Chapter Text
Jungkook took a deep breath as he gingerly shut the door to his room. He toed off his shoes and padded over to his bed, all while shrugging off his jacket and throwing it somewhere across the room to be picked up at a later date. When he sat down on his cushiony bed, all of the air left his lungs in a shaky exhale, and a small whimper escaped. The whimper turned into a groan and he threw himself onto his back. The way his head bounced off of the mattress was dizzying, but Jungkook would take that over the constricting feeling in his chest any other day.
The dull ache in his chest caused Jungkook to squirm a little, as if the feeling was causing actual pain. In a way, it was. It made breathing hard to accomplish.
Jungkook knew that he could temporarily fix the problem. All he had to do was take a few deep breaths and focus on something else other than exams, business, parents, socializing - I can’t do it.
But at the same time, it felt impossible to do so. It was almost masochistic in a way, with how Jungkook kept torturing himself with thoughts of the future. Contemplating on how he was sure he was going to let somebody down did nothing but cause his anxiety to spike, caused his breath to quicken into quiet gasps and huffs.
Recognizing the anxiety attack for what it was, Jungkook fished his phone out of his pocket and unlocked it after a few attempts at putting the password in. He needed a distraction.
And yet, as he was scrolling and switching through different social media sites and tapping his way through the games he had downloaded, it didn’t help. Usually his phone would do the job, but not this time around.
Most of the time Jungkook could just go through the Twitter of his favorite bands or maybe play a few infuriating rounds of Crossy Road, but the only thing this caused was Jungkook’s guilt increasing.
What’s wrong with me? I need to be studying so I can graduate. My parents need me to help, and here I am, playing around.
His thoughts continued to circulate around his mind until Jungkook was absentmindedly staring at his phone as a video he was paying no attention to played. It was a new song that had come out earlier that day, and when he’d seen the notification hours earlier, he had been elated. By the time he caught himself and snapped out of his thoughts, the video had already ended.
Jungkook suddenly didn’t feel like watching it anymore.
He let out another frustrated groan and tossed his phone onto the other side of his bed. With the small handheld device out of his direct line of sight, Jungkook was left with staring up at the ceiling.
As memories from just a short time ago continued to flit about his mind, tears gathered in the corners of his eyes. He recalled perfectly well how his teacher had approached him after class, how he’d told him to remain until all of the students in the room had left. Jungkook remembered that look of disappointment on the teacher’s face as he told Jungkook that his grades were beginning to slip.
It happened to everybody, of course. At some point grades would lower, but it didn’t help Jungkook’s consciousness any. He remembered how, when he’d arrived home, his mother had fixed him with her own disappointed look. Apparently the teacher had taken matter into his own hands and informed his mother and had suggested tutoring sessions.
His mother had looked disgusted, and his father, who always greeted him in passing, was nowhere to be seen.
Jungkook rolled over onto his side, not bothering to focus on in anything in front of him. He’d heard of the saying ‘ You can’t please everybody ’, but today, the saying felt a little backwards.
“No, I can’t please anybody,” Jungkook whispered to himself. The words were more of a rush of air than they were vocalized. “Not like I used to be able to.”
Jungkook found himself silently yearning for his preteen years, where he really had been able to satisfy everybody. The child that Jungkook had been was smart, he was dedicated and a problem solver and everything that Jungkook no longer felt that he was.
It feels as if his period of excellence was over, and he was no longer Golden Jungkook. Now, he was just tired. And he wants out. He doesn’t want to do this anymore, doesn’t want to disappoint anybody else like he knows he will, even if it’s sooner rather than later.
Jungkook closes his eyes, gradually lulled by his emotions of defeat.
The next time Jungkook wakes up, he’s confused to see that it’s still nighttime. The sun looked to be hours away from rising. So why was he awake?
He rolled over onto his back as he did a mental check. No, he wasn’t thirsty, and he didn’t need to use the bathroom. He hadn’t had a nightmare. In fact, he hadn’t dreamt at all, and it was a nice reprieve from the usually confusing flashes of delirium.
Dumbfounded, Jungkook is startled when he hears an odd tapping sound, and his eyes immediately trace the sound of the noise to the window. From where he is, he can see the silhouette of a person, and his confusion spikes. After blinking a few times to ensure that he isn’t seeing things, Jungkook hesitantly climbs out of bed.
