Zelda's Personnel Notes: Vol 1

Summary:

I wanted a way to get all my LU headcanons out of my head and into writing, without just rambling on a page. So I did this to go along side the main fic I'm writing and any possible future ones.
It's basically just Zelda being a bit silly and possibly a bit neurodivergent and writing little summaries of all the heroes.

Notes:

Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

Ever since I got back from my little trip into the past, I’ve been tirelessly researching all I can about Hyrule’s history. Not just past calamities and Zonai history, but even further back than that. There are remnants of the old world spread all throughout Hyrule, bridges and landmarks named after ancient figures, recreations of ancient weapons and countless stories of the heroes of old, who each fought their own evils. It fascinates me, how stories of these heroes of legend could’ve lasted so long, outliving multiple civilisations and still being told thousands of years later. So you can imagine my surprise, and even more so my delight when Link Wild turned up at my door, having gone missing for two weeks, with no less than eight of these ancient heroes in tow. Eight of them!

I could hardly contain myself. But as it turns out, the old stories and descriptions of these heroes were….innacurate, to say the least. Not to a tremendous degree, but a couple thousand years is enough to warp the reality of their deeds and lives. One thing which really stood out to me was just how odd they are. Hylia knows Wild is a bit of a menace at times, and does some things which quite frankly boggle the mind, but he’s my menace. Perhaps I’ve gotten too used to his odd qualities.

But these fellows are strange. I suppose that’s to be expected after all, they are all Hylians, and have all dealt with evils of their own, and they’re all traumatised to no end. So I guess they’re allowed to be a bit strange.

Tangents aside, in these personnel notes, I hope to capture the life and deeds of these strange heroes, and bring to light their personalities, flaws, ambitions and whatever else jumps out at me, so that future generations can remember these heroes for who they were, and have an accurate depiction of their deeds.

I mustn't tell Link Wild that I’m doing one on him too though….
