Chapter Text

Error sighed. It was too early in the morning to deal with this but unfortunately Ink just had to create 10 new aus in one day and a few of them were getting too close to colliding with others. His first stop was an au called Undervoid!XI. He could've sworn there was already some au called undervoid but if there was they were in no way connected as this one was an original. He opened a portal and stepped inside the au and almost thought he was inside of Geno's save screen but there were no buttons. Looking around, Error saw only void; or atleast he did. Sitting on the floor was a... child? He actually wasn't sure what it was so he decided to CHECK.

Well damn. That wasn't supposed to happen. The only ones with such glitched and incomplete CHECKs were glitches and Ink, speaking of, it was a bit strange Ink or the Creators didn't name this new species, especially since it was sapient (as only sapient beings can be CHECKed) but it didn't matter. Looking to the left, Error saw a Gaster watching them but didn't think much of it. It was just a Gaster, one who was quiet and hadn't interfered, plus he couldn't leave the au so Error decided to approach the mortal, who was now staring(?) at him. The mortal was small with trousers spiky hair and pointy ears on the side of its head. Everything about it was purely white with black outlines, aside from two red glitches on their right, which was a stark contrast to the black void they were in. They wore a striped poncho (so probably a child then) with a button, some boots and simple trousers. Most interestingly, they had no (visible) face, only a mask with one horizontal and one vertical line, as if they were a sketch waiting for a face to be drawn.

"Hey, abomination, what's your deal?"

"What" Error had no idea if that was a question or not, this things voice is more flat than the void looks.

"Why's your CHECK so fucked up?"

"Oh that"

"..."

"   "

"Well aren't you gonna answer?"

"If you got here you can mess with code right

Just look at my code"

Error was starting to get annoyed. This kid was being difficult for no reason. Still, he didn't loose his temper. It was a kid after all.

" I tried, it looks just as messed up as your code."

"Oh

I'm not finished"

"What do you mean you're 'not finished'?"

In that moment, Error was filled with dread. Somebody left incomplete and glitched inside a void. It sounded too familiar.

"I mean I was left unfinished by my creator"

Well fuck.

Creators! High Gods!, Error thought, What did you do this time? Don't tell me you tried to make another Guardian.

Relax Error, we would not try create another guardian and abandon it like you and Ink. Replied Fate; a High God.

Well atleast it wasn't meant to be a guardian but if the High Gods didn't make it then the Creators did. Still, creations abandoned before their world was made were erased, so why was this one still here?

"Who are you anyways"

Oh right. It's still here.

"I am Error, God and Guardian of destruction. It is my job to ensure the multiverse isn't overrun by abominations like you." Unfortunately, he thought bitterly.

"Oh so your kinda important huh"

"Yes I am. You should be more alarmed by my presence, since you know about code and the Creators. Most would be afraid of me. How do you know of theese things anyways?"

"Afraid huh

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhh noooooooooo shiver me timbers

I'm shaking in my boots

Ahhhh

Your scary presence is overwhelming me

Ahhhh

I can't handle it

Oh ohhhhhh noooooooooo

I ded now

Bleh"

Even if their voice was the exact same, Error was no idiot. He could practically feel the sarcasm dripping from their words as they now lay on the ground dramatically.

"Real mature. I'm busy right now I'll deal with you later. For now I need to..." On second thought, he doubted that even if it's empty it would be a good idea to tell a child he has to destroy their world. "Go take care of some business. For now, I'll leave you at my friends place. Then we can talk about your code later." Honestly this kid had his curiosity piqued. It wasn't everyday something new happened, not within the functions and mechanics of an au, but within the functions of the multiverse and with the Creators involved, this rule breaking was likely meant to happen. The only question was why. Why weren't they erased?

With a sigh, Error opened a portal and tossed the kid through, then stuck his head through said portal.

"Hey I'll be back for it later, thanks, bye." And he closed the portal.
