Chapter Text
CHARACTERS:
Arrow|He/him|Former Blackrock|Lost Temple|True Eye cultist|23: A former Blackrockian who somewhat defected to Lost Temple due to Blackrock’s highly aggressive nature. After defecting to Lost Temple, he joins the Church of the True Eye. He is friends with Balloon, being his roommate in Crossorads, but doesn’t much get along with Balloon’s other friends, Ace and Star. He primarily goes by Butterfly Blade, or Butterfly for short, even though(to his displeasure) Balloon calls him “Butter B.” Ace only refers to him as “cultist” with heavy distain. Star has no idea about his criminal past or his cultist ties, if she did, she would most likely try to kill him (real).
Balloon|He/they|Playground|Flipside manager|21: Flipside’s tired manager from Playground. He wonders how he’s still employed half the time since he barely does anything. Balloon covers the rent for both them and Arrow, which they’re not too happy about. He wishes his fighting(or should I say Phighting) skills could be put to good use. He’s a great fist-fighter, but without a helpful gear, he’d be useless in a professional phight. He can at least defend himself from thieves on his way home.
Ace|He/him|Thieve’s Den|Professional gambler|28: A gambler (who surprisingly doesn’t lose more than half of the time) from Thieve's Den. He doesn’t like to get into many phights but when he does, he won’t let himself lose. He’s friends with Star and Balloon but absolutely despises Arrow. He hates the church members due to his past, losing his sister to the same cultists. He’s a great phighter despite needing a robotic arm.
Star|She/her|Thieve’s Den|Darkage Clan member|23: A Darkage Clan member who wishes for the Inpherno to be a paradise for all those living in it. Her dreams may be hard to achieve but only death will be able to stop her from doing all she can to make them come true. She’s friends and roommates with Ace, who almost got her killed, but she doesn’t really care since he still tried to get her out of it. If she knew about Arrow’s real persona, she’d try to kill him in any way possible.
MINOR CHARACTERS: (They won’t show up much)
Boomerang|She/her|Thieve’s Den|Decessed|19: An inphernal growing up beside her older brother Ace. She was mostly careless in her early childhood and any time she got into a situation, her brother would help. Into their teenage years, they became very close and knew everything about each other. At some point she went to crossroads and [Insert unwritten lore I haven’t thought of here] she died in a phight with a True Eye cultist. Ace wasn’t far when this happened and his [also unexplained] intuition (off brand spidie sense) he came to her aid only to find a corpse and a teal clad inphernal standing before him.
Viper|They/them|Blackrock|assassin|25: A specially trained assassin from Blackrock who just wants to get the job done right. They don’t much care who they’re sent after, only how hard it will be. They’re always up for a good challenge every now and then, but going after an old friend who defected from Blackrock, isn’t their style. They care about loyalty, and their loyalty to their region isn’t as strong as their loyalty to their best friend. They’re still in contact with Arrow and know about his cultist ties and about all his “friends”. They’re the only other person who knows that he started to form a small crush on the gambler who DEFINITELY doesn’t like him back (yet). Viper can easily kill just about anyone, especially with their tech, which was made by them and only slightly improved by Blackrock’s best inventor, Subspace T. Mine.
Spear|she/her|Lost Temple|Artist|33: An ex-True Eye cultist who now lives in Crossroads, and vows to never return to Lost Temple. She feels no connection to the region so it doesn’t much affect her. She’s a decent artist and mostly focuses her skill into pottery. She sells whatever she makes, only occasionally keeping her work. She only ever takes the misshapen ones that no one would buy. She’s a great phighter but doesn’t want to have to use her skill.
