Chapter Text
Amy danced around her living room in her small one-story house in Green Hill. It was down the road from Sonic's and Tails' house as well as not as far from the city that the rest of her friends live in. She had just gotten a new record of an old classic group she used to listen to, that she had found while thrifting. She was on the B-side dancing to the second song, when she heard someone come in through the back door. Distracted by dancing, she didn't greet them as she turned around, continuing to dance. Opening her eyes, she came face-to-face with Metal Sonic.
From the second he entered her yard, she could hear the clanking of his metal. She smiles as she beckoned him to come dance with her as she sang the lyrics to the song. He came closer, taking her outstretched hand. Once she had his hand, she placed it on her waist, forcing him to move with her. He stared with his deep red eyes, following her lead, but as the song continued, he soon understood the rhythm and began mixing in other dance moves he had learned from her.
He spun her around, reeling her in close and even picking her up and swinging her around. As the song ended, Amy kissed his cold metal face, where she expected his lips to be. He blushed as the sound of steam being released was heard, making her giggle as she knew he was overheating. Pulling away from the kiss, she smiled at him.
Just then, the sound of something falling echoed through the house, causing both Amy and Metal to look toward the sound. That's when they saw him, Sonic the hedgehog. He stood at the front door, seeming to have just came in. His mouth was opened wide as he stared at the two, his hand still in the position of holding something. It had been her watch that she had left for Tails to fix.
"SONIC??" Amy said, full of surprise.
Sonic didn't know about her dating Metal; no one did. She has been dating Metal for a few months now, but because of the ongoing battles and being on two different sides, Amy didn't know how her friends would take it. Especially when it was Metal, she was dating. He was Sonic's biggest rival, and yeah, he has done a lot of bad things, but he had his reasons, maybe not good ones, but reasons still.
She stood next to Metal as they both watched Sonic, who stared between the two but said nothing, let alone moved. Then slowly Sonic bent down, grabbing the watch, still staring between the two, before slowly walking out the door, closing it behind him. Amy and Metal said nothing except exchange a look. The door then slowly opened, and Sonic looked back in, slowly looking between Amy and Metal before closing the door again. He did this again, but this time, Amy finally said something.
"Sonic?" she said, a hit of questioning in her tone. That’s when Sonic stopped, standing still again before suddenly rushing over and grabbing Amy's face.
"AMY, WHAT IS GOING ON? ARE YOU DATING METAL SONIC?" Sonic said, looking deep into Amy's eyes.
"Well…yes," Amy said.
"AMY, HE'S ONE OF OUR RIVALS," Sonic said. As he did, Metal took a step closer, going to grab Amy and free her from his hold. "DON’T YOU TAKE ANOTHER STEP CLOSER, BUDDY, " Sonic said, turning to Metal for a second before looking back at Amy.
"Sonic, he's not as bad as you think; we can just sit down, and I'll explain everything," Amy said, grabbing Sonic's hand and pulling him to the living room chair.
"I don’t know about that, Amy; he has done a lot of bad things," Sonic said, his expression shifting to imply that some of what Metal has done is out there.
Once Sonic was sitting, Amy went to sit on the couch when Metal walked up, pointing to the door. "Yeah, it's probably for the best." She said as Metal gave her a kiss.
"Wait, he can't leave," Sonic said, still needing to get a hand on the situation.
"Fine, Metal can sit here," Amy said, patting the seat next to her, but as Metal went to sit down, Sonic got up and took that seat, giving a glare to Metal, who rolled his eyes before sitting in the recliner.
"Ok, Sonic…"
