Leon had just recently a few weeks ago moved to Raccoon City he was super excited to start a new life here finally getting to work as a police officer something he'd wanted to do ever since he was young, as he came home late he was hoping to see her again. Her being his neighbour just across the hall she looked to be around his age with short just below the chin silky golden blonde hair and soft emerald eyes that he could drown in, his heart sped up just thinking about her and a soft pink blush dusted across his cheeks.
He wasn't sure what this feeling was it could just be a passing crush, his knees went weak every time he saw her in the halls she'd always smile and wave, he'd attempt to do the same without melting into a puddle of goo at the sight of her. As he was struggling to find which key was the one to the door to his apartment on his key chain he heard soft footsteps headed his way, he slowly looked up to see who was coming his way and that's when he saw her. He felt his heart speed up at the sight of her he fumbled and dropped his keys she walked over and softly bent over to grab them at the exact same time as he had their hands brushing.
Leon felt goosebumps rising on his skin when there hands brushed he couldn't believe it she was so close to him he could smell her vanilla scented perfume, she softly handed him the keys "Here you are," she said as she placed them into his palm. He really hoped that his hands weren't sweaty right now "I uh th..thank you." It seemed that she was even more beautiful up close Leon thought that maybe she was an angel. Then he watched as she went into her own apartment bidding him a good night as she did, that night he as lay in bed he thought about the encounter in his head. He felt his face heat up again, he hated how he could barely speak to Ashley without making a complete fool of himself.
The next morning once his alarm went off and he started to get ready for another day at work he tried his best to hype himself up, maybe he couldn't get the courage to actually ask her out but maybe he could just have a simple conversation with her and they could talk about simple things like her day or how the weather had been these past few days. He barely saw her the next few days it wasn't until a rain soaked night when he finally saw her again, they were both dripping wet from the rain. She smiled at him as they both entered the elevator, "It's pretty bad out there I completely forgot to bring my umbrella this morning," she told him.
He could feel his heart beating in his chest his palms already sweaty, he gulped and pulled himself together "Yeah I didn't think the rain would be this bad," he laughed trying to make a good impression. She giggled softly back and he felt something bloom in his chest, she was still simply gorgeous even with rain droplets clinging to her skin. For he wished to be one of those droplets kissing her skin, "So how has work been for you?" she asked simply trying to initiate small talk. He fiddled a little with his soaked sleeve on his jacket "I uh it's been fine pretty busy actually you?" he replied staring into her emerald green eyes.
She wiped a few droplets off her face which dripped from her hair "Mine's been alright I work for the newspaper place just a few blocks down this one piece has been kicking my butt a little," she groaned, Leon softly smiled "Well that sucks maybe I can take your mind off of it would you like to go out for lunch with me sometime," he blurted. He felt his heart speed up again he was praying internally that he wasn't going to get rejected and make a complete fool of himself. Then another soft smile came onto her face and he felt himself melt "Yeah sure I'd really like that here's my number I'll give you my number so we plan a date and time," she said as she rummaged through her purse to find a pen and paper scrawling down her number and handing it to him.
He couldn't believe it he felt a smile come onto his face, he had finally gotten the courage to ask her out after weeks of pining after her. Then the elevator doors opened and the two stepped out "Well have a good night Leon," she waved and smiled as she attempted to find the key to her apartment, Leon made it to his door as well "Yeah you as well Ashley," he blushed as he watched her go into her apartment. He tried his best to not drop his keys again his hands were a little shaky he couldn't believe what just happened he was finally going out with the girl of his dreams he could not mess this up.
Now he just had to secure the date, time, and place. Also he had to find the perfect outfit in which to wear he browsed through his wardrobe he wasn't sure if he had nice enough clothes would he have to go to the mall or something to find an outfit. That would have to be for another time he was exhausted as he pulled off his soaked clothes laying them out on the air vent to dry off, he changed into some pyjamas for the night he felt like he was on cloud nine as he attempted to fall asleep.
