When he arrives at the largest tower of the Sidones Castle, Felix announces his arrival via his boat's horn. As he steps off the boat, he encounters a light blue woman dressed in light purple with a deathly pale man by her side. When the woman sees Felix, she calls out "Oceans blessings to you!"
To which Felix replies with a smile "Oceans blessings to you too. I'm just here to deliver something for Jimmy, unless your Sea-Eighty wants me to stay."
"So formal Felix, do you need something from me?” She asks him, but then she just continues. “Anyway, you have my permission to keep your boat moored here a little longer if you’d like."
"Thank you Lizzie, I really haven't had any rest at all this week, so this is nice." Running an inn with your husband is kind of exhausting, so he’s going to try and take full advantage of this.
"Does he work you to the bone so hard?" she asks with a bit of worry in her voice.
"No, just busy."
"Oh, I think we have another visitor." While the vampire says this a black dragonborn with green highlights comes into earshot.
"Hey my queen, do we have a visitor?" He asks as he lands next to Lizzie.
“Sort of, wasn't planning on staying too long.” Felix says knowing fully well that it wouldn’t be quick.
“How unfortunate. I thought Martyn and Jim wanted to talk to you about something, but I can be wrong.” Not that he is though.
“As long as Mumbo comes too, because this can't be healthy.” Felix gets a weak nod to his request. “Did anything special actually happen since the last time I visited?”
To which Lizzie replies “Not really. Maybe a drowned here and there, but otherwise nothing special.” Which is not that weird, Sidones is a really safe place.
As they walk into the above water portion of the castle Felix declares “I don't need a potion by the way. I think the Cravises gave me some of their powers.”
“How interesting” Lizzie thinks. “I definitely have to give you one, don’t I?” She asks Joel with a grin.
“Can I get changed first?” he asks as he tries to take off his shirt while walking towards his personal changing room (just a small room where he’s usually allowed to change and leave his other belongings).
A few minutes later, he comes back out wearing Neon green swimming shirts. “Sorry for the wait. Having a tail and putting clothes on and taking them off isn’t easy.” He says with audible irritation in his voice.
“I get it,” says Felix. He does know a fair bit about some of his friends having struggles with their tail.
“Not as if you can really relate. You don’t even have a tail.”
“Did you forget that he also has a tail too?”
“Yeah Joel, he is also an Axolotlborn. Maybe not completely, he might only have a tail and when he gets angry his gills get visible from behind his ears, but that doesn’t make him any less of a person with a tail than you.” She chimes in, not taking her husband's bs.
“Maybe I just forgot that for a moment.” He adds sheepishly. Getting very dirty looks from both of them.
“Why didn’t he come along?” Lizzie asks, curious about her friends and their well being.
“He has his hands full with the Inn.” This is the only time of year that it’s decently busy with the big clean and the carnival.
“Is it that busy right now?” Mumbo then asks.
“Not really, it's the big clean tomorrow, so we’ll both be tired after that. That’s it mostly besides the carnival next week.”
“You need any help?” Lizzie asks, fully intending on leaving the kingdom for a day. “Me and Joel will come and help if you need it.” As he gives her a not so happy look.
“No no, Impulse, Skizz, Jimmy and Tango are coming to help.” That’s an advantage at least.
“Jimmy didn’t tell me that he was going to help you guys.” When they are ready to jump in the water, a blond head of hair comes above the surface.
“Hey Lizzie, Joel, Mumbo? and Felix, FELIX! I need to ask you so many practical things about tomorrow.” As he’s saying this, he jumps out of the water to grab Felix’s arm to drag him with him, not thinking, CLEARLY. And then it dawns on him and he lets go of Felix and excuses himself.
“A little too eager are we? What did you want to ask me then?”
In all his shock, Jimmy lets out a burst of bubbles and then he asks“Since when can you talk under water?”
