Chapter Text
Eri leans against the wall of Cabin 13, staring at the stars as a way to distract his mind, no matter who ineffective it is.
And it's super ineffective. He still feels like crying. He's been strong for so long, somehow managing to live 5 years in the streets of Manhattan with little to no help, and his mind and body have relaxed way too much.
Ever since he returned to Camp, everyone whose hated him has calmed down a little on their harsh comments towards him being the child of Hades, but that's only because insulting him would insult Nico.
Eri sighs and is about to stand when his stomach growls loudly, disturbing the demigod in bed.
"Sleep, Miller..." Nico grumbles, rolling over and covering his eyes with his arm.
Eri rolls his eyes and walks to bed, sitting on it, only for his stomach to growl once again. Nico groans and sits up, glaring at Eri as Eri's kitten, Nyx, mews softly at the sudden dip in the bed.
"Did you even eat?" Nico asks, "You're not usually this noisy."
Eri rolls his eyes, "Shuddup, don't worry about what I did or didn't do. Plus, I didn't see you eat either."
"That's different," Nico says, getting out of bed. Approaching Eri, his feet make a soft padding sound against the floor. "We're getting you food."
"I don't see why--" Eri gets cutoff with a flinch when Nico grabs his arm to pull him off the bed. The flinch makes Nico recoil and Nyx crawl onto Eri's lap.
"Shit," Nico mutters, "I forgot, that's my fault. Just come on."
Eri nods and grabs Nyx before getting up, leaving the cabin without another word with Nico behind him.
