Chapter Text
After transferring to a new college, Jooyeon was given a laptop for school work. He hasn’t checked it out yet, so he decided to do so on a faithful Friday evening.
It's far from a new laptop, with many personal files from someone that had used it before him. Not too strange, since it’s a school laptop after all. Maybe the previous owner just forgot to wipe the data before returning it.
Something that really caught his eye however, was a copy of Minecraft, sitting among the disorganised pile of personal files and school work. Looks like the previous owner likes the same game as him.
Out of curiosity, he booted up the game. He has some time to kill anyways, his assignments are not due until Tuesday. The game is still logged into the previous owner’s account, “Jun_Han”. Jooyeon now has a name for the elusive person who owned this computer before him, albeit most likely not his real name. Jooyeon decided to snoop around some more and check out the singleplayer worlds. What was this mysterious Jun_Han guy up to?
There’s only one save file, simply titled “My World”. It was last played only a month ago, which surprised him. The laptop has been last used more recently than he thought.
He contemplates loading it up. Is he intruding on someone's privacy? Probably, but the mystery is too tempting to ignore. He needs to know more about this mysterious Minecraft player. And so, he did. He spawns in a nicely decorated little house.
“Ah. So this is the Jun_Han person’s house. It’s pretty cozy.”
He looks around a little more. Some storages, a kitchen area, a living room, the usual, nothing out of the ordinary. He decides to explore around the house. The outside is also pretty uneventful, so he decides to take a look in the stripmine near the house.
He travels down the tunnel dimly lit by the oddly few torches. He felt quite uneasy. “This is creepy. Who the hell plays in the dark like this?” but he pushed on anyway. “Maybe the guy just didn’t have a lot of torches to spare when digging this out.”
Jooyeon finally arrived at the “end” of the tunnel, the rest seems to be blocked off with cobblestone. Right in front of it, lies a book, on the ground, as if it was just dropped there. He felt even more uncomfortable. “Weird. This is actually starting to scare me.” But he reluctantly opened the book. He’s already down here anyways, and it’s not like the game would hurt him, right?
“If you see this book, run. Do not turn back, do not investigate further, delete this world.”