“A while back, it’s actually really useful if I need to quickly jump in the water to get something.” Or when his husband is too tired to do so.
“Welllll, around what time am I expected at the Inn?” He asks.
“At 08:00, but earlier is always nice.”
“Are any of the others coming?”
“Impulse and Skizz are coming. Tango was also coming, he said.” As he sees Jimmy’s face light up he says, rolling his eyes. "So keep in your pants please.”
“We aren’t that gay for each other, plus it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other.” This is to his surprise not a lie.
Then out of nowhere they hear “Why do you talk so much about how he can’t visit then?” Lizzie asks.
“He showed me around his home, so I feel bad that I can’t do the same.” Which is a valid reason to fuss over this much.
“Why don’t you discuss this tomorrow and see what you can do about it. Plus can’t his hair go solid?” Mumbo asks, looking for something that can help with his predicament.
“No, not to my knowledge” Then Jimmy comes to another thing he wants to ask Mumbo in particular . “Mumbo, how is it you can also breathe down here?”
“I’m technically dead, so i don’t need air.” He deadpans.
“Doesn’t Vik have a problem with the whole you being dead thing, and isn’t he technically your thrall then?”
To which Mumbo replies in shock “No!! He fell for me because of my personality and having an adventurous side just like him. He lets me drink when I need to. Actually, now that I think of it, he also makes vials of his own blood, just for me to take whenever! Then you go and say that I put a spell or something on him when he clearly loves me for who I am.” And he has every right to be angry about this.
“Sorry for jumping to conclusions.” he says as he hangs his head in shame. “Yeah, my head really doesn't seem to be on right today.” He confesses.
“You can say that again.” Martyn retords, seemingly appearing out of nowhere as he turns his attention to Felix. “Hey, took you long enough to come and visit again, don't you think?” As Felix thinks about it for a moment, when was the last time he visited them?
“Well, you don't have to run an inn with your partner, do you?” Felix says back with a hint of annoyance in his voice. This actually makes Martyn back off, not wanting to press any further, ‘cause he knows how scary Felix can be when he’s mad mad.
“What was it you guys wanted to talk about anyway?” Back to his normal tone of voice.
“We were thinking about visiting Mount Blackforge to go and hang out with the guys there, Fwip, Impulse and the like.”
To which Jimmy adds. “And maybe build up my heat tolerance.”
Then Joel cuts in to tease “What you meant to say is, so you can go hang out with your lover some more.” as a smirk finds a place on his face, clearly proud of what he said.
“Now we are talking about Jimmy, I have something for you.” It takes a bit, but then his face lights up.
“FINALLY!!! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this. Where is it?” He asks full of glee and anticipation.
“It’s on my boat, you want me to go and get it for you?” Felix asks to be polite.
“No, I'll come with you.” Not able to contain his excitement.
“What is it if I may ask?” unable to hide his curiosity.
“I can’t really remember actually, so it’s a surprise for me to.”
As they swim to the surface Felix thinks to himself “How did Tango fall for this dunce?" As they surface Felix swims to his boat and dries his hand a bit before getting Jimmy his long awaited package. “Here you go.” He says with a big smile on his face.
As he hands Jimmy the box. He rips it open to see it’s a cowboy hat with a piece of blue fabric around it plus a sheriff star and a blue bandanna in the same color. When he looks back in the box, he sees a tiny note and picks it up. As he reads it, tears form in his eyes.
“To my handsome sea rancher: I hope this finds you in time, and I hope you love it as much as I loved putting it together. I hope to see you wear it either when you visit me, or I visit you. Lots of love from your flaming hot rancher. Lots of love.”

By now Jimmy is full on ugly crying about the fact his boyfriend sent him a matching hat and bandanna.
“You okay?” Martyn asks as he reads the note, quickly realising why Jimmy is such a mess right now and hugs him. As the sun starts to set over the horizon, Felix waves goodbye to his friends while he returns home, to the one HE loves most.
