“Please..” Gaz was running as fast as his legs would take him which wasn’t fast, considering he was a sheep, Behind him the footsteps were getting closer, and something in him shifted as he ran faster than he’d ever ran going full panic mode, until he finally spotted it–the door!
Finally, the door of the music building was getting closer and he could almost reach the knob, he was almost there…
Until he felt a sharp pain in his leg and fell. He’d been caught.
Gaz knew there was no way out anymore, even as he frantically twisted and turned, even as he trashed his limbs, he was a goner. The adrenaline had already taken over but it was useless. Useless, because the sharp teeth had already found his neck.
This creature, who was this? Was he a student , here in this school? Was he an outsider? What animal was he? A wolf? A lion? Only one person would ever know, and that person did not live to tell, because Gaz died that night.

“How have you all been?” Gackt began as he walked up to join the others in front of the music building, which was locked for some reason.. It had been a month since the incident, and the school was finally opening again with the culprit now found–it turned out to be Suzuku, a panther from their music club.
The guy had confessed on his own, claiming he did it by accident after eating some meat from the black market for the first time and happened to spot Gaz after walking back to his dorm. It’d been an accident, so he didn’t get jail time for as long ( a law frowned upon by many people though.. ) .
Gaz had been the drummer for the band Gackt, Mana, Közi and Yu~ki had together ( they’d named it Malice Mizer ) , so they were having to find someone new. There were already some others gathering too, until–not their club leader, but a teacher finally arrived.
“Huh?” Gackt looked up for his conversation. “What’s he doing here?”
“Attention please!” The teacher ( a long-haired Italian greyhound by the name of Atsushi Sakurai, originally teaches physics ) called and the ones who had not yet looked up were now alert, too. “You’ve all seen the news of Gaz's unfortunate passing, I assume,” Mumbles went through the small crowd. “Then you also probably know of Tetsu ( the club leader ) and his relation with Gaz.” Tetsu had been dating Gaz for about a year and a half when he died, he was absolutely grief stricken upon hearing the news. “Sadly Tetsu is taking an indefinite leave from school, since he’s still heavily grieving.”
“Poor guy..” Közi whispered, amongst others. “What will happen to the club?” A lion ( by the name of.. Kamijo, Gackt believed ) asked. “Yeah, who’s gonna be the new leader?” Another one asked, a snow panther by the name of Asahi.
“There will be no new club leader, since there will be no club.” Mister Sakurai continued.
“WHAT?” Gackt, Yu~ki and Közi yelled in unison ( Mana just looked bewildered ), the entire crowd was now audibly complaining, some were yelling loudly too, as mr. Sakurai frantically tried to calm them down. “With the killer being from this club, and the original leader giving up we just don’t think it's safe enough anymore..”
“What the fuck is that for reason??” Gackt said, more to his friends than to the teacher himself, he didn’t hear it in the crowd. “You will be dismissed for today, but we expect you to have found a new club in 3 days.” “You asshole!” Someone yelled, “You have no reason to do this!” “Look, it pains me as much as it does to you, but it has to happen.” mr. Sakurai was actually one of the first people to have joined the club, and the first school band to be formed ( by the name of buck-tick ). It made great impact until he decided to become a teacher and leave it all behind, with that losing contact with most of the band’s members.
With that, he walked off leaving the angered students by themselves. See, the music club was created long ago for ( and by ) the outcasts of the school as a way to be themselves since most of them specialized in music. Outside of it people were usually bullied or just generally not doing good. “So…” Közi started. “Where are we gonna go now?” Other groups of people had already formed, talking about the ideas they had for new clubs with some walking away to check them out or just slack off.
“Not sure..” Gackt replied, and Yu~ki chimed in; “Shall we just check the bulletins?” They all agreed with that and made their way towards the bulletin board which people advertised clubs on.
“How about this one?” Közi pointed at a small flyer on the board titled ‘News club’. “The news one? How boring can you get?” Gackt exclaimed. He wasn’t too fond of running around the school trying to get pictures of people, or writing clickbaity articles or even worse–trying to pry in the lives of popular students as the articles usually did- but that was mostly since he was the popular guy in question usually.
“I don’t know, it seems pretty fun..” Yu~ki agreed with Közi. “Plus, the others seem pretty boring..” “How about you, Mana?” They all looked at the okapi, who was considering it. “I don’t know.. I kind of agree with Gackt–I’m not too fond of writing..” They all knew that wasn’t exactly true, Mana just didn’t like writing stuff that didn't involve vampires in some way. “Okay.. We’ll look further..”
They all continued scanning the board but sadly most listings were dangerously boring. “ “A theater club?” Gackt suggested. Gackt… You suck at acting.” Yu~ki reacted, while Közi was trying not to laugh.
-“I’m GREAT at acting, what are you on?”-
-“Sure buddy..”-
With that they continued their search until finally Mana found something; “The gardening club?”