He has absolutely no idea how the person is standing where they are. It makes no sense, because Jungkook knows for a fact that he’s up on the second story of the large house his parents own, and there’s no tree around this side of the house that’s close enough for somebody to scale and reach the window with.
Jungkook is more than a little hesitant (and certain that he’s dreaming) to open the curtains concealing the window and his nighttime visitor, but the quiet and almost timid tapping is enough to convince him to jerk open the curtains in a rush.
It seems that yanking the curtains back as he did was a mistake, because both he and the stranger are startled. For a few seconds they’re both frozen in place, and Jungkook unconsciously takes advantage of the moment to study the stranger standing in his window and clearly seeking entrance.
His first assumption is that the stranger is a thief, but he almost immediately dismisses the theory. The man in front of him is dressed far too ridiculously for that, and even his soft features persuade Jungkook to trust him. Dressed in a wild array of the cooler colors and shades, from silver to blue to purple, the black-haired man with naturally narrowed eyes and plump lips, soft cheeks and a button-nose, is very disarming. He looks like he can’t be any more than twenty, not when his youthful eyes are wide in pleading and curiosity and his gaze directed at Jungkook. Not when his mouth is parted in an ‘o’ of surprise, and he looks the tiniest bit apologetic when he seems to realize that he’d interrupted Jungkook’s sleeping time.
Maybe it’s for those reasons that Jungkook finds himself reaching forward and unlatching the lock to the window, granting the stranger admittance. Or maybe it’s because Jungkook doesn’t want to be semi-responsible for somebody’s death because he didn’t let them in on time. Once Jungkook’s out of the way, Jimin pushes past the windowsill and lands on the floor with only a small tap that Jungkook immediately finds illogical. How could he land so silently when jumping down like that? Why was he worrying over something silly like that when he has a much bigger problem on his hands?
“Who are you?” Jungkook demands, “And how did you even get up here?” Because while the stranger’s oddly silent landing could be dismissed, this could not be. He once again studies the man in front of him, and a small part of him is concerned when he realizes that if he hadn’t woken up, the stranger would have had a hard time getting back down.
It’s also then that Jungkook realizes his stupidity, and it’s hard to resist the urge to shove the man back out of the window. He wouldn’t be blamed if he fell, right? This is technically trespassing. Just because the stranger was oddly dressed and looked like he was incapable of hurting a fly didn’t mean the man couldn’t pull a knife out of nowhere and put it to good use.
“Oh, right. I’m Park Jimin,” The man smiled uncertainly, “And… I flew up here.”
“You flew.” Jungkook repeated in a flat tone. He shook his head and looked wantonly back at his bed, convinced that he was hearing things and that he really needed to get back to sleep.
“Yes!” Jimin confirmed with an exuberant nod, and Jungkook found himself a little endeared despite himself. But wait. Was this stranger actually claiming to have flown? Jungkook wasn’t hearing things, after all? Maybe he was seeing things.
His moment of endearment over, Jungkook snorted. “Right, of course. You flew. And why exactly did you fly here, to my house? I don’t even know you. If I wanted to I could call this trespassing and call the police to arrest you.” Jungkook supposed he could play along with the ‘flying’, but that in no way excused the fact that there was a potential murderer-slash-thief-slash-rapist in his room.
Why wasn’t Jungkook more concerned? Really, he had no idea. He liked to blame it on the generic excuse of him having ‘no more fucks to give’.
Jimin’s lower lip stuck out in a pout and his eyebrows furrowed. “You don’t believe me.”
“Why would I? Nobody can fly, don’t be stupid.” Jungkook rolled his eyes. Was he really expected to believe this? “And you didn’t answer my question.” Maybe he should take back his sentiment of not having any fucks to give and pitch a loud enough fit for his parents to hear and come rescue him. Was it too late to shove Jimin back out of the window?
Jimin’s pout intensified slightly at the rudeness, but he let it slip. “I’m here to take you with me. That is, if you want to, of course. I can’t force you into it.”
“Take me where? To some sort of everlasting paradise? Kid, go home, you must’ve gotten hold of some strong shit.” Jungkook sighed and nudged Jimin back towards the window before he realized the idiocy of his own actions. If he pushed Jimin out of the window, he would certainly be committing a form of murder. Jungkook couldn’t blame it out of self-defense, either. He was a little surprised that Jimin looked ready to comply, but shook his head and instead shoved him towards the door. As long as Jimin was out of his room, Jungkook didn’t really care where the kid went.
