Nick Close had felt a little confused since all those years ago of the time, he was kidnapped with his now best friends into the forgotten realms. Laying on his bed in what was currently Glenn's current apartment he's 15 now, memories splotched with more then just confusion and confliction.
A time where he was just Nick the boy trying to get his dad's attention, to be the cool kid. Not super interested in this group he had to carpool with only for his world to be thrown upside-down. Only for the day his dad went on trial to make that world turning change do backflips to a sickening degree. For time to change and rewrite the universe and change his own very soul and being, to become Nicholas Foster. An uptight kid,son of Jodie Foster. A time where he was never Nick Close.
Nicholas was a smart straight A student, played by the rules and frankly loved his dad just as much. With Glenn dealing with the fact he just lost him even if Nicholas wasn't aware of it. Where he didn't fault Nicholas for dealing with it how he did, but it did sadden Nick nowadays. Honestly a lot of memories of him being Nicholas are a blur for a lot of reasons he rather not admit. One was the whole becoming a demon, after learning Jodie was part demon. Changing his name to Nicky and going to Hell with Jodie to put it in extremely simple watered down terms.
Though the second most obvious one for the teenager was well they were two different people now. As of a few days ago a week after his birthday.Nicky during one of the trips to the forgotten realms with the dads and the others. Struck up a talk with Scam Likely, due to a curiosity of who he used to be and what could've been and Scam was unfortunately the most likely choice to understand this. Which turned into a rash decision and irreversible consequences, where Scam couldn't fully undo what was done but with a bit of goof magic and other shit.
Separated Nicky’s soul into two new beings that were, well now Nick & Nicholas. It's been an odd whirlwind frankly of custody between Glenn & Jodie. The reintroductions to the others between the both of them and some varied reactions from the other teens. The dads trying to see if they could reverse Scam's magic to put them back together.
Nick rolled to his side looking at the phone on his nightstand, he hadn't seen anyone besides Nicholas who was in the other bedroom across from him as they currently were at Glenn's place. A ding from his phone as his screen lit up a notification popping up, a message from Sparrow. As Nick grabbed his phone to open it, brushing strands of hair from his face to see what Sparrow wanted. A waving emoji with the few simple words ‘Do you & Nicholas wanna come over? We're doing a sleepover today,before the school year starts!! I think it will be a good chance to get to know both of you!’
Nick couldn't help but smile a bit, at the thoughtfulness of Sparrow reaching out first after days of silence. He understood it was also a big change for the rest of the group too, but something about Sparrow reaching out made him feel wanted even if he wasn't Nicky. Inhaling a bit he texted back. ‘Sure I'll ask Nicholas if he would want to as well, see you later?’ Which was met with a little heart reaction to his message.
Maybe this wouldn't be a bad start to everything. He could only hope while forcing himself out of bed to go talk with Nicholas bout this sleepover invite.
