Work Text:

The slam of your car door could probably be heard from down the block.

After a long, stressful day at the agency, you were finally home. It's been like this for weeks now: wake up, go to work, stress, come home, and sleep. A constant cycle with no end in sight. As a hero course student, you expected your days as a pro-hero to be stressful, but you hadn't realized just how demanding it would be for your well-being.

This week has been particularly shitty. Everything that could go wrong did, and somehow, you were always at the center of it. Fortunately for you, it was Friday, which meant you had two straight days of well-deserved relaxation ahead of you. In theory, you would spend it with your two husbands, lounging around and clinging to the two larger heroes like your life depended on it (and in reality, it kinda did); however, it was rare that all three of you were off on the same days.

Speaking of your two husbands, both of their cars were in the driveway when you pulled up, which was unusual since it's not often that Katsuki beats you home. Eijirou is usually home first, followed by you, and then eventually Katsuki when he gets off his late patrol. You wanted to smile at the thought of cuddling up next to them after such a stressful week, but you couldn't. Everything hurts, and your clothes feel itchy and suffocating the longer you have to keep them on. You just want to take a hot shower and stumble around blindly until you pass out on your comfy bed. Eijirou had done laundry this morning, so the fresh sheets were calling you even more than usual.

You opened your trunk, gathering your work bag and other belongings before slamming that closed as well. Although you couldn't help it, you still silently apologized to your car. Everything was getting entirely too much, and you couldn't be bothered to do anything gently. If Katsuki were with you, he would criticize the way you slam the door and then do the same thing without even realizing it.

As you made your way up the porch, you could already smell your favorite food cooking. You had completely forgotten it was your night to make dinner, which meant you hadn’t picked up any ingredients on your way home. Eijirou had made the three of you a hearty breakfast that morning (a welcome start to an otherwise terrible day), and Katsuki had packed each of your lunch bentos. You always loved when he made your lunch, though it didn’t happen often; according to him, he “wasn’t a damn housewife.” Still, as much as he hated to admit it, you could tell he enjoyed cooking for you just as much as he liked when you guys cooked for him.

Of course, as you reached into your bag to grab your keys, they were not in the front pocket where you usually kept them. Groaning to yourself, you set the rest of your stuff down and rummaged through the seemingly bottomless bag that you took with you to work and back every day. It was heavy, and the leather straps were getting more and more uncomfortable as the bag became worn. Just as you finally spot your keys at the very bottom, previously obscured by your civilian clothes, the door swings open.

“Welcome home, baby,” Eijirou said with a smile, a little too enthusiastically for the type of mood you were in.

You tried to give him a more positive response, but your body betrayed you, settling instead for a half smile and a grimace in acknowledgment.

The redhead looks at you sympathetically, knowing all too well how you look after a bad day. He was always pretty perceptive and able to read your and Katsuki’s emotions from a mile away. Most days, you loved that he could immediately tell that something was off, but today, you just wanted to get inside and lock yourself in the bathroom to shower and mope. You reach down to grab the rest of your belongings off the front step, but Eijirou beats you to it. Slinging your bag over his shoulder, he grabs your free hand and leads you inside.

You hadn't realized just how cold it had been outside, too preoccupied with your inner turmoil, until you stepped inside and felt the warmth of the house envelop you. You began taking off your shoes, noting just how heavy your support gear suddenly seemed as it weighed you down. Those items usually come off next, but you were far too tired to even think about taking the extra time to untie and unclasp each one right now. You planned on giving up and heading into the kitchen to see what smelled so good when your husband stopped you with a hand on your waist.

“Aw, let me help you,” he offered, humming as he worked. “Were you just gonna leave all this on? It's way too much to be comfortable.”

You muttered a quick thanks before stepping out of your various support items. You could hear Katsuki in the kitchen, presumably finishing up dinner. You were so ready to get off your feet and rest with your two favorite people.

Once everything was off, Eijirou grabbed your hand again and led you into the kitchen. Leading you around was one of those things he loved to do, learning early on that it was his way of showing affection and being of service when you or Katsuki needed it. And right now, you definitely did.

Entering the kitchen, Katsuki was setting the table, swiftly moving throughout the kitchen like he always did. He was wearing his signature black T-shirt and sweats, but this time, his hair was tied back into a little ponytail. You recognized the red tie as one of Eijirou’s, having a bunch of them lying around the house for when he got too tired of his long red locks. You bit back a remark about how cute he looks, knowing that it would only provoke a string of irritated grumblings.

“Dinner will be done in a bit, so go change,” he said, walking up and giving you a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Hello to you too,” you replied with a slight smirk.

It wasn’t uncommon for one of you to end up eating dinner in your hero costume. There had been plenty of days when someone came home too exhausted to change, covered in sweat, blood, and who knew what else, only to sit down at the table to the explosive blonde’s obvious dismay. Before you could give a quick nod and head upstairs for a shower, a strong arm wrapped around your waist and gently pulled you back.

“I already ran you a bath. Come down when you’re done, babe.” Eijirou said with his signature sharp-toothed grin.

“Thanks, hun.” You stood on your tiptoes to give him a quick kiss.

You felt kinda bad about your lackluster responses as you made your way up the stairs. Eijirou had run you a bath and helped you out of your hero gear, while Katsuki had taken over dinner on a night that was supposed to be yours to cook. For all you knew, they’d had days just as exhausting as yours, maybe even worse. But the stress of the week was finally starting to catch up with you, and the weight of the day was getting heavier with each step you took.

Your bath was relaxing, filled with bubbles and your favorite bath salts Katsuki had picked up last week. When you finally convinced yourself to get out and change into more comfortable wear, you made your way back downstairs. There were three plates set up at the table, each of your husbands sitting on either side of your usual spot, already sharing conversation and talking about their day. It was such a domestic-looking scene, both heroes in their pjs, talking and laughing as they waited for you to join them.