“I’m older than you!” Jimin sniffed irritably as he moved to the side, away from Jungkook’s ushering. “And yes, that’s exactly what it is!”
Jungkook paused in disbelief and stared down at Jimin. “There’s no way you’re older than me.”
“I’m twenty-one, you brat!” Jimin glared halfheartedly at Jungkook. His eyes realized when he remembered that he’d gotten off topic and took a step forward. “And that’s not the point! You’re in distress, right? I can take you to Neverland. It really is a paradise!”
“Oh my god…” Jungkook breathed, and Jimin’s face lit up hopefully, only to scrunch up in agitation. “You really are on some heavy stuff. That’s it, you need to go home. Come on.”
Jimin wasn’t quick enough to escape Jungkook’s grip as he was grabbed by the wrist and more or less dragged to the door. He panicked and began whacking uselessly at Jungkook’s back with no real strength put behind the hits. “Wait, wait! Stop! I’ll prove it, just stop!”
He nearly ran into Jungkook when the other came to a sudden halt, and he blinked innocently up at the younger. When Jungkook simply stared at him, Jimin fidgeted anxiously. “What?”
“Well? You said you were going to prove it.” Jungkook frowned at Jimin. He had to fight back a small smile when Jimin’s face lit up once again, though this time it was in joy. Jungkook really needed to stop letting some oddball stranger who still might want to kill/rob/molest him affect him and talk him into something that was completely irrational.
Jimin freed his wrist and began to pat down his clothes, in search of something. Unconsciously, Jungkook tensed up and watched cautiously on the chance that he was about to be jumped. Once Jimin located what he was looking for, he pulled a leather pouch out of a pocket in his pants and held it up to Jungkook as if to either offer it or show it off.
Jungkook assumed it was the latter and stared blankly between the pouch and Jimin. “Okay…? What’s so special about a pouch?”
Jimin rolled his eyes and smiled. He retracted his hands and opened the pouch before once again showing Jungkook. “It’s fairy dust, see? It helps you fly.”
“It’s sand.” Jungkook sighed. Why was this happening to him? He could be sleeping peacefully still, but no. He was dealing with somebody that either needed a psychologist or three or was doped up on something that Jungkook would love to have a share in if it made one person so loopy, and Jungkook wasn’t the kind of person to do anything of the sort. Maybe the ‘fairy dust’ was the substance in question? It didn’t look like anything smokable, though...
“No,” Jimin insisted stubbornly. He plucked some out with his fingertips and threw a cloud of it at Jungkook. The substance covered everything that had between them, from Jimin to the jacket he’d thrown earlier, to Jungkook himself. “It’s fairy dust!”
Jungkook sputtered and coughed as he ended up inhaling some of the so-called fairy dust and covered his lower face with his hand. It was definitely not a kind of drug. “What the hell?! What’s wrong with you?!” He demanded in a hoarse voice.
“Wait for it.” Jimin smiled unapologetically. Jungkook would most definitely not wait.
Jungkook scowled him and opened his mouth, probably with the intent of saying some very strong choice words, but froze when his eyes caught sight of his jacket. It was currently floating in front of his face and appeared almost luminescent in the near-darkness.
“See? It lets anything float!” Jimin enthusiastically restated.
“S-so it does…” Jungkook agreed weakly. It was hard to argue when the evidence was right in front of his eyes. He briefly considered the possibility that perhaps the golden-looking substance really was some kind of drug.
“And now, for the best part.” Jimin spread his arms dramatically. Jungkook didn’t get to question why, though, because just like the jacket, Jimin was gracefully lifted into the air. And next thing Jungkook was aware of, he was also floating. “You can fly!” Jimin cooed gleefully.
“I can fly.” Jungkook repeated in a squeak. He was more or less shell-shocked, and it took more than a few seconds for it to register that, yes, this is the real deal and, yes, he is actually flying. He flailed around uselessly for a few seconds while he tried to get adjusted to the new development, but that seemed to make things worse and had him slowly drifting up towards the ceiling. He let out a low distressed whine. Jungkook missed the ground already.
Jimin giggled and effortlessly flew up to Jungkook and offered his hand, which Jungkook immediately latched on to. “So? Do you want to come?”
