He'd probably take you out to somewhere as fancy as he can afford. Maybe an amusement park. Or at a park for a picnic, with flowers around you (since we know he likes cheesy romantic stuff. Dorky and adorable)
He's the type of guy to wear a shirt, jeans and a leather jacket since he thinks he looks cool in it (and maybe he's hoping that you'll get slightly chilly so he can put it on you)
You and him wouldn't decide beforehand what to bring (he doesn't really think about that until the night before thus he messages you 'hey you're bringing the food, right?'
'Didn't you ask me out and plan the date?'
Oh. Right. Shoot.
He goes shopping the afternoon of, about 3 hours before since he thinks that's PLENTYYYY of time (it almost isn't)
He buys the basics after searching online what people have on picnic dates (he's inexperienced give him a breakkk)
Buys some chocolate and flowers (of course) along with some fruit (strawberrys, blueberries, watermelon), bread, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions and peppers (to make sandwiches since he isn't a good cook) and some juice.
It definitely isn't all that romantic but he's trying
He also remembers your favorite flowers so he makes sure to buy those
Adorable
Gets back to the dorm and asks his friends what they think he could add
Mina suggests making chocolate covered strawberries
He thinks it's adorable and attempts to make them
He does but they definitely aren't aesthetically pleasing (all except for a few which Bakugo made, he also helped with the sandwiches and is the reason why everything looks appetizing)
Don't get me wrong, Kaminari is a decent cook but everything he cooks looks nice but not MOUTHWATERING nice
He arrives at the date spot a few minutes late and sighs with relief when he sees you still aren't there
Though of course, he's gradually becoming uneasy as the minutes pass that you'll be a no show
15 minutes later, you show up and apologize for being so late, blaming it on traffic
He'd be the type of guy to check you out sneakily regardless of if your wearing a dress, a shirt, pants, anything. He's checking you out (though we do know he has some sort of standard so if you pull up in a rubber duck suit he's going to be amused but definitely not attracted)
He still loves you of course! The neon yellow suit just isn't making him all hot and bothered
Assuming you wore something normal, he'd probably blush as he checks you out and think that you look really cute (or hot, if that's your thing)
You both sit down and talk happily, opening up slightly to each other
You compliment him on the food and he accepts it (conveniently leaving out the part where Bakugo helped)
As the late afternoon fades into early evening you start getting slightly cold but Denki doesn't notice it until you explicitly show it
When you do, he internally smiles as he drapes his coat on you and moves slightly closer, you lean into him and he can't stop thinking of how adorable you look!
He may also take a glance at your chest briefly (without noticing but he doesn't complain)
You continue talking and the night ends with you briefly kissing
He walks you to your dorm room and you part ways, until next time.
