Work Text:
When Booker turned up, he looked really upset about something.
Joe: "You look angry. You need a hug, Book."
Booker: "No, Joe, I don't want a hug."
Joe gets up, and Booker takes a step backwards.
Joe: "Don't fight it. It'll make you feel better."
Booker tries to get away from Joe, but Joe is faster and catches Booker so he can hug him.
Booker: "Now that you have hugged me, would you mind letting go now?"
Joe: "Are you feeling better?"
Booker: "No."
Joe: "Then the hug hasn't started working yet."
Joe hugs Booker even tighter than before. Booker rolls his eyes and looks at Nicky.
Booker: "Nicky, unless you want your husband to have a fatal accident, please remove him from my body."
Nicky smiles and gets up before he leaves the kitchen.
Booker: "I mean it."
Nicky pops his head through the doorway.
Nicky: "The more you fight the hug, the more he will hug you. So, the sooner you surrender, the sooner you will be a free man."
Booker: "You do know you are no help, right?"
Nicky: "Si. Enjoy your hug, Book."
Nicky leaves the kitchen again.
Booker: "Nicky, get back here, now."
Nicky doesn't return this time, so Booker is left at Joe's mercy or hugs if you want.
