Kaworu and Shinji have been together only a few weeks, they were in the awkward phase of any teenage relationship, the most they'd done was cuddle while watching a movie or something, the action always earnt a over exaggerated gag from Asuka.
Tonight was a little bit different. They were on the beach together, watching the sunset. At first Shinji was hesitant to get closer to Kaworu, something about them both being boys, humans were so silly with their imaginary rules. Luckily for Kaworu, Shinji seems to have forgotten the ‘rules’ resting their head on the other boy's shoulder.
They were both enjoying themselves being able to spend time, without Misato and/or asuka bothering them. The girls always had something to say about their relationship didn't they?
Kaworu wasn't too sure how his partner dealt with them, they seemed very…eh just alot. He'd never say it aloud; he knows it'd be rude.
The white haired boy continues to think about random things of no importance as he absent mindedly runs his finger through Shinji's hair.
He knew Shinji loved physical touch. It might have to do with the lack of it he experienced as a child, but he'd never actually ask. He understood it was a sensitive subject for them.
His priority was making sure Shinji was always happy and comfortable.
“Youre very handsome Shinji.” Kawrou states in his usual calm and charismatic voice.
He felt the compliment would be appropriate considering they were already being all lovey dovey and cuddled up.
The brunette flushed red as soon as the words landed onto his ears. No matter how many compliments and kind gestures he'd received from their boyfriend they'd always get all flustered. Kaworu quite enjoyed it. If Shinji had become desensitized to the affection it won't be nearly as fun.
“Ah..thank you” Shinji mumbles. His face is still red and hot
Kaworu had picked up on how awkward shinji really was the day they'd met. It was a big contrast to his own charismatic self. He wasn't too sure why humans found the way he acted so attractive, he much preferred people who got all shy at the smallest act of affection.
The duo sit in a comfortable silence listening to the soft noise of the waves crashing against the shore. Shinji wore a small smile on his face looking up at the sunset. The sky was almost red, such a pretty color.
Suddenly Kaworu realizes something, he and Shinji had never kissed. He was still looking down at his partner who'd noticeably calmed down. His face was no longer red and was lit up beautifully by the rays from the sun.
“Shinji? Would you like to kiss?” Kaworu asks rather bluntly
as he expected Shinji's face almost immediately heats at the question. The white haired boy doesn't really understand why, kissing was something couples do, and they're a couple.
“What!” Shinji's voice is a bit louder than he meant for it to be. The brunette covers his face in embarrassment. He lowers his hands and glances around making sure there's no one around before continuing “i ..um yeah.. I'd like to.” they mumble.
This was the reaction Kaworu had expected, but he didn't really expect Shinji to agree to a kiss. They got super flustered at the mention of kissing. He definitely wasn't against kissing his boyfriend, like all! He enjoyed doing anything with his partner that made them happy
“How are we going about this?” Shinji mumbles his question, his head no longer on Kaworu's shoulder as they're now looking at Kaworu.
“I'll kiss you Shinji.” Kaworu states. he understands the other doesn't enjoy making the first move, and they get extremely nervous whenever they have to, that's why Kaworu has always made an effort to initiate affection.
He knows alot about the other boy, he was very observant. He knows the other boy has a habit of running away from conflict, well most people know that about him. It's one of his biggest flaws. He also knows about Shinji's craving for approval even if he won't admit it, he wants to know people are proud of him.
Shinji gives a small nod, and Kaworu gently presses a kiss to the brunette's lips. They're both unsure of what they're doing, this is the first time either of them have kissed anyone before, so it's incredibly stiff.
Kaworu pulls away and opens his eyes to look at his incredibly red boyfriend. He gently brings his hand that was resting on his own leg to the top of the brunette's head, gently patting his hair .
“Sorry..i dont know what to do ive never kissed anyone, sorry.” Shinji apologizes a sheepish look on his face. He has a habit of over apologizing. Kaworu never understood why, it's not like he was doing anything wrong.
“Um what now?” the brunette asks, looking at the boy next to him. he speaks with an unsure look on his face
Kaworu loves the way Shinji asks him for guidance when he dosent know what to do.
"whatever you want Shinji"