What’s the worst that could happen? Other than him flying up and into the sun. If it could get him away from everything, then… “Okay. I’ll go.” Jungkook agreed quietly. “But do I have to keep flying?”
Jimin shook his head and beamed. “No, it’s only temporary. But you’ll get used to it in a minute! It’s fun, I promise. But come on! Let’s go!” He gently led a terrified Jungkook to the window and out through it.
If Jungkook thought flying in his room was scary, then flying two stories above ground level was enough to cause his heart to skip a beat or two. At this he wailed and clung to Jimin’s middle, not trusting himself to not fall to his death. He didn’t quite trust Jimin either, but at least the shorter seemed to know what he was doing. He was suddenly beginning to rethink his choices.
But it seems to be too late, because Jimin was already leading him away through the skies to some unforeseeable destination, all while laughing sympathetically at Jungkook’s misery.
True to Jimin’s promise, Jungkook had soon adjusted to the new experience, and was flying with ease. Jimin led him for a questionable amount of time through the skies, and Jungkook would be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy it. At some point they’d risen up above some clouds, and Jungkook was gifted with the most beautiful sight of the sky. The clouds ended up blocking out the light pollution from the cities, so from here, this high up, he could see the stars twinkling softly in different sizes, and the moon seemed to bathe the whole sky in a gentle, pure light.
Jungkook found himself breathless, and when he looked at Jimin, he could tell that the other felt the same. Their gazes met then, and they shared smiles in the privacy of the sky.
Jungkook was just beginning to feel wore out from the flying when Jimin began to lead him down. By then the sky had been pierced with the sun’s first rays, and it was rapidly changing from nighttime to morning.
When Jungkook was led dutifully back through another set of clouds, it was a whole other experience to see the scenery that lay beneath him.
The land looked almost untouched. There were no industrial buildings, no cars noisily driving around, no thousands of people shoving and squeezing through each other carelessly. The only signs that the island was inhabited was by the historical-looking ships and the campsites set up that he could immediately spot. He saw only a few dozen people milling about, and from this distance he could see most of them enjoying the morning and basking in the warmth of the sun.
Fortunately, they landed with no trouble, and Jungkook was yet again being led along the sand until they came across one of the several campsites that littered the island. Jimin paused for a few seconds while he looked around contemplatively before he suddenly grinned when he spotted his target.
“Hoseok~!” Jimin called loudly. He easily ignored the multiple stares his shout garnered and hopped a few times, waving his hands unnecessarily in the air to catch the attention of the person he’d been calling for. It clearly worked, because he could see somebody jogging leisurely towards them even before Jimin had started flailing. Jungkook uneasily looked around to see if the few people that were around were staring, and he was relieved to see that they’d already turned back away and were minding their own business.
“Jiminniieeee!!” Hoseok returned dramatically. Once he got close enough, he barreled into Jimin, only sparing him from falling into the sand by wrapping his arms around him in a hug. Jungkook flinched in surprise and had to hold back the urge to laugh when he heard a series of squeaks coming from Jimin, who looked like he was completely overwhelmed by the taller man.
“Stop, stop!” Jimin laughed as the assault on him continued, and he was able to pry away after a few seconds of struggling. He was grinning widely when he turned back to Jungkook, and Jungkook couldn’t resist hesitantly returning it. “Seokseok, I brought a new friend. His name is Jungkook.”
“Nice to meet you! Welcome to Neverland. I’m Jung Hoseok, your personal tour guide!” Hoseok grinned proudly at his own joke and jabbed a thumb into his chest.
“Jeon Jungkook. And thank you.” Jungkook smiled timidly. He took a step back, a little intimidated when both Hoseok and Jimin cooed at him with unintelligible squeals.
“Cutie! So cute, my Jungkookie!” Jimin pressed his palms against his cheeks and shook his head.
Hoseok nodded fervently in agreement. “Definitely a keeper. Oh my god, my heart…!” He rose a hand to his chest.
“Um…?” Jungkook was at a loss for words. Was this normal? It’s been awhile since he’d been doted on to this degree, and he found himself more than a little thrown off. It would have been nostalgic if it had been older aunties and family friends who were babying him instead of two grown men, who were just a few years older than him.
Jimin blinked owlishly and smiled apologetically. “Sorry, sorry. Hoseok, can we show him around? He needs to know where everything is.” He turned his head to look at Hoseok.
