Before this begin I would like to highlight that all characters portrayed are hopefully separated from the idol's image— away from their life as a person.
Second, in any way I HOPE this fic doesn't come off offensive or mocking. Considering the idea of this world's unfair hierarchy is —I won't deny— deeply rooted with real life problems such as misogyny and racism.
Third as I mentioned in the first warning, the characters would act different most of the time and would probably show a hint of support/belief with the hierarchy, (I would like to defend that the reason I wrote them like that was because of the propaganda, naturally if everyone believes the same thing, they'd also end up believing it.) that would change soon though. So please separate fiction to the real people.
Fourth if there is some part in the fic that truly did come off offensive, please don't hesitate to comment, I will take it seriously and adjust the fic.
Fifth as for the ship, I'm not quite sure what to focus on. My main goal was to have all the members slowly break away from their mentality as the story progress.
The following is an explanation on how A/B/O and the world function:
For the past centuries, mainly (O) omegas were the one to be enslaved, sold and never regarded as a human. However changes were made.
In the 21'st century, although those acts of trafficking and enslavery are now illegal, the rights of O's are still limited.
Every omega, by the law MUST have an alpha on top of their name. Basically glorified ownership.
Usually, underage omegas under a household has their father in their name. It could also be adjusted if there are other alphas in the family who are in the right age. By eighteen, the omega can terminate it ONLY if they have another alpha to take on the role. Omegas should always be under an alphas name, this could be a relative, a friend or anyone else. And is illegal to not have one. Those caught without a legal alpha are usually taken to a facility, where they are checked and placed under counseling, then if there really is no alpha possible. A social service worker would have to input their name instead. The omega doesn't necessarily has to have any sort of relationship with the worker, the worker just has to make sure that the omega is safe and Alive from time to time.
The view that society has towards omegas is unserious. They are regarded as creatures who can't handle the 'real world's and therefore just seen as weak. (A burden).
There are attempts of rally against the way they are treated however, like I said they aren't treated seriously just yet.
Now to the ABO part.
Once every two months, each category go in their own cycles.
Alphas = Ruts (the instinct to posses is powerful here, they stay guarded and scares off outsiders or threat away from their safe space, it could be a person or material wise. And if it's really a powerful cycle then they lose themselves into instinct and turn feral)
Betas = Spells (this depends on what secondary gender they lean into. Either an alpha or an omega, it's really mild but it's there.)
Omegas = Heats (the overpowering instinct to protect and 'please' would be tripled. Everyone the omega considers as 'safe' generally needs to be within eye range from the omega or they get antsy. This can be solved by scenting materials and offering it to the omega. If the cycle is bad, they as well turn feral.)
I'm also kinda suffering from writers block so it might suck but I'll make adjustments from time to time.