“Hey baby, how was your bath?” Eijirou said as you sat down to the right of him, Katsuki at your left, watching you intently.

“It was really nice, thank you, Eiji,” you assured, taking his hand into yours at your side. You could be sitting right in his lap, and you would still never pass up the opportunity to be even closer.

“Of course, my love. Kat made your favorite.” He grabs the pot in the middle of the table and starts helping you make your plate, of course, well aware that you could do it yourself. You turned to Katsuki with a weary smile. This morning, you had been so prepared to cook dinner tonight, always keen on keeping your meal schedule intact. And almost as if he could read your mind, he suddenly blurted out.

“Dont you dare feel guilty about not making dinner tonight; you can do it tomorrow,” he said, shoveling even more food onto your plate when Eijirou had moved onto his own.

“Thanks, Kats.”

You guys ate for a while, the other two talking a little more than usual, with you doing most of the listening. They were definitely making up for some of the silence on your end, as they could tell you did not want to talk as much tonight. Dinner was delicious, and as you ate, you could feel yourself getting more and more sleepy. It wasn’t even that late yet, especially for a Friday night when the three of you would either watch a movie together or all do different tasks, just in the same room.

Gathering everything from the table, Eijirou got up to start on the dishes. When you thanked Katsuki for dinner and offered to help clean up, the red-haired hero insisted that the two of you sit on the couch and wait for him so you could all watch a movie together. He even promised you could pick, met with only minimal pushback from Katsuki.

“Hard day?” Katsuki had asked as the two of you finally got settled on the couch.

“Hard week.” It came out more mumbled than you had intended, but he didn't seem to mind as he pulled you closer into his chest.

“Well, luckily for you, we’re here to take care of you.”

You smiled, grabbing the remote and scrolling through the endless choices. Katsuki ran his fingers through your hair as you did so, watching you scroll and giving mini suggestions when he saw one you might enjoy. Before the three of you had gotten together back at UA, Friday movie nights were a part of your routine, even when the explosive blonde continuously protested it. Probably because Eijirou would insist they happen in his room so as not to disturb Shoji on the next wall over. During this time, the three of you were rarely separated, and when you were together, it was never quiet.

“How did you know I was having a bad day?” You asked quietly.

He snorted in response, repositioning you as Eijirou made his way into the room to join you guys. With Katsuki’s help, you had chosen to watch one of your favorites but had paused it before it could start. As much as the other had insisted that he was okay with you guys starting the movie without him, you could tell he was almost done in the kitchen, so it made more sense to you just to wait.

“Your message to Kats seemed off earlier; he could tell right away,” Eijirou answered, getting into his usual position and kissing you both on the forehead.

Before you could respond, Katsuki groaned loudly, picked up the remote from where it had been left last, and handed it to you.

“You get all weird and fucking short with people when you’re upset, no shit I could tell.”

You just nodded.

You started to second-guess your movie choice, wishing one of them had just picked something instead. But it was clear they wanted to give you a chance to relax and have a little control over something trivial after spending the entire week feeling as though that control had been stripped away by one circumstance after another.

“We took the weekend off,” Eijirou remarked. Sometime during the conversation, the positions had shifted. Now you were lying in Katsuki’s lap against his chest with your legs stretched across the redhead’s while he gently ran a hand along your calf.

“What? Why?” You pressed. You already knew that they had an important joint mission coming up, so each was taking all the time they could to get their agencies prepared and ready for the frenzied weeks to come.

“So we can spend it taking care of our precious spouse, of course.” This time, he picked up your hand and gently kissed your knuckles, something he tended to do to calm you down in moments of distress. You didn't even have to look up at Katsuki to tell he was rolling his eyes at the display. As much as he loved both of you, he still liked to play up his discomfort with anything overly sentimental, especially when Ejirou insisted on taking it to levels well above one hundred.

“But won't that mess up your schedule?”

“Don’t worry too much; I think we all need a few days to recuperate.” Eijirou took the remote out of your hands, messing with some of the sound settings and putting the TV on a sleep timer, knowing all too well the three of you would be too comfy to get off the couch and fall asleep before the movie ends.

“Especially after all the villain shit last week,” Katsuki said with a scoff. The two of you grimaced in response.

There had been a national holiday the week before, which acted as a catalyst for an increase in villain activity in town. The agencies in the area typically prepared in advance for the spike in crime during these periods, but they had recently been severely understaffed, forcing the three of you to pick up the slack at each of your respective locations. It had been a mess, of course, never a dull moment as you rounded up criminals and dealt with the constant onslaught of media attention.

“If you guys are sure,” you muttered, more to yourself than to the two of them.

“I don’t do things I’m not sure of, you know this,” Katsuki grumbled, continuing to stroke your hair. By this point, Eijirou had a hand around his shoulders and was snuggling into you guys closer. At times like these, you are reminded that a bigger couch is next on your list.

“We just wanna be here for you.” You felt a much larger hand move from your calves to your waist, slowly stroking and softly whispering encouragement as the movie was finally started.

This only lasted about twenty minutes before you felt yourself drifting off. The week had been long for all three of you, and knowing you had the entire weekend ahead to spend together lifted your spirits significantly. Their presence seemed to settle around you perfectly, as though it would be a crime to ever pull the three of you apart.

“Thank you for tonight. I really needed this,” you said in a whisper. You couldn't tell if Katsuki had already fallen asleep or not, but you assumed he had by the even sound of his breathing as he rested his head on top of yours, snuggled even deeper into Eijirou's side.

“Anytime, my love, now rest.”

And as if that was all the permission your body needed, you drifted off into nothingness.