“Of course! We can’t just drop him off and leave him by himself. The poor baby would die from starvation and loneliness!” Hoseok insisted. Jungkook would have been a little more insulted if Hoseok hadn’t sounded so genuine about it. Either way, Jungkook couldn’t hide the grimace at being called a baby.
“I’m nineteen…” He muttered sulkily.
“Baby.” Jimin repeated, “Baby Jungkook.” He marched forward and linked his arm through Jungkook’s and began to drag him off towards the foliage. “Come on, we can come back here last.” Jungkook fought the urge to flinch in surprise at the affectionate touch and allowed himself to be led after a distressed glance towards Hoseok that was ignored.
“Where to, Jiminnie? I’m thinking we should show him the tribes first.” Hoseok recommended as they began walking along a dirt pathway that appeared to be created from so much use. It was fairly narrow, so they had to walk in a single file line with Jimin in the lead and Hoseok in the back.
“The tribes would be best, yeah. They’re in the center, so they’re easy to find.” Jimin agreed easily. With a particular path chosen, Jimin walked with confidence through the forest.
For the most part, the walk was silent, aside from the occasional quip from Hoseok and Jimin that Jungkook would sometimes join in on and the odd flutter or rustle of the undergrowth. Jungkook swore that he would catch little glimpses of light flittering about around them, but he never quite worked up the courage to ask.
When they passed through the trees into a clearing that the tribe was placed on, there seemed to be an explosion of sound, the complete opposite of the peaceful silence of the forest. Jungkook froze in surprise at the scene in front of him.
It feels as if he’d walked straight into a festival one would see that honored the dwindling tribes, except this was much larger than a simple one-street festival. There were a multitude of tents lying about, each of them decorated with unique designs of feathers and claws held together by sticks. There currently seemed to be a fire going, and the people surrounding it were either sitting and remaining warm or were dancing about to the beat of the traditional instruments that looked hand crafted.
Jungkook could only watch, stunned, as Hoseok bounced up and into the circle of dancers. As if he was born for the purpose of dancing, he seamlessly joined in and slid through until he reached a line of food and grabbed three sticks with multiple pieces of meat speared on them. Without missing a beat in his footing, he rocked back over to Jungkook and Jimin and offered them both one. He only stopped his dancing to hand them their respective pieces of meat before he winked at them both and continued, somehow managing to take bites of the meat while doing so.
“Do you want to stay and join for a bit?” Jimin asked him, giggling when Hoseok’s movements became a little more suggestive and he playfully neared them.
Jungkook twitched and edged closer to Jimin, hoping to avoid the awkward confrontation that is Hoseok’s dancing. He shook his head. “N-no… I’ll pass.” He muttered quietly and took a bite of meat off of the stick, giving a small hum of appreciation at the taste. Hoseok seemed to notice his discomfort and stopped his dancing, only swaying a little to the beat. Jungkook shyly sent him a thankful smile.
“Then let’s keep walking.” Hoseok happily returned the smile and took the lead this time. They circled around the people and continued on a path. He didn’t explain where they were going this time around, and neither Jungkook nor Jimin minded.
Soon they were once again closely surrounded by trees, and Jungkook found himself beginning to relax. The quietness gave him the opportunity to reflect on the past few hours, and he allowed himself to do so this once.
A small part of Jungkook still was dubious of everything. There’s still the chance that he was asleep, or maybe even high (how that could have happened, Jungkook has no idea). But he didn’t feel high, and he’s sure that he would have felt the telltale effects if he truly had been, so that was out of the window. That only left the possibility of him being asleep. Without consciously thinking about his actions, Jungkook reached over and pinched his left hand and winced at the short burst of pain. Yes, he was definitely awake.
Jungkook startled out of his thoughts when he heard muffled laughter. His face was already starting to redden, and it intensified drastically when he risked looking over his shoulder at Jimin, who was hiding his laughter behind his hand.
Not wanting to be embarrassed further, Jungkook pouted and turned back around. He was not prepared to see a tiny palm-sized person only inches away from his nose.
Jungkook was not proud of the yelp that escaped his lips as he threw himself backwards. This time he heard laughter on both ends as Jimin and Hoseok and the tiny person burst into hysterics.
He stared blankly at the fairy. He continued to stare, even when the laughter surrounding him gave way to snickers and huffs.
“Yoongi, I think you broke him.” Hoseok forced out, trying to prevent another bout of laughter but wanting to speak.
