Chapter Text
1: The Boy who seemed perfect
I, Ethan Vale, is the “picture-perfect” guy at school. The guy that girls would hopelessly fall for and chase. The guy that has pitch black hair, crimson irises that could send the chills, you name it. The guy that everyone gossips non-stop. I really hate the attention.
But one day everything changed.
Whispers flooded the hallways of a new transfer in our school. I was in class, when my best friend, Mara whisper to me, “Hey, Ethan? There’s some cute guy coming in!!” Mara is my childhood best friend and I trust her with my life.
I look at her, drinking from my blood juice box. She was also the only one who knew about my vampire side. “Is that so?” I replied cooly. Just then…the guy that mara hopelessly fell for walking in with a confident, cocky aura radiating from him. Brown, tousled hair, dark green eyes that seemed to be able to pierce through ice. The homeroom teacher announced, “Today we have a transfer student. His name is Mason Kane.”
I froze, my blood running cold. “Mason Kane?” I thought, pondering. “I heard that name before.” It sound so familiar yet so distant. I sniffed the air and smelt…him. Mason. His blood. Mason smiled brightly, charming girls. “Hey guys! I’m Mason! I hope we can all be friends!” All the girls swoon quietly.
Typical.
Mason looked around for a place to sit. His eyes looked directly at me. Me out of all the people. My hairs stood at a end. The room felt electrifying as a second as he lingered his gaze. Then it broke as he moved next to me. My fangs peeked out a bit as I smelt him. His blood.
Delicious.
