Before getting into the fic itself, I wanted to introduce myself a little and explain what kind of story this is.
This fic was translated with the help of machine translation tools because English is not my native language, and I’m not very confident in it yet.

Also, this story is based only on Descendants 1–3.

I usually post fanfiction in my native language fandom community. Descendants is actually very popular in my country, but these days almost nobody writes fanfiction for it anymore. And when it comes to Jay/Lonnie specifically, there were literally no stories for them until I posted one about one year ago. Since then, I’ve written around fifteen of them!
The fandom in my country is very small and lonely, so I wanted to try sharing my stories with more people through translation. Jonnie may not be a major ship, but there are still far more fans here than in my country’s fandom space! I’ve also found some wonderful Jonnie fics here already, and they made me incredibly happy.
I love these two so much, and I really want more people to care about them too.

I’ve written many different versions of these two in my native language already. This story is a small, soft moment featuring these versions of the characters and their friends:
- Jay:
He cares deeply about Lonnie as a friend, though somewhere along the way those feelings have quietly started turning into something more.
Normally, Jay is good at handling girls and talking his way through anything, but Lonnie herself remains a complete exception. Unfortunately, he still needs a little more practice figuring out what exactly to do with these emotions.
He is also firmly convinced that he is hiding this small crush with incredible skill.
Sadly for him, the people around him have more or less noticed anyway.
- Lonnie:
She remains completely unaware of Jay’s feelings, despite being extremely close to him and happily treating him as one of the most important people in her life. Meanwhile, Jay suffers quietly in the background while Lonnie unintentionally leaves him emotionally in the dust at full speed.
Bright, cheerful, and endlessly energetic, she spends every day happily enjoying life exactly as she pleases.
She is only just beginning to figure out what romance even means in the first place.
- Carlos:
A good friend to both Jay and Lonnie.
Kind-hearted and observant, he quietly watches over the two of them while finding their spectacularly slow-moving almost-romance increasingly entertaining.
- Chad:
Any conversation between him and Jay inevitably turns into something resembling a comedy act.
He remains hopelessly devoted to Audrey.
He has absolutely no romantic interest in Lonnie whatsoever, but as the captain of the extremely prestigious and obviously superior team that Chad Charming himself graciously belongs to, he firmly believes she should carry herself with the elegance and dignity worthy of such an honor. Naturally, this also means she absolutely should not be following random pickup attempts.