“I didn’t do anything.” The fairy - Yoongi - defended himself. The deep and slurred voice was enough to startle Jungkook out of his reverie, and he looked at Yoongi in disbelief before turning to Hoseok.
“I’ve really lost it, haven’t I? Am I really not sane anymore?” Jungkook questioned weakly. At his question, Hoseok burst back into laughter that had him bending over. He heard Jimin guffawing behind him and sent him a halfhearted glare over his shoulder.
Jungkook felt something settle into his hair and it took all of his willpower not to flinch again. Judging by the small size, he guessed it was another… fairy. “If you are, then so are the rest of us.” The voice coming from the top of his head was even deeper than Yoongi’s, and Jungkook would have laughed at the irony if he wasn’t too mindblown.
Tiny fairies with deep voices. Who knew.
“Greet him properly, guys.” Jimin scolded with no clear force behind it.
Jungkook heard the grumbles coming from the fairies, but could tell they would listen when the one on his head compliantly stood up on his tiny feet and flew to join Yoongi. “Kim Taehyung,” he said and offered a box-like grin, “and Min Yoongi.” Yoongi nudged Taehyung in mild agitation for introducing him to Jungkook instead of doing it himself but smiled at Jungkook nevertheless.
“J-Jeon Jungkook.” He stumbled over his words awkwardly, and did not miss the way Hoseok’s and the fairies’ faces practically melted. Why did they keep doing that?
As they continued the adventure, Jungkook learned more about his ‘tour guides’ and the fairies. The information help to make him more comfortable around the four, and by the time they arrived at the other side of the beach, he was grinning and laughing along with his new friends. Well, he assumed the two fairies were smiling. He really had no idea, since they’d taken to sitting on his head and latching onto his hair to keep in place. One of them kept tugging and he had a sneaking suspicion that it was Taehyung trying to toy with him.
This part of the beach seemed to be different from the other by how it was formed. While the other side was smooth sailing and didn’t appear to have too many corals, providing for a perfect area for ships, this side was more unsteady. He could see how there were rocks lying about in the water, and the more gradual dip into the ocean helped to create an alcove of sorts that he could see people swimming in. Jungkook could see one person in particular that was standing on a rock that was cast far enough out that people were able to swim or stand around it in the water comfortably. He was sitting down with his feet in the water, completely soaked and hinting that somebody had played a joke on him at some point, and Jungkook realized that the man’s boots and socks were on the shore. He internally wondered why nobody else had their shoes on the shore.
“Namjoon!” Hoseok shouted merrily, and the person sitting on the rock attentively looked up. He smiled at the approaching group, his dimples contrasting greatly with the slightly intimidating features of his face.
The group of four walked closer to the water, and Jungkook was only a few feet away when he came to an important realization that really shouldn’t be surprising by this point. The reason the people in the water had no shoes is because they have no need for them. Mermaids would hardly need shoes, after all.
At the sight of the men, the majority of mermaids either fled somewhere else or went to the nearest rock that wasn’t taken to preen at their hair in the hopes of getting their attention. Jungkook flushed when his gaze caught with one of the mermaids who was tactlessly staring at him and quickly looked away, focusing instead on Namjoon and the last mermaid (merman? Jungkook wasn’t sure what to call him) that remained with his cheek laying on Namjoon’s thigh.
“Hey! What’s up?” Namjoon asked. He rose a hand in greeting while the other rested on the merman’s head from where it was carding through his hair. Yoongi and Taehyung flew over to the two while Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook stayed on the shore.
“We’re showing Jungkookie around, he’s new here.” Hoseok explained. He stared at the water before shaking his head in dismissal and looked back up at Namjoon, deciding to stay where he was.
“Jungkookie?” Namjoon echoed. He looked over at Jungkook and studied him for a moment before nodding in approval and chuckling. “I see. Welcome. I’m Kim Namjoon.”
“And I’m Kim Seokjin.” The merman spoke up. His smile was soft and tender, and for some reason Jungkook was reminded of his mother.
“Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet you.” Jungkook bowed his head, though it was more to avoid staring at the two than it was to be polite. The two were, simply put, gorgeous. All of the men were, but there was something different about Namjoon and Seokjin. They looked absolutely glowing, and looking at them felt like a crime.
Also, he was still very unused to the idea of mermaids. But Jungkook had a feeling that would be changing soon, especially if he was already starting to get used to the fairies.
