally think of" Rin admitted then looked away from embarrassment his ears pink. Why was he so easily flustered? All he wanted was to go back to his own body and apologize to whatever god he offended for this to happen.
"What are you even talking about? YOUR body is the weird one I feel anxious with how angry it is"
"Why do you think i meditate" Rin shoots back almost instantly. Isagi thinks he could kill him, maybe kiss him fist then kill him.
"What are you looking at" Rin blurts out after a bit since Isagi was staring at him.
"We should kiss"
"Are you insane?!" Rin practically jumps in surprise pretending to hate it so he doesn't have to admit how much he wants it but Isagi's body betrays him and makes him blush.
Before Isagi could second guess himself he kissed Rin, or technically himself? he kissed Rin in his body. Rin tensed up then slowly relaxed into the kiss, when they finally break for air they were back in their own bodies. Rin let out a relieved sigh then his ears turned pink remembering the kiss but he hid it by pushing Isagi away.
"Rin we need to talk about th-"
"No we don't" Rin cut him off before he could finish and just ran out. He went straight to Hiori's place and waited for him to open the door feeling like he couldn't breathe. Hiori opened the door and saw the state Rin was in and quickly brought him inside and sat him down.
"Tell me everything" Hiori said the second he got Rin to calm down. Rin explained what happened with Isagi and how he panicked and ran after their kiss. Hiori sighed and gently hugged Rin who tensed up before relaxing into the hug shoulders shaking like he was about to break.
"Rin you need to talk to him"
"But what if he hates me?"
"Rin"
"I can't" Hiori sighed and let go of Rin who then looked up at him.
"Rin you need to talk to him, go back to his place right now and talk it out before he ends up getting with someone else" Rin nodded then reluctantly walked out and went back to Isagi's place letting himself in since Isagi hadn't locked his door.
"Your door is unlocked" Rin said before spotting Isagi crying on his couch, Rin froze not expecting it then hesitantly approached and sat next to him. Isagi noticed him and looked up before quickly wiping his face.
"What do you want now" Isagi said trying his best to sound angry but his voice broke when he said want.
"You" Rin said his face neutral like normal but his hand twitched as if wanting to wipe his tears away.
Isagi laughed then grabbed Rin's hand and put it against his cheek for him. "Idiot why did you run?"
"Because I was scared of what this makes us" Rin answered honestly for once then hesitantly wiped the remaining tears on Isagi's face away with his thumb.
Isagi leaned into the touch then glanced up at him. "Rin kiss me" Rin's ears turned pink but he did as told kissing him hesitantly and inexperienced because Isagi is his first. Isagi melted into it and they kissed for a while lost in each other until Hiori called Rin to ask if he was okay and how it went, they broke the kiss then Rin declined the call texted him that he'd update him late and then hugged Isagi.
"…Thank you" Rin mumbled quietly hiding in Isagi's neck embarrassed about how vulnerable he was being. Isagi chuckled and kissed his forehead.
That night Rin stayed over and they watched movies in a blanket fort eventually falling asleep in each other's arms. In the morning they'd have to explain what happened to everyone but for now they had each other and that was enough.