“I’d rather not..” Közi looked very repelled by the idea of sitting and hoisting plants all day, watering them and whatnot. “I agree with Mana though, it seems fun enough!” Gackt did like the idea way more than writing some shit story about the secret live of the oh-so-great *insert student name* , with the thing being about some egg sandwich they ate on the 10th of june 1995.
“Hmm.. What if we–split up?” Yu~ki suggested. “Like how?” Közi asked confusedly. “Well, you and I go into the News club, and Gackt and Mana go into the Gardening one!” Gackt seemed fine with the idea, as he was good at making friends about everywhere he went, Közi liked it too as about anything was better than the boring shit he’d have to endure on the rooftop, Mana was the only one not too sure about it. Yes sure, he did like Gackt and they were friends but something about his huge ego wasn’t that appealing to Mana…
People shipped them, making up false rumours that the beautiful, great horse Gackt was dating the mysterious okapi woman Mana but it was usually based on some picture of them eating at a restaurant with the others.
Mana didn’t really understand why they’d do that as he wasn’t popular himself, but it was whatever.. People didn’t know him and usually assumed he was a beautiful woman by the way he dressed–the fact he didn’t speak adding up to it too.
In reality though, Mana was a man with quite a low voice, and overall very shy. Plus it wasn’t Gackt he really loved, it happened to be a cat..
A sweet and energetic cat..
That too adding to why he didn’t really want to go to the gardening club without Közi.
“Mana, you like the suggestion too or not?” Közi’s words snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked back at the group. “Sure..” He agreed to it, because after all the thought of the News club he was still not fond of.
“Then it’s settled, okay!” Közi cheered as he went to look at the details on the small picture. “What’s the matter, Mana?” Gackt sounded next to him. “Don’t you like being in the same club as me?” he pouted, ( as much as a horse could really pout) and Mana scoffed. “Whatever..”
Gackt liked Mana enough, although he did find it silly the guy usually didn’t talk in public spaces. As far as the shipping went, people usually did that with him and some random girl he’d been seen with for about 0.5 seconds and he had to admit, Mana was pretty.. Too bad Gackt wasn’t into guys.
Plus, when he’d first entered the club he thought Mana was a woman and would ask her out.. Until he spoke. Too bad..
They said their goodbyes to the other guys and made their way to the rooftop where the Gardening club was to sign up, and as they opened the door they were greeted with some students ( mostly girls as the guys were ‘too manly’ or some bullshit to work with flowers ) working on the plants. He saw some dogs, a deer and a bunny ( who looked awfully big for their kind ) as well as a fox. The bunny ( who turned out to be a guy ) spotted them first and walked up to them, shaking their hands. “You’re more new members I assume?” They nodded. “I’m Kami!” He continued. “I’m Gackt, and this is Mana!”
Gackt was used to introducing Mana as again, he didn’t talk when it came to public spaces.
“I know who you two are, yeah.” “Oh.. Isn’t that the popular couple?” He heard somewhere in the back as some people got closer. “Oh yeah!” Others reacted.
“No–we’re not..” Gackt stuttered slightly as he looked over to Mana who looked just as bewildered, apparently the rumour had spread far. “We’re not.. Together..” He finally managed to bring out of himself. “Oh, I see how it is..” A deer walked up closer with a mischievous look. “Plus, I’m not really into guys either..”
Apparently no one really knew since Gackt’s statement shocked most of them. “That’s a..guy?” Someone started. Gackt looked over to Mana who looked–weirdly expressionless for someone who had about 20 sets of eyes looking at him bewildered. He nodded, and Gackt was trying to change the subject, but he felt Kami’s eyes looking at him, something–dissapointed in them..
“Where can we sign up?” He finally continued. “Right here!” Kami brought them two papers with some stuff on it, and they signed their names.
“Welcome as official members of the gardening club!” He greeted them, after they had done so.
“So.. What do you do around here?” Gackt asked. “We garden, obviously.. But we also look at the bugs and identify them, and chat about rumours!” Kami smiled. “Seems fun enough!”
Gackt and Mana had a great time at their first day, the both of them making new friends ( About everyone except one person liked Gackt there so he had no trouble fitting in, and Mana became friends with a pretty golden retriever dog by the name of Hizaki, who also parttook in crossdressing along with Mana, and he was the only one who couldn't STAND Gackt–something about his ego.. )
The club had ended after some time, and Gackt and Mana found themselves walking back to their friends. Gackt had split once they reached the cafeteria with You and Chacha ( plus some others ) calling for him while Mana walked straight to Közi and Yu~ki who were happily discussing some stuff that had happened in their new club!
Apparently they’d met some people by the name of Chargeeeeeeeeeeeee and Sugiya, a fennec fox and a husky and had had a great time.
Their next class was math ( which all 3 of them took ) so they did have class together- after that it’d be over for today and everyone would go back to doing whatever it is they did after school.
